silvereagle6 was talking about asocial individuals, which raises the question: what exactly does an asocial person have to offer, and to whom?😁 If we go by the literal definition, the actions and intentions of such a person are directed against their own environment and its social norms. Consequently, they stifle their own ability to grow within that community—referring back to her point about humans being inherently social creatures who can only truly find fulfillment through social interaction.

In that case, we call someone asocial because their behavior and internal motivations work against the well-being of those around them, making them socially maladapted. (And certainly, quite dangerous.).

A Christian rock band???

That sounds about as good as non-alcoholic whiskey to me. 😱😱😱

🙂

🤣 yep...every single band member is Christian, singing about faith and spiritual experiences.😁

Regarding the taste—how can you judge something you've never actually tried?🙏

I actually quite like that song title, Awake & Alive...there’s something meaningful about being awake and alive, beyond just being a slogan on a Jehovah's Witness magazine cover.🙂

Is this loud enough to wake them up and drive those stinky spirits away?🙏

A Christian rock band. 😍

Awake and Alive

Awake and Alive

Awake and Alive
And I feel like giving in.
Awake and Alive

I'm Alive Now i know What i believe inside
I'm Alive Now i know What i believe inside.

Forever i will Live for you I'm awake

Are you suggesting that healthy people don't exist, or that those who believe in altruism are actually unwell?

(since we're already leaning into the black-and-white logic—or perhaps a cult-like worldview—of the original post)

though, truth be told, it’s probably for the best if they wake up sooner rather than later—because once the time return arrives, there won't be any more chances.🙂

🤣 Well, look at that—the cheerleader is back!😁

neongardener2 said:Hmm, well, if by "wanting help" you mean sticking to their own specific ways that don't actually fix anything long-term, then sure. But the stuff that would ACTUALLY make a difference? They won't touch it. They just shut it down. I deal with plenty of people like that in my neck of the woods.

A-ha, I hear you... that's exactly what I was thinking.🍿

Now, the real question is, who gets to decide which methods are most effective and appropriate for them? Is it themselves, or someone else?

What I mean is that, essentially, people are afraid of change—even positive change. Most people have this deep-seated need to feel like they are in control rather than being directed by others, whether it's parents, the government, or even the love of their life.

The most important thing is finding the right approach. For example, someone struggling with weight knows they need to eat certain things to be healthy in both body and spirit, but it won't help if someone is shoving those foods in their face every single day and dictating exactly what to eat and what not to eat. In fact, that kind of help can lead to results that are the polar opposite of the intended goal...

Something like that... if you can even make sense of my broken English, lol.🙂

neongardener2 said:I’m ready to wake up. I mean, soul-wise? Souls don't get sick. It’s just the body that breaks down, I guess. I’d love to step up and help the people around me, but you can't really do much for someone who isn't looking for a hand. Not that I'm judging, but yeah.
So, someone above was saying you gotta find your own peace first before you can even think about helping anyone else. Honestly? They're right. It’s true. I mean, if you don't actually like yourself, how are you supposed to love anyone else? It’s not being selfish to prioritize your own mental health and get your own act together before trying to save the world. When you're stuck in that headspace where you hate your own skin, everything just grates on you. Everyone becomes an annoyance, you’ve got zero energy, and you're basically just drifting through life feeling burnt out and aimless. But once you actually accept who you are—once you finally make peace with yourself—you actually have something to offer. You end up giving way more to the people around you because you aren't running on empty. I guess that's just how it works.

But what about the mind?😁 In the whole body-mind-spirit connection, how can the body—or even the mind—be unwell if in spirit everything is perfectly fine? Well... those self-proclaimed spiritualists haven't been able to wrap their heads around that for the last two millennia.🙏

I want to help the people around me, but you just can't help someone who doesn't want it.

How can you be sure they don't want it? Maybe the way they're being "helped" just isn't the right approach for them...

Honestly, this whole thing feels pointless to me...😁

Who says?

Since I registered, that’s never happened to me—it’s never even said Welcome, just "Hey there!"😁

As for the post New thread mentioned above or the post reply, those have always been in English... they were never in American.

Just because something doesn't align with your specific interpretation of reality doesn't mean it's broken.

And here you are, calling for an awakening at ten in the morning... ☕

silverfalcon952 Asks:
Greetings to all. I find myself wondering: how many of you are truly ready to wake up and commit to healing your own soul? Furthermore, are you even aware when the souls around you are suffering, and if so, how do you choose to help them?🙂
Is it by chance some, or perhaps all? Hey there. The world isn't my responsibility... nor is it yours.😁Whether it’s one way or another... those who have been placed in our path to hinder mutual growth can be identified quite easily.

So, what is actually being asked here is wisdom—the ability to recognize those final hurdles and find a way to bypass the first ones entirely.

I wouldn't personally call anyone "sick"—it just feels a bit excessive and out of line to me.

Besides, before you try playing therapist for everyone else, you’ve got to take care of yourself first. Find your own happiness before you start barking orders and trying to fix people. In my experience searching for that peace, I've realized you can't help anyone with just words or techniques if they aren't willing to help themselves. You can't reach people who refuse to be honest with themselves, let alone with you. Big waste of time.

My take is a bit different: I believe that by helping others, you are actually helping yourself at the same time. Isn't that a fundamental spiritual principle we all follow?..

Being self-centered is the easy way out. Anyone can do it, mostly because it requires zero effort and absolutely no level of awareness... nothing at all.

So, I have to ask: what does your idea of 'finding your own happiness' actually look like in practice?
Strength in numbers!!! in Spirituality ·
United against a common enemy (as often happens in extreme circumstances), but talking about any kind of unity in that part of the world feels a bit premature...

In reality, once the political conflict is over and done with... it's entirely possible that certain groups will face even more harassment and be stripped of even more rights.

😳 I know, my bad

I just wanted to clarify that last post...
Why is hate speech against Muslims being tolerated? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I wasn't even referring to that post, but rather this one

The West is always "to blame" for everything, hatred toward us is somehow justified, and we're just "denying them their rights," LOL... blah blah blah, etc.
Why is hate speech against Muslims being tolerated? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Who exactly is being targeted here, and who is being generalized?

Elsewhere in this same thread, Jason Clark7 insists—with his usual aggressive, angry tone—that one should hate certain groups of people, arguing that such hatred is somehow justified (specifically referring to Muslim hatred toward others).

And now he’s starting a thread about hate speech on the local news network...🤣
I'm too polite (old-school manners) in Psychology ·
Or more specifically:

When we talk about culture, we're referring to the entire collection of processes, shifts, and creations born from the material and spiritual efforts of human society... At its core, the fundamental purpose of culture should be to facilitate the preservation, continuity, and advancement of human civilization.

The reason some people, like hollowtrucker77, respond most effectively to the language of force is primarily because they come from environments where there was little to no progress to begin with...

Since our culture is already standing on such shaky ground anyway, it's pretty obvious who is going to "win"... or rather, prevail. I suppose the reality is that they are already in control; everyone else is just painting over the cracks while, until yesterday, they were still extinguishing lights with axes.😁 Honestly, mother, you have my respect.🙏

Which is why one should probably align with the winners quickly... everything cultured is bound to suffer.☕

Though the concept of culture can be defined through various lenses (various sciences and disciplines—anthropology, philosophy, history, ontology, psychology, etc.)

From its Latin roots (cultus—to cultivate or till), the term is mostly, and increasingly, used to denote 'culture of the mind,' in the sense of education and intellectual refinement.

And since that is the only thing separating us from other species (animals 😁), culture (both personal and social) simply cannot be destroyed.

It can only be built upon...

John Jones3 said:I have no idea how anyone gets from that point to the Wikipedia definition of jihad—or how non-Muslims view the term today. Fighting your own internal demons is the biggest battle a person can face—and honestly, winning it is pretty much impossible.

But there isn't anything wrong on Wikipedia... if you look at those religious textbooks and see the extremes they go to just to 'defend' the indefensible, things might start making more sense to you.

Hannah Diaz said:Just an internal struggle... with myself, I guess.👍

That isn't the full story. It’s also not what most people assume when they hear that phrase...

Literally speaking, it refers to putting in the effort to elevate the word of God and Islam. Jihad was ordained so that the commands of the Almighty could be carried out without interference, spreading His faith to all people.

Muslims are encouraged to engage in jihad, which can sometimes mean quite literally: stepping onto the battlefield and sacrificing one's life to uphold the faith.

So, fighting—whether through holy war, military preparation, or supporting fighters—in the name of Islam is simply one way that the desire to exalt the faith is expressed.

And that has been the most common method since the very beginning...
