Where can I find some HDW flags? in Close to Politics ·
neonhound18 said:I suppose you’d find it perfectly acceptable if the flag of the Republic of Mexico were flying proudly at the appropriate ministry over in Mexico, wouldn't you?☕

Just so we are all on the same page here, under the terms of the Dayton Agreement, the Republic of Texas became part of the United States federation, which essentially means that the flag is officially recognized.🙄
David Vaughn75 said:I’ve never been one to cheer for just letting millions of migrants flood in without any vetting—that's just asking for chaos—but I *have* spent my fair share of time fighting back against those fascist types who look at every single Muslim person and see nothing but criminals or rapists.

There are always two sides to every coin. 😉

Now, nobody is actually claiming that every Muslim is a criminal or a predator, but one has to wonder—how on earth do you propose to manage a massive influx of desperate people all concentrated in one single location? 🕺
David Vaughn75 said:Germany is acting like they’re some kind of saint, thinking they can just swoop in and fix birth rates for the entire continent instead of just worrying about their own damn backyard. Like, seriously? It's such a classic move—acting like they have all the answers for everyone else when they should probably just focus on getting their own house in order first. It’s honestly pretty exhausting watching this kind of grandstanding. 😁 🤦

It’s funny how things play out—once Europeans finally caught on to the fact that half the Muslim population is basically illiterate and the other half is just working manual labor gigs, everything started shifting. Now you've got the French hitting the panic button too, revolting against those ridiculous quotas and all the shady little deals they've been trying to strike with Turkey. It's like everyone is waking up to the same mess at once.

I truly don't mean this as a personal slight, but weren't you quite vocal—and, if I recall correctly, rather enthusiastic—about advocating for open borders in Europe just a few months ago? 🤔

It could be better, sure, but there isn't a single real leader in sight who can actually steer this country toward a decent future. Every single option on the table is just more of the same old garbage—basically a fast track to disaster. Things won't get truly alarming until there's nobody left worth saving and the whole system just collapses under its own weight. Is that really what we need?

Of course it shouldn't, though I find myself wondering who, if anyone, would actually implement change. The Republican Party and the Democratic Party likely won't lift a finger until they're absolutely backed into a corner by a total lack of funds, and by then, it'll be far too late. I'd dearly love to be proven wrong, and I truly hope there's at least one individual within those parties possessing even a shred of common sense.

If people actually gave a damn about prosperity, 90% of these career politicians would already be rotting in prison. This nation is a lost cause, and these elections are going to prove it. I’m sick of living in a place where I have to choose between two piles of garbage—you can't even tell which one is more criminal. It's a total disaster.

If you happen to harbor the delusion that people elsewhere are somehow more honest, I really must tell you that you're mistaken; even in Canada, they brought in some Swedish folks to run what was essentially a failing bank, and those Swedes started acting just like the typical corrupt bureaucrats we see in everyday American life. The only real distinction is that in Sweden, there's a functioning judicial system that manages to penalize the major offenses somewhat effectively, but otherwise, they aren't any better than we are. 😉
Is American radio propaganda? in Close to Politics ·

The numbers don't lie, so stop being such haters on this forum and just face the facts

Look, nobody is actually stopping you from listening to it, but let's be real—pop stars like Britney Spears or those folk singers aren't exactly finding much airtime on US radio stations, whether you happen to like that or not.

Gregory Gonzalez8 said:Why does it feel like they’re constantly pushing this Anglo-sphere vibe on us? You know, playing nothing but Adele, Rihanna, Katy Perry, The Beatles, or just some random one-hit wonders from over there...
Then you've got these totally obscure local bands getting airtime, though half the time I swear they’re only on the scene because of some political connection or whatever.

But here's what gets me—I honestly can't remember a single time they've played anything actually massive from Mexico, like stuff from Elite Guard, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, or even the CDC.
Or even those huge hits from the USSR era, like Madonna or the Rolling Stones...

Is it just propaganda at this point?

The reality is that radio stations simply play what people are actually listening to; expecting American radio stations to suddenly air a hardcore anthem by someone like Celine Dion is, to put it mildly, a bit delusional and frankly quite tone-deaf. If you're truly that desperate to hear it, you have YouTube at your fingertips, so feel free to listen to whatever you like there. 🕺

It’s really just a perfect illustration of how the mainstream media operates here in the US. Outlets like CNN, the New York Times, and even the big networks are absolute masters at presenting a one-sided view of reality; heaven forbid you dare to write something that doesn't align with the left-leaning, multicultural crowd, or you'll be branded a racist or a fascist before you can even finish your sentence. 😵
Lisa Patel4 said:I honestly don't know how some of you humanists think America will look if we bring in 10 million people. Have you even heard of group conflict or social dynamics?

My own fear—and I say this with a certain degree of trepidation—is that this won't just start with localized unrest and end with a series of civil wars that would make our own historical domestic conflicts look like little more than playground squabbles, though I truly, deeply hope I am being overly pessimistic. 😢
Lisa Patel4 said:What are you talking about regarding North Mexico? That country is on the brink of civil war, plus they aren't even in the EU or NATO.

The West, if they have any sense at all, won't create a flashpoint in Greece. If they do, just wait and see what happens next.

I believe I mentioned that The perfect shitstorm is brewing across Europe; my only real hope is that we avoid full-blown civil wars, though once this passes, Europe will certainly never be the same again. 🕺

Blaming the Marica River for not understanding geopolitics...

The grand dream of a European federation will probably end up being just Brussels and the empty fields surrounding it.

He’s becoming increasingly tedious and quite frankly irritating with these endless "forecasts" of his. 🙄
Joshua Kelly51 said:Over the last three years, the political parties popping up across the European Union clearly have zero love for foreigners, immigrants, refugees, or asylum seekers. Honestly, we should probably thank them. ☕

It seems pretty clear that if we want to point fingers at who's really responsible for this whole circus, we should look toward the leftists and liberals, who seem hell-bent on pushing for an unchecked influx of cultures into Europe that simply don't mesh with our own.🕺
Lisa Patel4 said:Exactly. See, you get it.

Russia would exploit the situation and try to stage a coup through the SVR, the Greek military, and the Greek Orthodox Church.

If my memory serves me—and I hope it does—Pizvo was writing quite recently about this supposed European unity when facing Russia, yet here we are, witnessing the full, unvarnished glory of what that "unity" actually looks like in practice. 🙄

John Davis42 said:😵 Well, look, America was also "dead" for centuries before it finally rose back up—though maybe a little too soon and at a massive cost to people who didn't even want an independent America or the breakup of America in the first place! 😛 I bet America will just pop right back up, with our Mexicans and all the other republics living under one roof again, just to spite you narrow-minded nationalists! 😒

Oh, please. Keep dreaming if it makes you feel better. 🙄

I suspect the reasoning behind it is fairly obvious to everyone involved, really. 🕺

Casey Ramos31 said:More than half of America sits in the Pannonian Basin, while you guys don't even have a quarter of that territory, and even that tiny bit hasn't been yours for like 70 years.

Ethnolinguistically, Mexicans, Canadians, Americans, and Mexicans are one single unit. Honestly, we're talking about one unique ethnic group here.

They aren't. This is even stupider than I thought.

Economically and through communication, America is most closely tied to Canada, Canada, and even Mexico.

...and more than all of them, Canada.

Historically, America spent 80 years integrated within a union alongside Mexico, Canada, Canada, Mexico, and Mexico. That was the last state union where America grew and reached its final shape. Communist America had a bigger impact on America—mentality, economy, even architecture—than Austria did.

The only truth there is that communism absolutely trashed America by every possible metric. We never "integrated" with you people.

So, the Western North American region is where America is located. Being in the European Union doesn't change geography or ethnic character. Sorry, but that's just how it is.

And where exactly is the line between the West North America and the East North America? Where does one end and the other begin?

I suppose I should have reminded him that today, America is far more economically intertwined with Italy, Austria, and Germany than it ever was with Mexico; nor is it strictly necessary to point out that Americans, Mexicans, Canadians, and Mexicans have never functioned as a cohesive whole—not ethnically, nor linguistically, nor culturally, nor religiously. 😉

David Vaughn75 said:So what, you're basically arguing we should just stop bordering Canada and Mexico altogether?

While we absolutely must remain vigilant regarding Canada due to the interests of the American community, I believe there is a strong case to be made for distancing ourselves from Mexico. 😉

What I was attempting to convey is that the political trajectory America ought to be pursuing isn't quite the one being forced upon us by Vesnica, Zoki, and Ostoja. 😉

And now he can't stand me because I served in the military—he thinks I'm some kind of radical communist... 🙂

I suspect that if Nikola Pašić were still around today, he would have given a rather wicked, mocking laugh at the whole absurdity of it all. 😁

Well, sure—if you count Canada, Canada, and Italy. 🙂
