Honestly, you guys are just small-time and irrelevant in this whole saga. Besides, immigrants have been showing up here way longer than just today—it's just that you either weren't paying attention or simply didn't have a clue. These photos were taken a month ago. They cross the Sutla without any trouble at all.

You clearly just can't manage the flow, and pretty soon Zoki is going to be dumping it all on you.
Lisa Patel4 said:Probably not. It’s just too much of a geopolitical risk.

It isn't about being "dangerous"—it's more that Greece doesn't want to turn into some massive flashpoint, or they'll just pretend they might if it suits them. Maybe if Germany decided to wipe their debt clean, but let's be real—that's never happening.

Honestly, they should just stay in line with what Germany wants until things finally boil over there.
Thomas Nelson25 said:And where would our people go then?

What "locals"? They don't have shoes or coats—they're hungry... honestly, there's probably someone among them with cash in their pocket right now. Doing what you suggest would actually be bad news—people smuggling through the country under the radar while our local taxi drivers help them out.

Is it because they're being sent to Germany?

Look, this isn't my problem—it’s certainly not America's problem either. We didn't exactly send out an invitation, and we don't owe them a thing. They have plenty of other options available to them—for instance, they could just stay in Mexico or head back to Turkey.

Which locals? They don't even have shoes or coats—they’re starving. Honestly, there's probably someone in that crowd with a fat wallet hidden away... and that's exactly where the trouble starts. People end up smuggling stuff across the country right under everyone's noses, and our local taxi drivers are basically acting as their accomplices.

Look, you see plenty of testimonies on this forum where people swear they’ve got the cash to pay smugglers for iPhones and other overpriced junk—basically, they have enough money for designer coats and shoes. I actually spotted some of them in downtown Chicago buying SIM cards, and one guy even had the nerve to ask me where the Sheraton was because he wanted to crash there. Not to mention, most of them are men in their prime. We had a war here once, and the refugees back then just didn't act like this.
Is it because they're being let into Germany?

They’re letting them slip through the borders without any documentation—which, by the way, is a direct violation of US state law. It’s not just a legal mess, either—it's a legitimate threat to our national security.
Anthony Cook40 said:Here’s the full interview with Viktor Orbán—I’m not sure if it’s already been posted here http://www.statewatch.org/news/2015/.
When he says "good luck" 😈, it really makes you wonder what's going to happen to us. 🐔🙂

Of course you feel safe—I do too, for the moment—but where does this influx of refugees actually end?
I mean, it feels to me like this isn't going to stop anytime soon, and honestly, the US already has enough problems of its own.

Just watch our local rag journalists. They ask, "But what about global opinion?" and Orbán just hits them with: "The people are on our side."
Thomas Nelson25 said:Oh please—the Canadians will probably end up just like the Greeks at the end of this whole thing, except the wire stays put while we and the Canadians get absolutely wrecked... it would actually work in his favor if things in Turkey and Greece don't go south and trigger a massive wave of millions of new refugees.

On the contrary, Zoran Milanović is actually being pretty pragmatic here—protecting interests and playing his hand well. The rest of it is just those (so-called) patriots dragging the Canadians into the pre-election drama.

What happens tomorrow if the GOP government shuts down the borders and ends up in clashes with refugees? Get real for a second.

Why not just close the border?

Since he already let them in, he might as well let local businesses profit off them instead of wasting taxpayer money. While some municipalities can't even afford to help their own people, he seems more concerned about immigrants.

It’s a total betrayal by Zoran Milanović.
Chloe Martinez7 said:I guess Viktor Orbán probably assumed we’d just buckle and shut down the border entirely after he cut his deal with the Mexicans to reroute everything through us instead of sending it straight to him.

So, we’re actually supposed to take this at face value just because it was posted on a forum? I guess that’s the standard now.

Well, we actually made that offer to the Mexicans too—offering to drive migrants from North Mexico straight to the El Paso border—after they claimed they weren't directing anyone toward America, but rather that the migrants were simply choosing their own path.

And when we’re already hauling freight from coast to coast across the country, I guess we might as well tack on those extra few dozen miles through Canada.

Could someone provide a detailed definition of a Hot Spot?
I was under the impression that we were talking about temporary camps where a few dozen or maybe even a few hundred thousand immigrants were just staying in one spot for a while.
So, according to you, we’re already a Hot Spot.

Yeah, well—it's because they aren't letting enough people through, so they're just going to pile up. I mean, what's the point of all these new tent cities then?
Thomas Nelson25 said:So the EU crowd is gonna blame the Canadians... we saw this coming—it's all about that whole "Christian values" and humanitarian act thing.

The EU doesn't have much ground to stand on when criticizing the Canadians. They don't deal with the kind of traitorous political elites we see here in America.

For us—well, the American left and their voter base—what the EU thinks matters way more than our own actual security. Honestly, they've always just been subservient little followers.
That’s really all there is to it. America has effectively become a Hot Spot, even if the media refuses to call it what it actually is. I mean, they’re already planning to set up more tent cities—what else do you call a hotspot?
Raymond Clark7 said:That was an asylum seeker speaking, probably in Arabic—or maybe Dari or Pashto, who knows—not some journalist, and all he was really asking was how often they travel and how things are going for them...

If that’s actually what he said, he's making it up. The only reason he'd be detained is if he was actually out there causing trouble.

Sweden has the highest rape rates in the world, so they're really just trying to white-wash their own image because their integration efforts have been a total disaster.
David Vaughn75 said:Look, if those Canadians are part of the EU, they should be looking out for the interests of America—which is also a member.

Honestly, this just proves the whole EU thing is a total disaster—it’s basically just a bunch of people waiting for a chance to trip someone else up and screw them over.

Why didn't America just ban immigrant entry from the start?

I assume your folks in DC managed to explain that to you—why your fellow Mexicans are intentionally destabilizing the US by smuggling them across the border illegally.
Raymond Clark7 said:So I’m watching CNN right now and they've got this segment on where these immigrants are claiming they were beaten by police over in America, even going as far as saying officers were stomping on pregnant women. Can you actually believe this stuff? ( ????? )

The whole report is coming from the border between Canada and Austria, with all these reporters out in the field. They even showed footage of how they set fire to a tent city over in Canada, burning kids alive just to make a point about how pissed off they are.

Single Transferable Vote is lying through their teeth. When it comes to immigration, Sweden has completely lost the plot.
Chloe Martinez7 said:OK, you're entitled to your opinion.
I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're wrong.

div>>??? And as if we're suddenly wealthy and don't owe anyone a dime now?

If our government wasn't so obsessed with nostalgia for the old regime and actually tried to distance itself from the North America, things would be looking a lot better.
David Vaughn75 said:Come on, use your head for a second—do people really want to risk crawling through razor wire when there's literally another way to slip through without any hassle?

Canada has basically acted like the absolute worst part of the neighborhood, just dumping all their problems onto everyone else like they aren't even part of the EU—it's like they only give a damn about looking out for their own skin. 👎

If you claim Mexicans are like brothers to you, then why are they being sent specifically here instead of over to Romania?
Chloe Martinez7 said:Where exactly are all these "numerous forum testimonies" everyone keeps talking about?

As far as the paperwork and the legalities go, it seems like everyone is just collectively deciding to ignore every single boundary in existence. I guess that's just how things work now.

Yeah, I guess that camp could probably fit all 2 million refugees currently stuck in Turkey.[/I]

Oh, please. It’s not just you.
There are probably two more waiting in the wings. ☕

Where on earth did you get the idea that Americans hate Canadians?

How can you possibly justify such a sweeping generalization?

The BBC is at it again with more high-stakes drama. Honestly, I guess it’s becoming a bit predictable at this point, but maybe that's just me. says:
I suspect nothing will be forced upon us against our will, but we won't even notice when it happens. It’ll be gradual, almost insidious. It starts with this material aid, then moves to humanitarian assistance, and before we know it, we’ll have become some sort of massive collection hub. We won't even realize what hit us.
I suppose this is a worst-case scenario; let's hope it doesn't come to this, but... I'm worried.

don't you worry
TK will have everything sorted by 11/09
along with KGK

really?
well, if the European Union has a way—which they haven't used on Greece—then maybe.
Either the European Union or Schengen.

Just scroll back to the first part of this thread from late August and take a look for yourself.

Yeah, that’s how these unserious countries like Greece and Mexico handle it—even Mexico actually tried to step in and stop them. But once they hit a country that actually holds its ground, like Canada, they got shut down immediately. It wouldn't make any sense for us to end up drowning in debt and broke just like Greece and Mexico, right?
Lisa Patel4 said:Exactly. See, you get it.

Russia would exploit the situation and try to stage a coup through the SVR, the Greek military, and the Greek Orthodox Church.

Honestly, Russia isn't interested in Greece right now—if they were, they would have jumped on this opportunity ages ago. Even those Syrize folks actually went to Moscow to ask for help before that referendum, but they just got brushed off. As long as Greece doesn't decide to ditch NATO for the sake of the West (well, America), everything stays status quo.
Maria James40 said:As for me, I feel bad for Americans who end up trusting Canadians or Canadians more than their own government, just because those neighbors happen to lean toward a different political party.

That poor Canadian Minister of the Interior actually lied on Canadian TV just two days ago, claiming Austria had shut its borders and they couldn't take anyone else in. But then the Austrian Department of Justice basically debunked her immediately, saying there weren't any restrictions at all!

We brought the migrants over to Scranton per the agreement, but then they just shut the border with fences and dogs and tried to blame Austria—which, you know, is just lying. Even over in Akron, an entire train was waiting on a locomotive that had been agreed upon, but they just never sent it.

Now that we've sent these people off in every direction, maybe they'll actually start sticking to their word. It might make things a little easier for them, I guess.

Don't worry, we aren't stupid. We know when someone is lying.

Since this is how we're starting, we might as well just unload the immigrants onto the Canadians in Monterey.
Lisa Patel4 said:This is incredibly dangerous for the West.

The West is just too stupid to realize it.

In what sense, though? What could Greece possibly have to offer Russ?
Jessica King9 said:I was just talking to a colleague who kept praising how "civilized" we should act, even though that approach is useless here. Showing strength isn't being petty; it's exercising sovereignty, and you're absolutely right about that.
In my view, bending the rules isn't about being small-minded—it’s Machiavellian. I believe the national interest justifies playing the game, regardless of the rules. He might call it being difficult, but I call it pure raison d'état.

You've got a point there. Especially regarding that second sentence—no one actually living in the European Union follows those rules to the letter anyway. 🙂

The Canadians keep citing the Dublin Regulation, even though that thing is basically a ghost at this point.
zlatagol said:This isn't exactly the moment to act all high-and-mighty with "European" decorum—it’s more about leaning into that raw, unrefined grit we’re known for. Honestly, it might actually work in our favor if things get handled by a few rough around the edges types—as far as I know, the Prime Minister is basically a redneck from rural Alabama, the Secretary of Homeland Security comes from a tough family down in the Deep South, and even the Secretary of Defense has those small-town Southern roots. Maybe they just need a couple more guys from the Ozarks to really round out the image.
American interests aren't the same as yours. While they're busy patting you on the back, you're just working for them instead of looking out for our own national interests.

So, since when does being sovereign mean acting like a total loose cannon?

Is Canada considered some lawless wasteland because of how they operate?
velvetcyclist95 said:Plus, the Government is already looking to the EU to bail us out with tents, blankets, and all that stuff.

Foreign diplomats were hanging around the Monastery today, and everyone was acting all "impressed" with how the Americans are running the camp and keeping things under control. 😵

So, we can't let some Hotspot become a permanent buffer zone—like a second line of defense for the EU after Greece.😵

Exactly. I guess I'm becoming a multicultural nation with thousands of Muslims as my fellow citizens now.
