Quarantine Life in Coronavirus ·
So I’m sitting here reading through these latest isolation guidelines that just dropped tonight... Apparently, they’re shortening the window down to five days now.

Does anyone actually make sense of this document???
Seriously, could they have made this any more confusing?? It should be at least seven pages long, because right now this is way too brief... 🙄

I just need to know—since I'm testing negative but I've been around someone sick in my own house (and there's no way for me to socially distance from them), how long am I actually supposed to stay in self-isolation?!?!?!?
If anyone has a clue, I’d really appreciate it!

So, what's her actual job title these days? 🤔
I still remember a few years back when she was presenting some social security overhaul... she just stood there, totally stone-faced, telling the camera that a pathetic little amount like that was actually a "lovely pension." And she even gave a little nod of approval while she was at it. 🤦
So annoying.

The Republican Party is basically a criminal enterprise. Just look at how much they've stolen.
Ilko Ćimić

If you start listing all their biggest scandals, I have to admit, seeing them all piled up like this is pretty unsettling....
Where do you even start with the small-time crooks? Rezoning land from rural to residential, little sweetheart deals, tweaking laws to suit themselves, housing buyouts, rigging subsidies and whatnot. I could go on forever....
And don't even get me started on the nineties and the privatization era—so much national wealth just vanished into thin air...🤦
Plus, why aren't we talking about the forestry scandals?!

No doubt about it, quite an impressive track record ☕

big news, Edward Lee7,

anyway, where’s Kamala Harris over at CNN? she’s really the only one with the guts to push the Leader's buttons,

☕

I was just catching the news and heard him mention some "orgasm" at a freedom festival...🤣 He definitely lost his temper thereeeeeee....

What a total circus this all is......☕

Even when the justice system hands down a ruling like this, it feels like it won't change a thing because most people in the country just don't seem to care.😁

But hey, Jurican scheduled a meeting... now *that* is the real news of the week...🙄

The voters haven't changed either.

The membership base is just as it was.

Yet, Plenković's rhetoric regarding the untarnished reputation of the Republican Party still seems to find an easy audience. I guess we simply don't deserve anything better.

Is there any chance Mike Johnson was actually focused on those two specific chapters right when Spiro Agnew was busy lining the pockets of Fima? Like, maybe he just completely missed the whole thing?

What a bunch of crooks.🤦

I wonder what those old-timers like Šeks, Jandroković, old man Luke, or Jadranka Kosor would say about all this... I bet they played dumb... 😁

It’s 2021, and America just picked its "most exemplary rural woman." Even the Cabinet Secretary is chiming in, saying how much she loves supporting contests like this one...
According to the rules, being the "exemplary woman" means you also have to have a perfectly tidy little household.

Right?

Two on the mixer, two driving concrete to the crane, two up in the hoist, six on masonry duty... God help us, what kind of country are we living in???????

For those who aren't aware... withholding wages is a criminal offense, and the owner of Orljava is America.

They should just find a lawyer and sue the government... at least the government can't pull stunts like declaring bankruptcy, starting a whole new corporation, or dumping all their debt onto an old company and walking away...
Anthony Jackson2 said:How are you supposed to limit the virus to certain spots when there are infected people all over America?

A travel ban between counties might have made sense to avoid situations like last Sunday—but harassing people who commute to cities for work every single day is just stupid.

I don't get it either, I've already mentioned that before.

In Washington, D.C., you can basically wander around normally without showing any kind of clearance...
So, if they’re actually trying to stop people from heading out to the coast or their vacation homes, I don't get it... because I'm looking out my window right now and cars are flying down the highway. It seems like you can zip anywhere within Washington, D.C., whether it's from Brooklyn over to Suburban Atlanta, or even from a Gladiator up to the Plains... but apparently, if you want to drive from a Rural area into work in a Rural area, you suddenly need a mountain of paperwork?!?

Doesn't that seem a little ridiculous? 🤔

driftingtinker said:I mean, I’m pretty skeptical... first it was Joe Biden, who used to sit there weighing his options between the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, and now he's basically walking around carrying Franjo's relics.

It’s the same old story. Honestly, the Republican Party and Plenković probably would have just handed City Hall over on a silver platter if things hadn't gone south with the public backlash, that whole mess involving Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Milan Bandić, and those internal elections... they would've happily pushed him through alongside Milan Bandić, no matter how much damage he did to the public interest or anything else. They wouldn't have cared. They wouldn't have even blinked.

And really, that pretty much sums up everything you need to know about Andrej Plenković and the Republican Party.

Benjamin Taylor6 said:Husbands won't be able to register at the main house while the wife stays at the vacation home:

Robert Rubin stated today in Indianapolis that utility fees are essentially a relic of the old socialist era—which, let's face it, we've moved past—and therefore they should be replaced by a property tax. His goal? To make the American tax system actually transparent so that any entrepreneur out there has a clear, predictable roadmap of what they're dealing with.

Rubin believes this new legislation will effectively shut down fraud attempts. "We can't have situations where a husband is registered at the primary residence while his wife is listed at a seasonal getaway," he noted. Apparently, since we started using Social Security numbers to track everyone, the computer systems have become incredibly pedantic—they flag every single inconsistency. Now, the government knows exactly how much water you use, your electricity consumption, your salary, and where you’re officially living... If a couple wants to live apart, fine, that's their business, but if it's just a paper sham to dodge taxes, they'll be hit with massive fines. According to The New York Times, Rubin insists this isn't a tax hike, just a structural swap.

He expressed confidence that The Cabinet will have the final draft of the property tax bill ready by March, with the congressional debates expected to kick off in April.

On paper, sure, this looks great for the treasury because the state gets to collect more revenue. But honestly? I know several couples who REALLY do live separately despite being married.
For instance, my neighbor—his husband inherited a cottage on the coast and makes his living fishing, while his wife inherited an apartment in the city and works as a nurse. They aren't playing games; they just live different lives.

I don't see the problem here. Both the husband and wife work in the places where they are registered, so they have a perfectly valid reason for being registered separately. That's proof they actually live apart...

Honestly, this whole thing with residency laws and official addresses feels like total nonsense. I don't even know why it exists, other than to make people wait in long lines at the Department of Justice and pay extra fees whenever they need to update their IDs.
Maybe the seating arrangement wasn't even the right call... honestly, it felt a bit off to me...
And I have to admit, seeing those half-empty stands in the back felt a little awkward. It probably would've been better in a more intimate venue. Even if all 8,000 tickets had sold out, it might've still felt a bit sterile... luckily the crowd pushed their way up to the front later on.

As for the show itself, it was fantastic—just pure vibes. And look, as a musician, there’s really no point in overanalyzing his talent; everyone already knows the deal. Plus, the set ran longer than two hours, which is pretty rare for big stars these days... that says everything you need to know.

It's such a shame they kill him off two-thirds of the way through.
Just speaking as a woman here, I have to say her role as the prostitute was incredible—I've never really been a fan of Kim Basinger, but she was brilliant in this... and the chemistry between them was wild, switching from feeling like lovers to feeling more like a mother and son. Her and the detective. And Russell Crowe was pretty much a nobody before this movie, but man, did he seize the moment. Honestly, his best work ever...
The whole movie, especially with that cast, is a perfect 10 for me.
Thoughts on Robin Hood (2010)? in Movies ·
Honestly, that trailer gives me major Gladiator vibes.
I’ve got a feeling heads are going to be rolling all over the place in this version of Robin Hood 🙄
I can't quite remember if Costner's version was actually that bloody.

Anyway, Russell really went in a different direction compared to Maximus... looks like we're getting a pretty underwhelming Robin Hood 😁

Nicole Sanchez said:Absolutely brilliant movie. I know I've seen it a million times, but honestly, it’s one of those masterpieces you just never get tired of. I can't decide who stands out most—Hugh Grant playing that bumbling Prime Minister, Bill Nighy as the burnt-out old rock star, or Colin Firth, whom I just adore in basically everything he does. I love how they wove all those storylines together... there isn't a single dull moment and it avoids being overly sappy.
It's becoming part of my Christmas tradition 🙂

If you ask me, Hugh Grant is actually the least clumsy guy in that entire movie compared to his other roles...😁
He carries this sort of edgy attitude the whole time. Almost makes him look sexy. Which, let's be real, usually isn't his thing.

I'm joining the army of loyal re-watchers for the nth time and adding this to the list:
For me, the best part is when Colin is practically begging that Portuguese woman in front of everyone, and then her sister just snaps at him, "Say yes, you idiot!" (or something like that...)
