It’s possible people here might not recognize the term HRT, since most folks around here just call it hormone replacement therapy or maybe talk about it in relation to MLS...
It doesn't necessarily mean anything scary. Fibroids can grow incredibly fast too. I actually had a similar situation in my family, and everything turned out fine—though it did end with a hysterectomy. It’s really not the end of the world, and things are all good now. The main thing is that it isn't malignant, and even if it were, you caught it early enough.
Throw in some L-carnitine, though that only actually works if you're hitting the gym hard. And then there's Xenical, which is basically just a recipe for disaster if you don't enjoy dealing with constant diarrhea 😁
Anyway, holding your breath while you're working out is a huge no-no. Any decent fitness instructor or aerobics coach is going to warn you about that immediately. I mean, how can you even get through a session if you aren't breathing? You really have to make a conscious effort to focus on your breath if it doesn't just happen naturally. In fact, one of the core pillars of Pilates is proper breathing during every movement.
If someone actually has the willpower and puts in the work—plus has a basic understanding of exercise and a big mirror at home—they can definitely try it on their own. Of course, some moves are pretty intense, so you should take things slow and stick to the fundamentals (like, pain isn't a good thing when you're stretching; that's just a sign you've gone too far).
Honestly, a lot of what gets marketed as "Pilates classes" has absolutely nothing to do with the actual Pilates concept. So, signing up for a class isn't always the magic fix, even if it does help force you into a regular routine.
It's not like I could master every single move (and honestly, I still can't). But, given enough time, 🙂 I'll get there... I don't do Pilates just to look a certain way; I combine it with other exercises to help my spine, and it definitely makes a difference...
Either way, I'm really rooting for her and hoping everything turns out okay. It’s actually super common at her age to deal with something like a fibroid, which is almost always benign...
You can basically just "walk in and buy them." But honestly... I'm not sure how smart that really is. If you have some underlying eye issue you aren't even aware of, wearing contacts could actually make things a lot worse.
Personally, I felt much better having my aunt—who's an ophthalmologist—give my eyes a quick once-over before I picked up my prescription lenses. Your eyes are precious, after all 🙂 It’s really not that big of a deal, either. You can just swing by a decent local optometrist, it only takes a few minutes, and it won't break the bank. Plus, you'll get professional advice on how to handle the lenses, how to clean them properly, and all those little details...
I’ve never been much of a fan of fruit yogurts. To be honest, I don't really go for the plain ones either—they just aren't my thing.
Plus, most of those fruit varieties are absolutely loaded with sugar. If you actually check the label for the ingredients and calorie count, it's pretty eye-opening...
I’ve always had a bit of a bone to pick with the term "spiritual intelligence"—it just feels so clunky to me. But if you look at the different types of metacognition—which used to be categorized as seven or nine types, though some modern theories suggest even more—you have things like intrapersonal and interpersonal metacognition. I suppose you could frame that first one as being part of spirituality, though personally, I think it covers so much more ground than that...
