I should probably mention that you could actually end up with a fine if they manage to pin your identity down using your gym membership card, though the paperwork would need to be a bit more substantial than just a scrap of paper with some numbers scribbled on it.👍
For identity verification purposes, they aren't strictly limited to a driver's license; almost any valid ID will do. As for concerns about fraud, well, one could easily manipulate a state-issued ID just as easily. Ultimately, any complaint alleging systemic manipulation in that regard is essentially dead on arrival.👍
No need for apologies; I took your comment as a joke, though I still felt the need to clarify the actual situation—something those on the outside looking in rarely grasp.👍

Is it just me, or is this actually happening? If it isn't, what’s the deal—is it because of Bill Clinton’s trial, or are they just trying to look "busy" since they announced that strike? Or maybe something else entirely?
Look, I’m not being cynical here. Honestly, I want them to get better pay, and I’d rather see more beat cops on the streets instead of a bunch of desk jockeys at the FBI, but when I see patrols out of nowhere like this, it makes me wonder where all those vehicles usually hang out.
Unfortunately, there haven't been any new patrols. The headcount remains identical, and there hasn't been any sudden "migration" of desk officers out onto the pavement.👍

As far as overtime goes, you're quite mistaken. In our line of work, they'll throw overtime hours at us whenever they can find an excuse. For instance, I have tomorrow off even though my shift is scheduled; I've racked up enough overtime that they're forced to clear it by the end of the month, otherwise they'd just be paying it out.👍
I ended up getting a warning—with an apology, mind you—after walking them through a misunderstanding on the Politics subreddit. To top it off, one of the admins actually suspected I was some kind of bot account, though we cleared that up via PM after I offered an apology as well. Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is.🤷
Since I spend a fair amount of my time reading Alternative, I feel it’s high time to give this Moderator some credit—it’s well-deserved, if not overdue. I haven't really noticed them jumping into the thick of discussions much; their role seems mostly limited to issuing warnings (usually in the off-topic sections), and even then, they tend to exercise a massive amount of patience before stepping in (on both sides of the aisle). Regardless: 👍👍👍👍👍
Honestly, you’re not going to bag much of anything with a 9mm handgun. As for the permit situation, you can find a wealth of information at this link, but if any specific details remain fuzzy, I'd suggest just giving the Department of Administration at your local police precinct a call.👍
They aren't allowed to do that, and you certainly have the right to report them. If you'd prefer to handle this in person, you could head down to the corporate headquarters or even the Department of Education—though, if you're looking to avoid an awkward face-to-face encounter, maybe skip the local branch. Alternatively, you can always send an email. Just a heads-up: if you choose to remain anonymous, don't expect a formal reply, but rest assured they will still investigate the matter regardless.👍
It’s honestly a bit pointless to speculate on what his "interest" actually entailed when we don't have the exact wording of the initial application or the specific grounds for the rejection.🤷

The reality is that this thread was framed as a troll post from the jump, given that it’s been chewed over a billion times already. Honestly, I’m not sure what kind of answers you were actually expecting here.🤷
