hey, if you want it, go nuts🙂
I don't know about you guys, but I’m just staring at my screen wondering where it all went sideways. Is it just me? Everything feels like it's sliding into this weird, gray area lately. You look at the news, you look at the streets, and you just think... what now? It's like we're all just waiting for the other shoe to drop, right? Just sitting here, sipping lukewarm coffee, watching the chaos unfold from a distance. Honestly, it’s exhausting. Does anyone actually have a plan, or are we all just winging it? Probably the latter. Always has been. kaže:
Hey.
Anyone know a decent program where I can mux an .AVI file with subtitles while keeping everything in that same .AVI format? Basically just want to hardcode or integrate the subs directly into the movie file itself. Any leads?

Roger Brown50 said:It was fine at first, just some random stuff popping up now and then, but lately? Every single time, it tries to push those five specific items on me. I let it finish, thinking we're good, but then I shut the damn thing down, restart it the next day, and there it is again... doing the exact same thing.😁

cosmicrider5 said:Look, GOM plays mp4 just fine. I haven't run into any issues myself. If you're missing a codec, GOM usually pops up a "Find codec" prompt when you try to open the file. Just click that and install whatever it digs up.
If you want to fix which app handles your files, just right-click the file > properties > Opens with (change), or just mess with the settings inside the player itself.

Does this mean all these files are just gonna open in GOM now? And can I mess with how the icons look?
PS: looks like GOM can't handle MP4s though. Tried it and it's complaining about some missing codec again, but then RealPlayer handles MP4s just fine. Guess I'll be juggling both.
hollowmarlin19 said:So I’ve got these two file types, Flash video and AVI video, right? Everything's fine until I try playing those AVI files through RealPlayer. I get the picture, sure, but there's zero sound. Is this some kind of codec issue? Because my Flash video files work perfectly—picture and audio both show up just fine.
I tried messing around in the RealPlayer settings thinking that might fix it, so I went into Preferences - Media types - Manually configure Media Types for RealPlayer and checked the box for AVI Video to make sure it was "assigned" to RealPlayer, but nope, still nothing. No sound. Clearly, that wasn't the fix.
Anyone actually know what the catch is here?
