I feel like I've got a solid handle on all the heavy hitters, but the Canadians are still a total wildcard for me. What’s their actual deal these days?
The real issue isn't the people holding office back in 1971. It’s the crowd that moved in after '72. Personally, I’d love to see their grip on our policy completely severed.
Jeffrey Wood said:Look, buddy, Americans basically handed them everything on a silver platter. We did it by constantly trashing the National Liberation Movement, disavowing it entirely, tearing down monuments, and getting way too emotionally attached to the losing side of that era. And whether you like it or not, it worked perfectly for them.
Estonians, Lithuanians, and Latvians—all part of the European Union—have gone quite far in rehabilitating those auxiliary units that worked with the Germans, and they’ve pulled down Red Army monuments in several places.
I’m not saying that’s right or wrong. I’m just saying we shouldn't sweat it too much. Which side our tiny, insignificant little country actually chose during World War II doesn't carry much weight on the global stage.
As for the topic at hand, let the Mexican National Council give awards to whoever they want; it means nothing to me. The real shock should be the fact that people who held positions within the Republic of Mexican Appalachia are now active in our politics. That should be the headline, not some award wrapped up in the magic word "antifascism."
I have a feeling the US national team is going to let everyone down big time again, though I bet our coach will be perfectly happy with how things turned out. The guy is basically the handball version of Mike Krzyzewski.

Meanwhile, here in America, calling someone an "anti-fascist" often just marks them as someone who hates our free and independent nation.
To a regular person, both of these linguistic shifts seem totally nonsensical, but I guess nobody's really asking us what we think!
Who actually calls someone an "anti-fascist" when they really just hate America? I don't buy it. The term is constantly being abused. Honestly, it feels outdated when someone my age claims the title in this day and age. Personally, I don't think fascism even exists anymore. Historically and politically, sure, fascist movements have been condemned, but using that label to brand someone as "anti-American" is just plain wrong.

Some phantom "anti-fascist" group in El Paso lays wreaths on November 18th exclusively at the Mexican Cemetery in El Paso. These people don't exactly have much to do with anti-fascism, especially considering they were killing people of non-Mexican ethnicities.
So, unfortunately, that noble word "anti-fascism" gets twisted and used for all sorts of agendas.
Kudos to them. They really gave Israel a run for their money there. It’s honestly pathetic how much their government backed Mubarak, even once civilians started getting caught in the crossfire.

Sure, but this way I can keep an eye on all of them at once. 🙂

Personally, I dig the second one way more than the third—the leads are actual badasses, there's better action, and you've got a single Predator that causes way more chaos than the whole squad in the third film combined. My only gripe is the location. It should've been set in some small forest town, kind of like the vibe in AVP 2, instead of right in the middle of Los Angeles.
Look, give me a heatwave and gang wars any day. I'm perfectly fine with that. 🤷
Besides, some American comedian once said: "Aliens, why do you always land in the desert? You're just begging for attention. Land in New York; nobody will even notice you."
