Thanks for the tip! I did a little digging through my old receipts and paperwork, and turns out I’ve still got a full 24-month warranty on this thing, so I’m gonna pack it up and send it back tomorrow. If nothing else, at least I can give it another shot. I just really hope the folks over at Walmart are cool with someone as clueless as me 😁

Up until now, I was running an ATI Radeon HD 4850, and honestly, it was a solid card until I started getting those annoying flickering pixels on my screen after about a year -_- I did some digging and confirmed it’s definitely the card itself causing the headache, not my monitor. Since the glitching is getting worse by the day, I figured it’s finally time to hunt down a new GPU, with a budget of roughly $200 Max. My screen resolution is 1600x900, and most of my time is spent messing around in photoshop, Corel Painter, and stuff like that—basically just digital painting and illustration work.
Any suggestions on what I should grab? And if you can, could you point me toward a shop where I can just walk in like a normal person, pick up the part, pay for it, and head home without dealing with weird quotes, wire transfers, or endless email chains... you know how it is...😁
Man, I tell you... I post on this other forum where the hierarchy is super intense, and us "lower-tier" users basically have to kiss the egos of the "gods" there (pardon my french 😁)... but actual stalking? And right here on this forum too? Luckily, I haven't dealt with that kind of nonsense myself (probably just because I'm not around here all the time), since I mostly just pop in to hunt for info or drop some knowledge when I can, and then I'm out. I'm not here to go looking for besties; I've got plenty of things to do in the real world—something those "stalkers" clearly lack. ☕
Man, you’re like a goldfish—always spotting something new every five minutes...🤣
No way I'm heading out... I've got to drag the pregnant ladies and folks fresh off chemo up Mount Rainier tomorrow morning while our professor stays tucked away in his cozy little bed...
Look, I get where you're coming from, but honestly, those religious undertones are a huge turn-off for me—I probably wouldn't even touch that comic or movie with a ten-foot pole... Sorry, but it just cheapens the whole narrative. It feels like they're trying to preach specific religious dogmas, which is a shame because comics have always managed to keep their own unique identity despite all that stuff going on in the background.
I'm done. If we keep going like this, we might as well just move this entire thread over to the religion subforum...🙄
So, if they ever decide to make another superhero flick, they really should make it about a guy who just gets absolutely crushed by life at every single turn, but he keeps getting back up and refuses to quit, proving that humans can actually rise above whatever fate throws at them.
That would be a legit family drama, not some typical superhero movie... 😉
Man, parents can be something else... Personally, I’ve got almost zero emotional connection left with mine. All those competitions I entered, the straight A's, all the talents everyone else seemed to notice—it meant absolutely nothing to my folks. And honestly? It still doesn't. Now, when we hop on a quick call, it's just the usual "how are you, what's up, did the bills get paid?" and then it's over. They have NO clue about who I actually am, what I do for a living, or the stuff that actually matters to me or the wins I've had in my life... and you know what? I love it that way. They didn't earn a seat at the table in my life. Maybe it's a bit immature, but after years of them refusing to pay attention to me, I'm just returning the favor. Payback is a bitch! 😁

Look, man, there's a massive difference between just showing up and actually sticking with it. If you only went a handful of times... well, no wonder you didn't make any buddies. It’s all about that consistency, you know? Plus, let's be real, most of those meatheads at the local Gold's Gym are total freaks anyway.😳🤣

Unless you make a real change and finally recognize your own potential, nothing is going to get better. If they understand where you're coming from, great—if not, well, honestly, who cares? You can definitely balance working and going to college at the same time; you certainly won't be the only one doing it. Just please, don't drop out of school like I did—though, I suppose I am a bit of a special case, since I personally find university to be the most frustrating institution in the entire country. I have a genuine phobia of college life 😂😂
Fax-O-phobia. I see what you did there... I wonder if Medicare covers that 🤣
How should I put this diplomatically? Hmm... basically, my sister told me to get my act together and stop wasting my life about a year ago. She clearly knows me better than I know myself, and honestly? She was spot on. My first choice for college... man, I don't think I'll ever go back there, but it doesn't even matter. I switched to a different program—something I actually give a damn about—and everything changed. My whole vibe shifted, and suddenly life started happening. I met new people, reconnected with old friends, and stopped being that "black hole" everyone used to say I was. Just find something in life, anything that makes you feel alive, and chase it, no matter how trivial it looks to everyone else. JUST MOVE FORWARD; there's zero point sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. A year ago, I never would've dreamed of writing something like this, but things change. You just have to take that first step. And as for anyone needing a friend, seriously, shoot me a DM and I'll grab you a coffee and listen. I needed someone once, someone listened to me, and now I'm paying it forward. Gosh, look at me 😍
I’ve heard the same thing about it being rough on your skin. Since clindamycin is an antibiotic, using it too much can actually mess with your skin barrier. At least, that's what I've gathered... personally, it didn't really do much for me anyway.
Just caught a glimpse... honestly, it's not even that big of a deal, except for when Katherine Hepburn and Isabelle show up to the party looking like total rebels... you know, with that white hair and those gorgeous, edgy faces... man, wow... 😛 🙂 🙏 🙂 🙂 🙂 :clapping: :clapping: 🙂
