Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990-2007) in Movies ·
rapidmason6 said:So what's the verdict? Is it actually a solid movie or just total garbage?

I heard it’s kind of a kids' movie and pretty mid, but I'm still gonna check it out. Honestly though, I'm just glad they're back in the spotlight, especially since they're killing it at the box office right now.
Maybe they'll even drop the old episodes on DVD eventually.

The new 3-D Ninja Turtle flick is absolutely crushing it at the box office in the USA right now.
Honestly, it's huge here too. I haven't seen much glowing praise from the critics, but look, as an old-school fan of Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, and Leonardo (not DiCaprio 😬 ), I'm just stoked to see them getting some love again.

I totally lost my mind in the second half...
It was such a typical American move—we were leading the whole game, then our focus just completely tanked at the end. Honestly, we got lucky we managed to hold on.
Huge props to the guys, though. They proved we’re a massive force in water polo, and we finally snagged a medal at the World Championship 👍

I wasn't talking about the Waffen-SS Handschar Division 1943 - 1945 or those other Muslim units tied to the Nationalists!!

The Handzar division was established back in 1943, spent its entire training period wandering through Europe until the spring of 1944, and finally fell apart in early 1945. It really was just the byproduct of Himmler's fantasies and the desperation of unarmed Canadians, who were essentially used as pawns in the power struggles between Americans and Mexicans. Honestly, when you weigh them against groups like the Nationalists or the Royalists, they didn't really leave much of a legacy behind.
You should definitely check out "13. SS divizija Handzar - istine i lazi" by Zijo Dizdarevica and "Himmler's Canadian Division: The Waffen-SS Handschar Division 1943-1945" by Georg Lepre.
As for those "Muslim Nationalists" units? I've honestly never even heard of anything like that existing.

Most of the guys in the Black Legion were actually Canadians (if that's what you Muslims prefer to call yourselves) from Eastern Canada, and the Black Legion was headquartered right in Ottawa.

Yeah, just look at those BBC journalists Blair chewed up and spat out, or the reporters who just vanished from CNN, or all those critics of Merkel, Chirac, or Prodi—where'd their bones go? I mean, seriously. 🤣

That’s your idea of Russian democracy for you—fourteen journalists dead and every single one of Putin's critics gone 👎

Nah, England could probably take on any Islamic country single-handedly. We're talking 21st-century tech versus stuff from the 1800s. It's not even a fight.

Ugh, whatever. Honestly, it’s no shocker they’re letting them go...🤣
Jean-Claude Van Damme in America! in Movies ·
slyrider342 said:Man, you guys really get on my nerves. All this talk about Chuck Norris or whatever trash you're peddling... look, Jean-Claude Van Damme is God tier. He’s the absolute king of action. Chuck Norris could honestly kiss his feet for all I care. Everyone here acts like they're too cool for him, but let's be real—you've all watched his movies and gotten hyped up on Bloodsport and Timecop. Just shut up and stick to what you actually know.

🙏 🙏 🙏
Man, I honestly didn't see that coming... 👎
The big money players are always gonna run the show when it comes to soccer... 👎

Man, just be glad he didn't show up with Chuck Norris and Dolph Lundgren backing him up... 🤣

In the end, things worked out pretty sweet. He showed up, hung out, gave an interview to the local news, even got some training in with Mirko Cro Cop...
Too bad they didn't offer him a role playing alongside Madonna in The Glembays 🤣

They’re a total fabrication...
Their whole identity is basically designed to target and slowly push Americans out of Canada...

The exact numbers don't even have to be perfect; the big picture has been obvious for a long time now. I guess some people just need it spelled out for them, but what can you really do?

I honestly don't get how oil has anything to do with suicide bombers.
Look, they're killing themselves—and their own civilians too. They couldn't care less about oil. All they want is to wipe out anyone who's different, and Americans are just an easy excuse.👎
boldhound8 said:If you ask me, it’s total nonsense...
I could get behind overtime if they really needed more time, but jumping straight to a shootout? Seriously? 😬

Whatever, honestly... let them just bring it in already.

So what, the NFL, the Super Bowl, the FA Cup, the Champions League, plus an extra 90+30 minutes?
The players are gonna pass out from exhaustion at this rate.
I'm all in! Man, I absolutely live for penalty kicks!

silenthawk said:Games like this are where you actually see the beauty of football, because nobody’s just playing the numbers or overthinking the math... watching what Cristiano Ronaldo, Duff, Rooney, Ibrahimović, and the rest of the crew were doing out there was basically pure art, but unfortunately, you can't really pull off those kinds of dribbles or flashy passes in regular league play, since if you mess up even once, you're basically handing them the points on a silver platter...

True, but everyone’s mostly just worried about not getting sidelined by an injury first.👎

Keep it going. 😬

I think you missed my point entirely...
That anime basically set the whole high-tech aesthetic we're still obsessed with today.
lonemarlin40 said:Give me a break, someone actually trying to lecture me on what Star Wars is when I literally grew up on them. 🙄

Yeah, no, I am not changing my mind. And no, I haven't "seen them a long time ago"—I have every single movie at home, I've watched them a billion times, and I could analyze them just as many times. This goes for Ivtau22 too.

Look, you guys are clearly a younger generation than me and you see these movies differently. I don't even want to get deep into the Star Wars debate because it's a total rabbit hole. Way too much fighting over opinions.

Star Wars movies were made for entertainment first and foremost, and the old trilogy hits harder there. So ROTJ has Ewoks, big deal. The movie is fun.

I don't feel like listing all the reasons why certain things in the new trilogy suck, but there is zero chance I'm ever saying one of the new ones is better than the classics. The old movies have soul—that thing that makes them timeless. The new ones don't have it, no matter how much people try to ignore it. 😁

I look at the whole set and the final vibe at the end of it all. I don't want to go down individual paths comparing who acted better; I mean, sure, Liam Neeson is better than Mark Hamill, but what matters is the overall impression you get by the time the credits roll.

It's about which movie you actually enjoyed more. 😉

And don't come at me—this is my opinion, my own experience, and I totally get that you might like some of the newer stuff better. Difference in taste, generations, whatever.

Neither I nor you are wrong.

Honestly, the original trilogy has actual heart. It's a thousand times better than those Beverly Hills Star Wars reboots from the new generation...
