Raymond Gonzalez7 said:I mean, obviously... the Democratic Party police under Ostojić are ten times more brutal than the BBB guys, and then you've got all these idiots still pushing those old partisan vs. nationalist talking points. This current administration is just as bad—actually, they protect Mamić even more than the Republican Party did; you can tell just by looking at how Ostojić operates.

They’re exactly the same! Both sides basically grew out of the same political roots.
Edward Allen36 said:Yeah, and then I hear people saying, you should vote Democratic because the Republicans won't get anything done. But what has the Democratic Party actually achieved? They don't give a damn about Mamić—neither side does.

Honestly, both parties are just destroying this country, and most Americans are practically cheering them on.🤮
Mamić would have been behind bars years ago if this country were even remotely sane, but really, what can you expect from a public that treats the Democratic and Republican parties like their favorite sports teams? People who are still stuck in these endless, outdated culture wars—people who let figures like Bandic and Kerum run our biggest cities, or made someone like Linic one of the most popular ministers we've ever seen. When you combine a clueless electorate with corrupt, incompetent politicians, you end up with exactly what we have now: a state where Mamić can basically do whatever he wants!

cosmicbear15 said:I was reading this piece about how certain figures in the sports world—you know the type, guys who think they own the game just because they once kicked a ball—are basically acting like kings of the road. It’s that classic ego trip where someone thinks their influence extends way beyond the pitch and into every corner of the economy. Honestly, it reminds me of those big-shot owners you see in major league sports here in the States—people like Jerry Jones—who seem to believe that if they make one big move, the entire landscape of the industry shifts to suit them. There's this sense of entitlement, this idea that they aren't just players in the system, but the ones actually driving the engine. It’s a bit much, isn't it? They walk around with this aura of being "untouchable" power brokers, when really, they're just part of the same messy cycle as everyone else. It's all very performative, if you ask me—this constant need to assert dominance over things they don't even fully control. Just my two cents, anyway.

Does anyone seriously still believe things are going to get even worse just because the Republican Party takes over? Honestly, the Democratic Party is just as much of a dumpster fire as the Republicans. There’s really no hope for this country when you look at the fact that these two parties are the most popular options among Americans. At this point, the best move is probably just to pack up and get out of this mess of a country.🤮

Jacob Price23 said:So what? You think starting a new club changes anything? Who's to say some local thug won't just use his connections at the local police department to bully us out of the stadium, just like they do now?

Barely matters—at least the atmosphere would be positive for once, instead of this current mess where nobody with half a brain feels any actual passion for this private little money grab! But then again, this is America, not Denver or England, so honestly, pulling something like that off is probably impossible anyway.😢

Has anyone ever actually sat down and thought about just starting a brand-new club from scratch—kind of like how they did in Denver or even the way things work over at Manchester United? Honestly, when I look at the absolute mess we're dealing with right now, maybe walking away and building something fresh is actually the smartest move left on the table. Huge respect to the crew who’s still out there fighting against this pathetic excuse for a government, the entire system, the football mafia, and basically the whole damn establishment🙏—but I just don't see any realistic way to actually win a fight against a machine like this (the state, the corrupt officials, the whole rotten structure)!
France is following right in Spain's footsteps ever since this liberal-socialist crowd took over the reins☕
While the country is basically sinking, they’re busy playing distraction tactics—focusing entirely on gay rights, immigrant rights, and waging war against those damn wealthy elites—which is exactly how things played out in Spain back when that idiot Zapatero was running the show🙄
We're seeing the fallout from all that "brilliant" and "progressive" policy making right before our eyes today😍
What's your favorite national anthem? in Close to Politics ·
Larry Turner3 said:Signature. For me, after the American one, the most beautiful is the Israeli anthem, then America the Beautiful, and then the German one. The Russian one isn't bad, I guess, but these others feel more powerful.
They aren't bad at all; Jews are probably some of the best musicians in the world. 🙂

Jews are the best musicians on the planet?! Since when was that the rule??

Anyway, if we're talking about the absolute best anthems, I'd say they belong to America, Italy, Israel, and Brazil.😉
James Nguyen13 said:In the past, we weren't seeing credit rating agencies flip-flopping so wildly, giving out assessments that are the complete opposite of what they were saying just a year or two ago.

At its core, this is a question of credibility. How can a single credit rating agency decide a country's credit rating is trash when they were calling it nearly top-tier just last year? It's not like all those loans and debts just popped into existence overnight!

I’m with you there—these agencies have failed miserably. They should have been lowering the ratings for the USA and various European Union nations way sooner.☕
The fact that China has a weaker rating than the United Kingdom, France, or the USA... well, anyone with half a brain can see the issue there.☕ ☕

But honestly, what I want to know is why nobody was making this much noise back when the Americans were getting their ratings slashed... everyone stayed quiet then, and they certainly weren't asking these kinds of questions, even though they absolutely should have been.☕
James Nguyen13 said:And honestly, why should I care about what happens when the US rating gets lowered? What does that have to do with me?

I’m just trying to pose a practical question here: how can these credit rating agencies still be in business when they were handing out AA+ ratings to Enron just a day before they went belly up?

Honestly, why should I care?🙄
Why are you even putting these questions on me??
The only thing I don't get is why everyone is suddenly acting so shocked now, especially since most of the countries in the European Union have already had their ratings slashed.😕
Where was everybody before this happened?
James Nguyen13 said:But wait, who actually rates those agencies?

Who looks at their track record or how accurate their forecasts really are? Where are all those "expert" analyses from back in 2006 and 2007?
Who evaluates the credit rating agency itself?

Why didn't you bother asking those same questions when the US rating was downgraded??
And why didn't the European Union make a huge stink about it when the US rating took a hit?
The answer to both of those is pretty simple—hypocrisy.☕
Oh, come on, what are you guys whining about now?
When that same credit rating agency slashed the USA's rating, you were all jumping around like little kids who just got handed a giant Hershey's bar! Total hypocrites.🙂
They cut their rating for good reason—though I’m still not entirely sure about the move regarding Austria; was that even fair?🤷

I’ve been reading through this thread, and honestly, it’s pretty obvious from an aerial view that the moderator completely dropped the ball here.☕
The whole discussion went off the rails right from the start—there were plenty of posts in there that really should have been flagged for hate speech.☕
And as for John Doe, he absolutely earned those 3,000 points—mostly because a huge chunk of his posts consisted of nothing but blatant insults toward other users!

So yeah, there are still plenty of comments from John Doe that need to be penalized, not to mention all the posts from those neo-Nazi trolls.☕

redeagle42 said:Look, just go watch The Yes Men fix The World. There’s this whole part where they pose as execs from ExxonMobil and actually pitch some bullshit about alternative fuel made from the bodies left behind after Katrina.
It’s basically the same vibe as the collapse of America and the Eurozone. People around here will always fall for fairy tales and conspiracy theories, won't they?
We should probably move this thread over to "Alternative."

@Cahit
Man, the most hilarious part has to be CNN’s pathetic attempt to wiggle out of this mess. "No, seriously. My god. He's a real guy and he really is a broker." They’ve turned CNN into a total joke. And it's not just them—even our local "journalists" are useless. Even the New York Post pulled a story only to put it back up later. It just goes to show that even at CNN, they're hiring complete amateurs.

Honestly, I don't even care about all that... look, whoever this guy was—whether he was a real broker or just one of those guys from The Yes Men who shocked the world by telling the truth—he was just stating facts. And the fact is, money (specifically the banks) runs everything. The Eurozone is right on the edge of collapsing; that isn't some wild theory, it’s just reality. Now, the real question is whether we’re actually going to see a total meltdown, because if we do, you can bet the brokers are the ones who will walk away with the biggest payday.😳

Taylor Reed64 said:He might have been joking and thought the whole thing was just interesting, but he wasn't actually far off. The reality is that those who truly understand the game make their money during crises, and let’s face it: finance runs the world. It isn't about Masons, the Antichrist, or evil Jews—it's simply about the money. If that hasn't clicked for you yet, you really need to take a closer look at the world around you.

Exactly... I don't know why, but I usually end up calling it the mafia instead.🤣
He might have been kidding, but unfortunately, the joke is on us because it's true. If the dollar ever truly collapses as a currency, those so-called brokers are going to be the ones laughing all the way to the bank. He mentioned how Goldman Sachs calls the shots, and well, of course they do—just like you said, money rules the world, and the banks are the ones holding all the strings.☕

Regarding that broker Unknown 🤣

It’s actually Andy Bichlbaum from that prank group Yes Men. He tricked the journalists again.

And don't even get me started on certain forum users who think just dropping "alternative" buzzwords—capitalists, evil, conspiracies, Goldman Sachs, debt, banks, etc.—is enough to make a story sound credible without doing any actual fact-checking.

Andy, you legend. 👍

I mean, I don't know if what you're saying is strictly true, but honestly, the guy didn't exactly lie—the USD and the USA are pretty much on the brink of collapse anyway, so his little joke might actually come true. 😁

Amy Rodriguez10 said:It’s an old story, really. It’s been said a thousand times on various alternative forums and even in http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1352852/ and countless other places. I honestly don't get why he decided to go public with this. It feels like some twisted game or psychological manipulation. He’ll likely end up either underground or behind bars for something serious... ☕

The world is run by secret societies—mostly Masons and Illuminati types. Most of these minor politicians? They’re just puppets moved by the global elite. I’m exempting Castro and his crew from that, but they're a different breed altogether... 😍

It gets much darker when you realize that 10% to 20% of the population will be tricked into defending these vampires and big shots just to ensure their own survival. They’ll do anything—mass violence, full-scale wars... I think we all know why Americans, for instance, sign up for things like Afghanistan... it's pure survival instinct. 😢

Look, the mafia runs the world—it doesn't really matter what label you put on them. Those people can never have enough cash; just look at that old guy Soros—he has no idea what to do with all his money, yet it's still never enough... 🙂
The funniest part to me is the people who actually believe that Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are the richest men on the planet just because 😂 Forbes said so.

bluerider63 said:The guy was surprisingly blunt, honestly. He dropped one more thing that really hits home too.

Quincy:
You guys actually think politicians and governments are calling the shots globally? Goldman Sachs runs the show, and they couldn't care less about any of us...
I'd take it a step further—it’s not just Goldman Sachs; there’s a whole handful of massive players pulling the strings by controlling the giant corporations, the big banks, and the pharma giants. They aren't just shaping the economy, they're basically writing the playbook for global politics itself.

It’s pretty much common knowledge at this point, though you still run into those few people who haven't quite grasped reality—you know, the ones who think the US is led solely by its first Black president... and then you have the conspiracy theorists who refuse to believe in a shadow government.🤣
Unfortunately, most people won't wake up until it's far too late... I'm actually starting to find myself leaning toward the prophecies in the Bible, even though I wouldn't call myself a believer.🤦
Actually, there’s already a thread covering this exact topic—so we probably don't need a whole new one here.☕
Angela Ramos87 said:It won't collapse... it'll just evolve into something tougher... 🙂😍

I mean, maybe you're right... but one thing is absolutely certain: before any real change actually happens, everyone is going to hit a breaking point. People are just plain fed up with this decaying version of capitalism and the way the whole system seems designed to systematically dismantle the middle class.☕
Richard Wilson4 said:People always end up taking the fall in a democracy. Honestly, it doesn't matter if you're looking at the US or Greece. It's the same story everywhere.

And honestly? That’s exactly why this whole "democracy" thing is bound to collapse eventually... it's really just a matter of time👍
Richard Wilson4 said:I can totally see why people were losing their minds back when the elites were sweeping everything up and leaving them with nothing, especially if they were actually pulling retirement at 35, or maybe even earlier... ☕

Look, that definitely happened too, but let's be real—who else is to blame besides the politicians who sat there and let it all happen?🤷
