Man, whatever. For that price, you could probably buy a whole soul.

I don't think he meant you actually have to buy the newest stuff right now. He was just saying that once the next generation hits the shelves, the prices on the older models are going to drop, making them way more affordable 😉

Plus, you could always try what Timothy Kim60 suggested above. Just pick out a specific bin, call the store a day or two ahead to have them get everything organized, and then swing by to grab it all at once.
If you're really in a rush, that's your best bet.

If you’ve got a budget of $1000, I can get my buddies over here to put together something much more solid for you. Just let me know—are you paying with a card or cash? And are you local to the Washington, D.C. area?

It’s a bit pricey, honestly. It's packed with all these different modes, but I really wonder if you even need half of that stuff just for gaming.
If I were in your shoes, for that $933 I’d probably just grab a 27'' Samsung S27C350H

New trailer just dropped! ‘Amityville: The Awakening’ Trailer
The cast of Amityville: The Awakening includes Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Spectacular Now), Taylor Spreitler (Melissa & Joey), and Thomas Mann (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), among others.

Can we change the thread title to "Amityville: The Awakening"?

I think I last saw this maybe ten years ago, if my memory serves me right. Honestly? It’s a solid flick. It’s got just the right amount of grit and morbidity to keep things interesting.
I’ve always had a soft spot for that whole dark Victorian/Gothic vibe—it hits the same way American dark noir does.
My only real gripe is how stupidly they handled the end when Inspector Abberline dies...
Used PC builds: What are they worth? in Desktops ·

It would be kind of like that scenario with the i7-2600K plus whatever motherboard model I can't quite remember right now—it’d probably end up being about the same. $400 Or however much? 😁
I have no idea what happened with that package. I'm wondering if it just got sent back to the seller.

Honestly, this used build with the Intel Core i5 is a pretty solid deal. I just didn't realize the price had dropped that much.
I picked mine up back in 2012. $633.

Honestly, Razer’s drivers are such a massive headache 😁

Wait, how can you say $33 is more exotic if it's just some remote outskirts? 😁 You know that means the owner is probably digging a deeper hole for themselves, right? 😬

I’ve always just been able to set everything up on my computers for free. Whether it was AV, Winse, random stuff I found, cleaning out malware, or just some other junk software.
i5 vs. FX 83xx: What are your thoughts? in Desktops ·
Look, I’m a hardcore gamer through and through, so I'm looking at this strictly from that point of view 😁
With them, I’ve always felt pretty confident they won't overheat on me. I remember my old Celeron used to crank up to 100°C without even breaking a sweat 😁

Intel, hands down.

That Western Digital one in the lineup is a solid choice. Their warranty is pretty reliable, and honestly, they’re high-quality drives.
If you can swing an extra ten bucks or so, you could probably grab a drive with double the capacity, which is way more bang for your buck in the long run. But hey, if money is tight right now, maybe just hang tight until you've saved up enough?

Do you think that power supply can actually handle that GPU? Honestly, seeing "80+ Edition" makes me a little skeptical.
Zachary Wood13 said:Just tell me which one is better. Like I said, I'm not exactly an expert or anything, so what's wrong with my current setup??

Honestly, your graphics card is just too weak. You could definitely find something way more powerful for the budget you're working with.
Also, you don't really need a motherboard that supports dual GPUs (Crossfire) if you aren't planning on running two cards. It’s basically just extra money spent on a feature you won't even use.
It doesn't really matter, just let me know what kind of budget we're working with and you'll get much better suggestions.

Timothy Kim60 said:Used gear? Sure. But I don't see brand new NVIDIA GTX 780 cards dropping by hundreds of bucks anytime soon. It’ll probably be some NVIDIA GTX 800 series card that actually ends up being the smart buy.

Probably an NVIDIA GTX 860.
I'm with you on the pricing, though. The 780 might get cheaper, but it won't be a massive steal.
There's always going to be those wannabe trend-following gamers who just rush out to grab the 800 series the second it hits shelves, so sales will definitely stay steady.

What do you mean he doesn't? What he's claiming honestly has nothing to do with tracking who's stalking you.

For me, it’s like Current Activity doesn't even exist since I always Use Invisible moda.

Yeah, unfortunately. Personally, I’d love to see who’s checking out my profile—and that’s got nothing to do with Facebook. Certain plugins would be incredibly useful. But like I said, the people running this place either don't know how, don't care, or are just living in the 90s. Probably a mix of all three.

Just because people (or the forum admins) aren't obsessed Facebook fanboys like kids are these days doesn't mean they're outdated.

A forum is supposed to be a place where anonymity is respected. Honestly, if someone is stalking me, I couldn't care less.

Taylor Cook63 said:So they added this useless "Facebook" like button. 🙄

Honestly, this forum is pretty terrible from a technical standpoint. I have no idea which page crashes so often, and don't even get me started on that 408 error. They haven't fixed the color issues, half the stuff isn't even translated from English, (...) it just looks bad. The only reason this place is still alive is because of the loyal users.

Maybe seeing who views my profile is asking too much, fine, but eventually, people would realize that someone glancing now and then isn't some creep, whereas someone constantly lurking might actually have motives—maybe even romantic ones.

In the end, maybe it would even lead to more connections, friendships, or relationships, or at least more DMs being sent. 🤷

And I don't see anything wrong with that. 😉

The silver lining is that this option only exists on this University of Florida PDF thing.

The biggest issue with this forum is that the server stability is about as reliable as a broken lawnmower, and the admins don't seem to have the drive to fix it.

If someone has a crush on someone else or just wants to meet them, they usually just reach out and start talking. That's how we old-schoolers used to do things, without all the Facebook nonsense and other teenage drama. ☕

Man, one day these kids won't even know what the weather is like outside without checking Facebook first...
