Jason Campbell70 said:Oh, so he drives like a pro in the Second Quarter, but then just messes around on track during the Third Quarter?

He isn't messing around in the Third Quarter...
The truth is, a ton of them were flying off the track in the Third Quarter, whereas the Second Quarter was clean. Those times in the Second Quarter actually show how much better they were compared to the mess in the Third Quarter...
steelmaker83 said:Everyone absolutely botched their fast laps. Sebastian did his first one poorly, way below what the car could actually do. The second guy messed up and retired, while Alonso and Richard both went wide and ended up matching Sebastian's time anyway, just without the off-track excursions.

Given the track conditions, Red Bull was right on the heels of Mercedes from the jump, but their drivers just weren't stepping up.

Oh yeah, that’s exactly why Ferrari spent basically the whole weekend glued to the back of The Bear in the No. 3 spot... because in the Second Quarter, when you're actually pushing to make it into the Third Quarter, Ferrari miraculously sat less than two seconds behind Mercedes in the 3rd and 5th spots. Bottas was the only one even close to those times; everyone else was half a second or more slower than the red cars.
steelmaker83, there’s zero debate here: this car is easily the second fastest on this track.
A different issue is why Kimi completely blew his Third Quarter run, and how Alonso managed to pull such a mediocre lap during the Third Quarter—basically just flying off the track and settling for fourth.

Only a total idiot couldn't see that Ferrari has the second-best car at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Even Alonso made it obvious by saying it himself, yet some people still refuse to get it.😍

It’s scary true that Mercedes-Benz is about 1.5 to 2 seconds faster than them, though they still hold that lead at the front... even if Williams and Red Bull Racing aren't far behind.
Nico Rosberg disagrees, claiming the best move is to start from Pole 🤣

Which geniuses 🤣 are already playing mind games in their pre-race quotes 😁
So now we find out that taking Pole is actually useless and you’re better off starting from second position anyway. 🙏🤣
Jason Campbell70 said:Maestro is a full second faster than that Finnish fraud.

You really think they’re actually going to validate a time set during a scam?🤷
It's totally possible they just wipe Ricco and Alons' last lap times entirely...

On another note, it's pretty wild that Ferrari—who clearly has the pace to be right up there—isn't sitting in P3 or P4. Even weirder? Williams is right on their heels, yet they aren't even close to the front two rows.😕

Now the drivers think their top priority is whining about radio comms.
And if a single drop of rain happens to hit your visor, you better start screaming at them in that pathetic, desperate tone of yours. pitwallu The track is totally flooded, the car is basically unsteerable, and I’m still sitting here wondering what on earth Charlie is waiting for with the SC.

That’s exactly why I said years ago that some overrated driver basically killed F1. 😍
Honestly, whenever I think of Bem, my mind goes straight to screaming. But hey, can't really blame him for that one.
He saw that it worked for Charlie and his crew, so he played it incredibly smart. Real cunning move there.
Formula 1 used to have actual fans...
now it’s just a bunch of kids whining about every little thing while some crazy old guy with a headband tries to stay relevant by catering to them with whatever nonsense pops into his head...
RB/Renault actually winning at Spa???
Honestly, I think there’s a better shot at seeing both Marussia drivers on the podium than that happening...
I wouldn't mind dropping some cash on a Kimi Räikkönen win here.🤣
I know, sounds insane, but I’ve got this gut feeling that someone totally unexpected is going to take the checkered flag...

Is it just me, or are Red Bull Racing and Renault running Magneti Marelli electronics? 😁

Red Bull DNF 🙂

Honestly, I'd take that over getting slapped in the face by everyone running Ferrari or Mercedes engines.🙂

Bernie Ecclestone and the FIA basically kicked Schumacher and Ferrari off their throne just because F1's viewership numbers started tanking. ☕
Just like they took down Vettel and Red Bull, they’re going to take down Hamilton, Rosberg, and Mercedes too. Same story. ☕

Go ahead and lie to yourself all you want. 😁
neonfox65 said:And does anyone else realize how much Michael Diaz4 just keeps talking nonsense and being provocative?

You ever heard that old saying, "mocking the shadow owl for having a big head"?
😁
Jacob White49 said:Took him 13 laps just to deal with all that... total four-way scam!

Just call him Lewis Hamilton then! 😁

Maybe that'll make you feel better. 🤣
darkmarlin16 said:Being faster on the straights doesn't mean the car is better. We’ve seen that play out plenty of times in previous seasons.

What on earth are you talking about?
A car that's faster on the straight is a better car on the straight. Period.☕

If a car is faster on the straight, it's a prestige issue on that exact stretch—which is basically impossible, so clearly, someone's lost their mind... and if that car is faster on the straight without DRS compared to a slower car using DRS, then damn it, DRS doesn't even matter anymore...

Another thing: if a car can pull off a faster lap, you call it a better car because, quite simply, it's better at doing fast laps. If it's out front, it's capable of cranking out consistently faster laps, making it a better car, plain and simple...
But if it's slow on the straights and ends up stuck behind someone with way more top speed after pit stops, then that car is useless for overtaking... you could literally call that the Hulkenberg formula.😁
It's not like we haven't seen a whole bunch of drivers get stuck behind Hulkenberg and realize they don't stand a chance on the straight or in the DRS zone against him.

If you can't see that, you're clueless.
Jacob White49 said:He probably thinks Pirelli thinks the perfect tire life is exactly eleven and a half laps...

🤣🤣🤣
Give me a break. It’s basically eight laps and then you're sliding on a banana peel. 😢
Where on earth did he get "eleven and a half" from? 😂
Jacob White49 said:Alonso was running on 9-lap old Pirelli tires... let me repeat that, Pirelli
Of course he looked fast on the straights. He’d been dragging some leftover junk from that first-lap collision through the DRS zone—which wasn't even fully closed, by the way—so naturally he was slower in the corners. The warning light was blinking too. Between lifting to save fuel and dealing with those KERS battery issues, what are we even talking about here?

So, you're telling me that Ferrari is actually way better than the Mercedes?
A car without KERS that's busy saving fuel is 8.1 miles/h faster than the Mercedes in a straight line. Good grief, it’s terrifying to think how fast they would've been if they hadn't run into issues.😳
