Has anyone else experienced this, and did I, technically, die in that moment?
I used to manipulate my own heart rate, slowing it down so drastically that I truly believed I had passed away; if you don't believe me, just ask any doctor—they've been absolutely floored watching my blood pressure readings during those episodes.

Honestly, you really need to find some kind of commitment or a hobby to sink your teeth into—something that actually gives your life a sense of purpose or even just a bit of necessary distraction.

There’s this actual medical condition out there—it’s called Cotard syndrome—where people genuinely believe they’re already dead despite being perfectly alive. But let's be real here: you don't fit that diagnosis. You aren't suffering from some rare psychological delusion; you're just being an absolute idiot.🎉🎉
Why am I so prone to addiction? in Psychology & Therapy ·
It’s all about brain chemistry at the end of the day, isn't it? There isn't much one can actually do to change the fundamental makeup, though I suppose one could attempt to hack away at the existing chemical balance with something else if they were feeling particularly reckless enough.🤔

Morgan White said:I honestly find it mind-blowing that anyone actually enjoys eating in a group. Especially when people won't stop talking while you're trying to eat.🤦

They've probably just been conditioned to think that's the "proper" way to do it.

Exactly, I couldn't agree more; any kind of conversation during a meal just gets under my skin, and all I want to do is focus on the food and nothing else....

Honestly, eating straight out of a pot just strikes me as revolting, and frankly, it looks incredibly awkward too.🤔
I’m much more comfortable sitting at a table with my food on a proper plate; that’s how things should be when you actually have the chance to relax and enjoy a meal in peace. Speaking of which, I actually find myself loving solo dining—which I suppose makes me an outlier compared to most people? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy socializing plenty, but when I sit down to eat by myself, there's this genuine sense of bliss that just washes over me.🤔

I can't help but wonder what's actually hiding "behind the curtain."

Hmm, in principle, I suppose I’d offer my support—but only if there was some kind of guarantee that you’d come back to post your impressions right after suicide prevention awareness on this topic.🎉
Is it just me, or does anyone else hate people? in Psychology & Therapy ·

Honestly, this whole argument of yours feels a bit too much like some high-minded philosophical lecture to me.🤔🤔

You love your husband and you love your friend; at the end of the day, they're just people, aren't they?🤔

Carl Rivera43, would you have preferred if things were nudged toward being moderately positive?

Half-hearted hatred🤔 If that even makes sense, then I suppose you could argue there's such a thing as half-hearted love, too.🤔

Oh sure, because once we have this "power to the people" setup, everyone will suddenly be an expert on every single thing those bureaucrats in D.C. are up to.🎉

Douglas Gray8 said:The truth is, I don't really grasp the concept of spontaneity or surprises. My life is strictly scheduled. Every night before bed, I map out the next day down to the minute, and I live it exactly that way. If something happens that isn't in the plan, it's basically non-existent to me. Even my fitness routine is regimented; my body runs like a Swiss watch, hitting its peak performance at the exact same time every single day.

Once I finally pull off this coup d'état and implement a command economy here in the States, you can count on being my Secretary of Commerce and Vice President.🎉
Should we give Psychocau Chat another chance? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Carl Rivera43 said:Part of what makes life worth living is having the freedom to actually say what's on your mind. As far as I can tell, this chat has been our digital therapist for over six or seven years now, and honestly, it’s a damn shame it isn't around as much as it used to be.

But let's be real—nobody actually gives a damn. Everyone is just coasting along aimlessly, so you might as well save your breath and stop posting this stuff here.🍿

Come on, Carl Rivera43, quit begging for the chat to be reopened already; where on earth is this "solid foundation" you kept raving about?🙄

I’ve got an idea of my own: let’s allow the chat, but under one condition—make sure Descendant is strictly barred from accessing it...

Wait, are those two even still on speaking terms?

They haven't so much as given each other a polite nod in months.🍿

Bradley Nelson2 said:You can't actually know that, since the police don't release data like that.
Why feel the need to present your own fabrications as facts?

Are you looking for someone to feed off your aggression and escalate things?
You probably just want validation for your irrational views on the right, but they seem to keep contradicting you.
Maybe take the hint before you run into people who will actually prove to you that physical aggressors exist.

Of course nothing is verified. Though, it's probably good you posted this in the psychology subforum. You might find a professional there who can teach you how to tell the difference between mindless prejudice and actual facts.

The police aren't releasing those figures? Then tell me, who exactly is feeding that information to the journalists?

Ronald Fisher3 said:I'm with you. All of this holds up, from Sweden all the way to Canada. I've been watching this play out for years now. The left has gone completely off the deep end. It’s reached a point where they’re finding ways to ignore fundamental biology and dismantle everything that has provided social cohesion until now. No matter what that cohesion was built on.

This isn't some unprecedented phenomenon; history has already seen this happen once, and we are watching it repeat itself right before our eyes.🎉

Following the October Revolution and the Bolsheviks' victory in the civil war, those same radicals set out to fundamentally invert the structure of society. Their goal was to eradicate all religion, dismantle marriage and the family unit, and ensure things like abortion were accessible at every single stage of pregnancy. But then, a certain man stepped forward and essentially said, "Hold on, comrades, we aren't going that far." And of course, that man was Joseph Stalin.🍿🎉

It’s funny how the right is always painted as narrow-minded—when reality suggests the exact opposite? Some people on the left simply cannot stomach a differing opinion.

Bold. 😲

I was just reported by someone using Madonna as their avatar.😁
