Christopher Lambert in Movies ·
Watched "Fortress 2" yesterday. Honestly? It was awful... just plain bad.
What makes it even harder to swallow is that even with Pam Grier and Christopher Lambert on screen, they couldn't save this mess or make it even remotely decent.
I have no idea what happened to him. I still remember when he was actually great in Highlander.

Christopher Lambert (Manhasset, March 29, 1957 – ) is an American actor and producer

His father was a UN diplomat, so the family had to pack up and move to Switzerland when Christopher was just two years old. He grew up attending boarding schools in Geneva, and by the time he was twelve, he already knew he wanted to be an actor. Later on, Lambert spent two years studying at a prestigious conservatory in Paris.
He shot to global stardom with "Highlander," though his fame eventually started to fade out...

Look, I'm a huge FC Barcelona fan, but honestly? I think Porto is taking the title this year...

Ethan Perez97 said:I wouldn't go along with that. Take sixth sense, The Others, descent, Halloween remake, or even the ring... those are just some solid recent horror flicks if you ask me.

Look, sixth sense and mysterious sign are great movies for sure, but the first one leans more toward a psychological thriller, and the second is definitely a drama...

For people growing up in the 80s, you had these totally bizarre flicks like Brain Damage, Basket Case, or It's Alive... But nowadays? Everything just boils down to teenagers, blood, sex, violence, guts, slaughter, slashers, and endless sequels to stuff that's already popular. 👎

There’s way too little nudity in horror movies these days... 👎

What’s the real vibe shift between modern horror and the old school stuff? Anyone else feel like there's been a massive global change in what movies focus on compared to back in the day?

Honestly, in the last 15-20 years, we haven't seen a single decent horror movie...

Grandpa didn't say much about how things were right after the war, all I know is they stripped him of everything he owned, so he actually sank his own boat himself and just swam back just to make sure those thieves didn't get their hands on it.

Now I bet Split555 and those types will claim he'd rather sink a boat than hand anything over to the people... 😬

And lately, churches and other spots have been their go-to targets again... 🙂

Watched it yesterday with my girl at the theater...
We were hanging out in Indianapolis, just killing time from about 5 until 8, when my buddy swung by to pick us up after she finally wrapped up her exam.
I talked her into catching a movie...
It was just us and maybe 3 or 4 families with kids...
Even though it was only Tuesday around 6 PM...
It was actually pretty good. Fun movie, but super short—only about 70 minutes.
It’s definitely not some high-brow masterpiece, but it's worth a watch...
Good if you just want to zone out for a bit...

By the way, Ivankovo has nearly 9,000 people. And Vrpolj is bigger than that. Not so sure about Tovarnik.

Yeah, back in the day Ivankovo was more like 4,000 and Tovarnik was maybe 2,000...
But even 10,000 feels like a stretch...
goldenpuma10 said:Who’s actually saying the EU will still exist in 50 years?

Oh, they will. It’ll basically just be a carbon copy of the USA—for better or worse.
The average person will end up being this mix of Arab and Chinese heritage. You'll have about 50% atheists, a massive Muslim minority at 35%, and you're looking at roughly 30% gay people and 50% bisexual folks.
White Christians will probably drop down to maybe 10-15%, and half of those will be over 60.

In a small town like Des Moines, you've got two main shops on the high street: one called Shanghai and the other Hong Kong. 🙂 A Chinese baby was just born there recently, too. 😛 But honestly, blaming Chinese people for smuggling makes zero sense when 90% of the local boutiques are trying to offload cheap Chinese textiles on us—stuff imported through some loophole, bought in Arizona, and trucked straight into the Midwest. At least the Chinese shop sells me stuff for $17, unlike the domestic retailers who charge $50 for the exact same crap and then act superior...

You've got a point there. I once bought sneakers at a legit shop for $133, and the damn things fell apart in two months...
But the ones for 16 miles I got from Arizona? They've lasted almost a full year already...
I was actually just about to start a thread on this, but someone beat me to it...
I’ve seen this Cult classic film at least ten times now. It’s the ultimate movie for hanging out with the guys—those jokes just stick with you forever, especially the part with Lot Dog 🙏 🙏 🙏

Explain yourself...
In Italy, there’s an official count of 115,000 Chinese people living there, with 20,000 of them packed into New York City Chinatown.
Down in the city of Prato, the Chinese community has basically bought up the entire textile industry.
They use rock-bottom prices, smuggling, and shady business deals to push out the local shopkeepers... 👎

Slowly but surely, Chinese people are taking over the American market too.
My neck of the woods in the Midwest is one of the poorest areas in the US, still feeling the scars of old conflicts. There isn't much competition here, but prices stay high.
Lately, though, things have been getting weird...
Believe it or not:
I’ve personally spotted Chinese stores in:El Paso,Vinkovci,Vrpolj, Tovarnik, Ivankov, Županja—those are just the ones I saw while driving through...
Places like Vrpolj, Tovarnik, and Ivankov aren't even cities, they're tiny villages, all under 3,000 people...
If that's the case, I can only imagine how many Chinese people are living in the big cities... 👎

The Muslim invasion of Europe is starting to face some serious competition... 👎
Talk about nerve. China just sent a formal protest over to Italy demanding an explanation... 😲
So, there was this huge mess and a massive brawl breaking out in New York City because some Chinese woman decided to slap a cop right after getting hit with a ticket.
Then, about 300 Chinese people swarmed the scene to back her up once she was taken into custody, and honestly, plenty of them were waving Chinese flags while it all went down...

It’s been forever since I checked out that spot. Like, ages. What's the damage on price?

Maybe I'll just grab it through the forum instead. 🙂

I don't know, man. The real headache is that it's on a cassette. If it were on a DVD or even some old DIV-X, I'd just burn it and mail it over. No biggie at all...
