By the way, those two jacked villains he coolly mows down at the end? They’re actual bodybuilders, just like Arnie—it's well known. The director wanted someone with enough muscle to actually stand a chance against Arnie, so Arnold himself suggested those two and a few others, but they were the ones who actually nailed the audition.
I haven't touched a cigarette since January 27, 2002.
Until a few months ago, I was still tracking my days and months smoke-free, but now I've even stopped obsessing over the count. I'll admit, the urge hits me occasionally, but it’s all about willpower. Shortly after quitting, I started working out—hitting the gym regularly for about two years now. It really helped. My advice to anyone who has quit or is planning to: start exercising. You can do it at home—push-ups, sit-ups, just stay consistent. Aim for 40 minutes a day if you can, and definitely get some weights. You can start small with 3 or 5 kg sets; they aren't expensive and you can find them starting at $20. Once you're ready, join a fitness center. Lately, I've been alternating—one month at the gym, one month at home. Honestly, the exercise played a huge part in strengthening my willpower to stay smoke-free, so give it a shot.
Since quitting, I feel like a new person. One of the first things I noticed right after I quit was the taste of food. I don't know if it's just me, but everything seems to have a different, better flavor now. Plus, there's no morning coughing fits, and you just generally feel better. Don't give up. That craving can pop up even years later, but hang in there—it'll pass.
When I quit, I told myself I’d just take it one day at a time. Every time a craving hit, I just grit my teeth and pushed through. I told myself, "Get over it. Don't be a wimp. Don't let some pathetic addiction run your life."
So just hang in there. For me, the first three months were the toughest, then it got a lot easier.
I installed Windows with integrated SP2 tonight and it’s running fine. It's way too early for a full review, but some programs definitely feel snappier than usual.😲 Interestingly enough, I haven't run into any glitches yet.🙄
But then I tried installing SP2 on my cousin's PC. Everything seemed okay—installed Opera, hopped online, opened the browser—and suddenly the screen just dies. Black and white stripes everywhere and the whole system freezes. I was like, "What the hell?" I rebooted, but as soon as I connected to the internet to browse, it happened again. This time it was green and white stripes. Total nightmare. I ended up wiping everything and re-imaging it with a fresh Windows build with SP1, and that works perfectly.
Now I'm torn on whether I should set her up with the same thing I'm using or just leave it alone. I think I'll just wait and see how things hold up on my end first.
The way he lined up those bodies. What I actually love about the movie is how John Matrix handles his kills—cold-blooded, always dropping a joke right before or after someone bites it.

That’s not what I meant. Most modern action movies feel pretty soft compared to the stuff we got in the 80s.🙂
I want to see a movie where Arnie snaps someone's neck or spine in one move and then just moves on. Nowadays, after an action "hero" kills someone, there's this ten-minute monologue about how they did it, all while trying to stay politically correct. I won't even go there. That's probably what bugs me the most.
Personally, I'm looking forward to this movie. Aliens is one of my all-time favorites (watched it at least 50 times), and the first Predator is one of Schwarzenegger's best (seen it at least 20 times).
I played the game too, you jerk. If the movie is anything like the game, there’s going to be blood everywhere—tons of green, tons of red, and plenty of dead Alien scum.😁
nimblemarlin17 said:I saw some reviews for Predator and Rambo over on Rotten Tomatoes once. The consensus was basically: "There isn't even a hint of romance." They were actually shocked there were any female characters in those movies at all. Honestly, I get it. You have to know the difference between a mindless action flick and a movie that actually needs a romantic subplot.
Are you calling Predator mindless action? That movie is pure GOLD!!!!111!1111!
Oh, and Area 51 is also gold.
As for romance in movies, I can't stand it either. Especially when they force that garbage into films where it just doesn't belong.
They were swapping up the setlist quite a bit during the SS tour last year. Of course, certain staples like Master of Puppets always make the cut, but they also shook things up by pulling more tracks from those first four albums. There’s basically nothing from Load, and even Fuel from Reload isn't really in the rotation anymore.
The focus shifted toward Kill 'Em All era tracks—stuff like No Remorse, Seek & Destroy, Whiplash, and Hit the Lights. From Ride the Lightning, they played Fight Fire with Fire, Ride the Lightning, and Creeping Death🙏 often, along with For Whom the Bell Tolls and Fade to Black. From the MOP album, you'd get Master of Puppets, Battery, Damage Inc., Thing That Should Not Be, and Welcome Home. From AJFA, they went with Blackened, One, and Harvester of Sorrow.
As for the Black Album, they stick to Sad But True, Nothing Else Matters, and Enter Sandman. From St. Anger, it's been Frantic, St. Anger, The Unnamed Feeling, and Dirty Window.
That covers most of what they've played since St. Anger dropped. If I remember correctly, they even threw Leper Messiah into the mix once.
