I always tell people the same thing when they start complaining about how much things have changed: it’s like how we used to scrub laundry by hand and now we just toss it in a Maytag washer, or how we used to sit around waiting for news and now we’re glued to the TV or scrolling through our phones.
Nobody is out there cruising around in an old Ford Model T or a beat-up Chevy anymore, so honestly................

Michelle Nelson4 said:Honestly, it’s so frustrating. I am just sooooo incredibly exhausted and unmotivated lately. I feel like I have zero drive to do anything at all. I head into the office and try to tackle even the simplest little task, but my mind just wanders everywhere. Before I know it, two hours have vanished and I have absolutely no clue what I actually accomplished during that time... 😢
I had originally planned to work through at least July, take some vacation time, and then maybe take a month of medical leave right before maternity leave kicks in. But honestly? Right now, I feel like calling my boss and telling them I won't be in starting tomorrow! I don't understand why I'm feeling this way. Last time, I actually enjoyed being at work—they practically had to nudge me to get me to stay! It was fine back then...
I just have to force myself to push through May, and maybe part of June, just so my disability benefits aren't such a massive drop from my regular paycheck...

Honestly, I’m right there with you. It feels like this constant, heavy cloud hanging over me—just total, chronic exhaustion. I don't know if it's the stress or just life in general, but I am perpetually wiped out.
I honestly have no clue how I managed to pull that off the first time—like, how did I even function during those 45 days leading up to the deadline? It makes zero sense. I guess I was just running on pure adrenaline or something, because looking back, I don't know how I kept my head above water. Maybe I was just oblivious, who knows? But seriously, it feels like a total mystery to me now.

I’ve spread out even more than I did the first time around. My butt is just massive now.
Seriously, this is just straight-up disrespectful.

So, my doctor at Mayo Clinic actually tried calling me "chubby" the other day. Like, seriously? I specifically asked her not to use nicknames like that.
But she’s just there like, "Oh, come on, why not? You *are* chubby!"
I had to shut it down immediately and tell her, "No, I am not. I'm just pregnant." After that, she finally got the hint—well, until she made that little passive-aggressive comment recently.
So, my mother-in-law just gave me a "subtle" little hint that I've put on some weight!
She actually had the nerve to look right at my stomach and go, "Well, what's this going to turn into? A giant baby?" 😠
It seriously drives me up the wall when I get to the checkout line, especially when I'm dealing with a toddler and a baby in the stroller—everyone suddenly thinks they have some urgent need to push right past me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like, it’s not like I only have one or two things to grab.
WTF?? As if standing there waiting isn't hard enough! Honestly, I might have been a little too loud at the Target today, but my patience was just totally shot with people shoving their way through.
Amanda Martin682 said:What does "another kind of condom" even mean? Like a different Durex brand or something?

Honestly, maybe try looking for a brand that doesn't have spermicide coated on them—you know, something more natural or basic (even sticking with Durex might work if you find the right one).
It took me forever to actually figure out which ones didn't mess me up, and even then, I feel like I have to switch things up every once in a while to stay comfortable.
Amanda Martin682 said:I’ve been panicking for the last few days. I'm also dealing with heavy discharge, though it looks normal and doesn't smell anything unusual.

Now, this uncomfortable sensation started right after sex. We used some condoms we hadn't tried before—could that be the cause?

By the following evening, it started itching a little, then turned into a stinging sensation. It’s gone now, but honestly, I'm terrified.

My gynecologist can't see me until next week, and I feel like I'm going to die from anxiety waiting until then.

Can someone please say something to calm me down?

Here are some words of comfort.
I don't even know where to start with this one, honestly. I was just sitting here thinking about how much everything seems to be spiraling lately, and then this thought hit me—it’s like we’re all just collectively losing our grip on reality, isn't it? Or maybe it's just me. I guess I might be overthinking things, but you can't deny that vibe. It feels like everything is just... slippery. Unstable. Like trying to walk on ice in cheap flip-flops. You think you have a handle on things, and then—bam—you're sliding sideways and wondering what went wrong. Anyway, I'm probably just rambling now. My bad.😠 Either you've got Candida, or you don't. I guess there's really no middle ground when it comes to this stuff, right? It’s like one of those "all or nothing" situations that just leaves you feeling completely off balance. Honestly, dealing with it can be such a massive headache—it feels like everything is constantly fighting against you. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it feels pretty black and white once you start noticing the symptoms. Just one or the other.
Honestly, I used to get so irritated by how condoms would mess with my pH—it was such a constant annoyance. If you’re dealing with that, you really need to hunt down a specific type of condom that actually works for your body instead of just grabbing whatever is on sale at the drugstore. Or, look, once you're done, maybe try using some natural vaginal soothing gels as a way to calm everything down. For instance, you can use Femigel after sex to help prevent any fungal issues—or as my guy so eloquently puts it, to ward off the "fungi."
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
I’ve been dealing with brutal period cramps ever since I got my first one, and I mean absolutely debilitating—the kind where you’re throwing up, you can't sit, you can't lie down, you can't even stand up straight. I basically spend those days just choking down pills until I’m completely wiped out.
When it comes to meds, Ketoral Forte is the only thing that really touches the pain for me, and I usually wash it down with some black coffee; I guess it starts kicking in after about 20 minutes.
So, I was reading this book called "Women's Body, Women's Wisdom"—which, honestly, I’d recommend to every single woman out there—and it mentions that you might be able to manage the pain just by changing what you eat. I’ve actually started trying that. One big thing is cutting out all dairy entirely, because apparently, it triggers certain hormones that cause the uterus to cramp up. I've also started taking magnesium, B vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids.
My last period was almost painless; I only had to take one pill one morning, and that was it.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how things are going.

Sam Walker62 said:I need a 1st birthday cake for my nephew by this FRIDAY! I can't find a single bakery in Washington, D.C. that can pull this off with only three days' notice. I already called Vince, Meli, Kasnar, and the rest—they all require at least a week's lead time, and I didn't even realize I needed to order one until today. Where can I actually get a cake around here? I'm losing my mind.

So, for a crowd of about 220 people, I ended up making 100 pounds of salad, 22 pounds to pass around, and another 22 pounds to take home,
and let me tell you, there isn't exactly much dessert left over for me...

I’m talking about years of dealing with constant pain—everything from my chest down to my knees, just total agony everywhere.
Out of all the painkillers I've tried, nothing works quite like taking some Advil Forte along with a cup of black coffee, no sugar. Honestly, that combo seems to kick in for me in maybe 20 minutes or so.
As for those really intense monthly cramps, my doctor finally sorted that out by putting me on birth control.

Sean Long4 said:Honestly, Anci, I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about the pastries from Em... I haven't actually tried them myself yet, but...

I noticed nobody mentioned anything about a fruit tart or maybe a fruit parfait... personally, I'm just not a chocolate person. (I know, I know, call me crazy... but it's just not my thing.) I really don't see myself ever eating a chocolate cake—whether it's a parfait, a mousse, or whatever else you want to call it. I was leaning more toward something fruity.

Is that really not a common choice? Also, just for the record, there is absolutely no way I'd want anything made with margarine... gross.

I had a vanilla parfait with fruit inside😍

Those cookies from the local bakery in Columbus (Bon Pro) are absolutely insane!
Seriously, every single guest kept raving about them—everyone I told was basically begging for the recipe!
As for that cake from Tom & Jerry's? It's just... fine. Totally standard. Nothing special at all, I guess.

amberotter28, seriously, that cake is absolutely stunning!!!!!!!
Chloe Hayes51 - look, you really need to lock in your date early. if they get slammed with orders, they might just turn you away. I mean, I picked out my cake like two or three months ahead of time, though maybe I was just being extra paranoid about it

brightotter25,
I didn't actually grab the cake from Emma.
It wasn't exactly a freezing gale or anything, just something really similar (honestly, I can't even remember the name right now)

Definitely kept things light...
We just grabbed some parfait—chocolate and vanilla with fruit—and something like an iced coffee slushie.

I'm thinking about doing the outside of the cake with marzipan, you know, that creamy, off-white color.

I’m down for now, but honestly, I might still change my mind later on🙂

I ended up picking everything up at Whole Foods for a crowd of about 250 people $433
