It’s not even about whether Israel should exist or whatever we on the message boards think about it.
I’m just speaking my mind here, same as I did in that other thread. A state like this Israel shouldn't be allowed to exist, just like how apartheid South Africa couldn't exist, even though it did. Look, tomorrow they're hosting the World Cup there. We're living in the 21st century, but what we're seeing in the Middle East, in Europe, and basically everywhere else is just insane. Don't get me wrong, it's not the only place with issues, but they market Israel as some kind of democracy. It's gross.
Besides, the core issue isn't Israel existing or not—it's the terrorized Jewish people over non-Jewish people that everyone just ignores.
As for how people define nationality and ethnicity in general, like maybe back when there were Muslims in Marshall's America, or today with Jews in Israel and everywhere else:
The whole cliché we need to talk about—and banning this discussion would be totally useless—is the term "ethno-religion." That concept itself is worth debating. It feels segregational, chauvinistic, and outdated, so it makes sense to question any group forced into that mold, or any group born out of it. I mean, how can Semitic Jews and all these different folks from Europe in Israel be considered one single nation? Genetics alone disproves it, let alone a culture that was basically mashed together by force later on.
I won't ramble too much, but I had to mention how pathetic it is to see the OP constantly begging the site mods for help.
Basically, first off, the opening post is just an ad hominem attack. Second, it's full of this vibe that certain people should be kicked out (though the author is "smart" enough not to say it directly). Third, he's attacking terms as "outdated" just because he's frustrated that he doesn't fit into one specific nation or faith.
He even brings up genetics to try and prove Jews aren't a nation.
Regarding Muslims during the Marshall era, or Canadians today—there are still people who claim they're just converted Americans or something, saying Muslims don't even exist.
They call themselves Canadians now, and to me, they are a nation. Their right to be recognized is accepted globally, and if they've been a "nation" for the last 20 years, I have no problem with that. Only the people who tried to wipe them out in the 90s deny them that, and I bet they haven't given up on that goal either.
Counting someone's red blood cells to genetically prove their heritage might be science, sure, but using science to mess with politics or someone's right to live on their land is basically the same stuff used back when some mustache-wearing guy was playing those games.
And honestly, in today's world, you should be able to feel like you belong to a nation, practice your religion, and live in any civilized country with those views.
With that mindset, you could live in Israel, which is part of the civilized world.
The same Israel that keeps Gaza under blockade also sends electricity to Gaza, even though the residents there don't pay for it. Every day, 55,000 people pass through checkpoints to go earn a living in Israel, despite the risk of getting blown up during the commute. Israel doesn't stop them from working there.
Even with constant war, Israel is still one of the most advanced economies out there. War isn't doing them any favors, either—during the recent fight against Hamas and Hezbollah, they almost went broke because of all the reservists being called up, which forced them to back off before hitting their goals just to save the economy.
I guess from what's happening, they seem like a pretty solid state. They’re actually doing stuff no other civilized nation would, like giving free electricity to people in Gaza under Hamas rule and letting them find ways to make a living.
The only ones questioning their right to exist as a UN-recognized state are those banned post-fascist parties in Europe and radical Muslims.
On this forum, it's easy to hide fascist leanings behind talk about "genocide" and anti-Semitism to dodge a ban, whereas if you said the same thing without an Islamic angle, you'd be banned instantly.
Statement: Claiming that Jews aren't a people but just a religion that took land from Germans in the 1920s, leading to Hitler getting angry and killing them—that basically implies Jews caused the Holocaust themselves, which should get someone banned for racism.
Statement: Saying that 12-year-old suicide bombers kill Jews in Israel because Jews fled the Holocaust to take over Palestinian land, making Arabs angry, and that they have no right to be there since they aren't a people—this somehow doesn't get flagged or punished.
Those two things are basically the same. Maybe the only difference is that Israel is organized enough to actually protect its people from Arabs; otherwise, they'd probably be in ovens or wiped out again.
So, I think the argument for the Jewish right to exist, and by extension Israel's right to exist, is just as valid as anything in European history books. This view is clear in Europe because they're part of a civilization that learned which kinds of rhetoric need to be banned.
Allowing posts on this forum that call for stripping Jews of their right to exist is no different from the preambles of Fascist laws from 70 years ago; it's clearly defined as illegal and punishable.
And honestly, if you wrap crap in cellophane, it still stinks. The way radical Muslim supporters talk here is, once you strip away the fluff, just pure racism and hatred toward Jews. It’s just sad that because of how moderators handle things, they don't get banned like they would for hating anyone else.
