Suggestion for expanding the "Life as a Couple" PDF in Feedback & Suggestions ·
neoncrane64 said:..regarding those ideas about expanding ZuD (or even adding more), I honestly think maybe we should get some celebrities involved. Most of them are just bored anyway, and if they see "Part 2" in a title, there's no way they're going to bother opening a PDF... I mean, you've got guys like Mike Tyson who probably have a dozen pit bulls and tigers hanging out at his mansion, or people like Olivia Wilde, Eva Longoria, Megan Fox, or even Rihanna...
..maybe Dua Lipa is the only one actually reading ZuD, but even that might change once she rebrands herself as Six Lipa. Honestly, it’s almost doubtful that even someone like Anna Kendrick would show up for ZuD🕺

But honestly, that's exactly why it's such a good thing that the PDF is titled "Marriage"! See, these celebrities love to act all morally superior, pretending they're these perfect, wholesome family types. It wouldn't sit right with them to be associated with something that sounds "immoral." It doesn't matter what the actual topic is or if they're writing about living with seven other people—and it definitely doesn't matter how they actually live their lives—what matters is that the PDF isn't named something that clashes with their image. Ugh, so fake.

I forgot what else I was going to say. It's the same deal with celebrities. I'll post again when it comes back to me.
So, we sat down for a little council meeting and, I’m not gonna lie to you, things weren't looking great for you. But then, out of nowhere, adelon—our illustrious moderator of absolutely nothing—decided to establish a massive new holiday, the biggest one yet, event! In honor of this grand occasion (which officially fell on May 10th, though it took us a couple of days to actually sober up), it was decided that you should be ceremoniously honored as our very first permanent ban recipient. To represent everything that day stands for, > will be removed. I truly hope you'll appreciate this fresh start by actually following the rules, sticking to the guidelines, respecting the other members, and just being a decent human being.

Good luck navigating the forums again, and welcome back (even though, let's be real, you never actually left since you were posting from an alt account, but we'll let that slide)!

Are these just stupid trolls? in Banned Users Corner ·
Aaron Evans2 said:Hey guys,

I’m seriously losing my mind here because this is the third time now—on three totally different accounts—that I’ve been slapped with a ban for being a "stupid troll." Out of all the trolls on this site, somehow I'm always the one who gets screwed over. Is trolling supposed to be some kind of joke or what? Someone up there really thinks they're something special.

Well, look, if this is actually your third strike, then statistically speaking, there's a pretty high chance your version of trolling is just... well, extra trollish.

To each their own, I guess. :coffee:

Life really does demand that you step back and look at things from a completely different perspective every once in a while. It’s hard to capture that whole feeling in just a few words. 🙂

Hey there, neoncrane64. Sorry about that—I meant neoncrane64! After reading through your suggestion, I actually found myself spiraling into this deep meditation that lasted about a week. Then, I dove into some massive research and ran a little survey all across the Beautiful Coast. Following that came the grueling work of putting together a scientific—how should I put this?—analysis. And I have to tell you, there’s definitely something to what you’re saying. At the end of the day, we are a progressive, worldly forum here, totally open to all kinds of love, life, and coexistence, which naturally includes multi-partner setups or what people call polyamory and polyandry these days. As far as I know, that second part doesn't really have anything to do with Hebrang. But anyway... where was I? Right, basically, I've concluded that even though the subforum is titled Life as Two, we can absolutely talk about life as three, four, five, and so on and so forth—or even just life as one. In fact, we've done it before! There are tons of threads on it! To me, that just proves our forum has always been ahead of its time and the perfect place for high-quality discussions. Even if the name says "Life as Two," it’s really about life in general, as long as it’s shared. Should we change the name? Well, that's the big debate now. Honestly, how many subforums have names that describe them with absolute, surgical precision? Is there even a name out there that can perfectly capture everything without leaving room for discussion? I feel like this is more of a topic for Philosophy (is that the right name for it?), but PŽK is also somewhat philosophical in nature (see how names can be misleading!), so let's just leave it here. "Life as Two" is actually a poetic device, a bit of wordplay; it’s there to draw people in and make them wonder: "Is my life truly just two?" How many people are within me—not in that weird LjES way—and how many are in others, and are perhaps the two of us actually one, or maybe even three? We're so conditioned to think coexistence usually happens between two people; that's just the culture we grew up in. So, imagine someone waking up, brewing a cup of coffee, lighting a cigarette, thinking to themselves that it's just going to be another boring Tuesday, clicking on Life as Two, and what do they find? A whole spectrum of communities they couldn't have even imagined! That is the true strength of Life as Two; it isn't just about being two people. It’s actually so much more, just like any other subforum, even if it might not seem that way at first glance. Just think about it for a second.

Anthony Nguyen81 said:(And there's zero accountability for the insults thrown in the history threads).

What is even the point of this kind of behavior—this constant, relentless jumping down someone else's throat?

Reddit shouldn't be a place where people just get to insult one another.
Someone acting like this, leaving comments like these, paints a pretty clear picture of their own character, but honestly, it should be the moderation team's job to make sure this doesn't fly.

I've already reached out to the moderators asking them to keep an eye on the constant nitpicking, the insults, and all this other nonsense, but unfortunately, nothing has come of it.

I wouldn't call it outright insulting, but it definitely is an ad hominem attack. You've singled out three posts written within the same month, so I wouldn't really say it's "constant" unless that user basically does nothing else but post those. Given how much volume we deal with here, it’s a huge stretch to expect a moderator to catch every single instance where one specific user targets another maybe three times a month. As long as the debate hasn't spiraled into pure trolling or lost its actual quality, it’s perfectly normal for these occasional jabs to get overlooked. I get that you see it differently because you're personally on the receiving end.

In principle, attacking other users personally isn't allowed. Whether or not they get sanctioned depends on a lot of different factors. Personally, if I were moderating, I'd at least delete these posts because, aside from being ad hominem attacks, they don't hold any substance regarding the topic and don't contribute anything to the discussion—if anything, they detract from it. I'm calling on the moderators to please remove posts that serve nothing but provocation without adding any real value to the threads, and feel free to use whatever other tools are necessary to keep things civil.

The Ban has handed down a week-long suspension, which means you’ve still got about four days and a few hours left to serve. Apparently, the official reason given was persistent trolling.
How to appeal a ban in Banned Users Corner ·
I went ahead and lifted your ban. Just a heads-up though, please don't go looking for another one if you aren't actually planning on making things right.
Look, you weren't banned because of anything you did over on LjES; you just got a partial restriction there. You earned this Perm because you were posting some seriously dangerous stuff in the Health section, and honestly, if people had actually followed your advice, they could have easily put their lives at risk. We just can't tolerate that kind of thing here.
Larry Walker24 said:Hold on, you won't even give me access after less than a month🤦

So this is just some moderator decisiona? But wait, aren't you the only one handling the ESC moderation anyway?

And what's the deal with why the partial status remains?

Did it really take fifteen whole days to figure that out?! 🤦

Look, there doesn't need to be an explanation for why the partial stays, because those are issued as permanent status, you know that.

Zato:

Anderson said:rustydrifter10 has what I’d call a "subversive signature by a heavyweight author." It’s basically an art installation with a massive range of meanings that questions all sorts of modern life themes. You could probably write an entire college thesis on it. It’s like seeing a bright neon sign flashing atop a skyscraper in downtown Chicago.

We don't hand out permanent bans just because someone asks for them. If you're done posting on the forum, you can just log out whenever you want.

You’ve been banned for almost an entire year now. You popped back up here just to drop some ads, and then you immediately pivoted to provocation in messages + total contribution. There hasn't been a single shred of good faith or any sign that you actually want to be a constructive, helpful member of this community.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about these polls, and I really don't see any point in even bringing them up.

Jonathan Wright2 said:Since I got called out in the post, I guess I have to respond, my dear colleague.

Neither you nor our friend bluecyclist64 made it onto the poll.
I didn't think it was necessary to include you two since you're such close ideological allies of lonettrucker4.

Please, don't take it personally.
As for the poll itself:
The request was sent out to over 160 different users on this forum.
We ended up getting responses from 120 people.
Here is how the numbers currently stack up:

84—against lonettrucker4
18—neutral or undecided
8—irrelevant/not interested
10—for lonettrucker4

It wasn't some "secret" operation; I just didn't expect things to blow up this much.
I kept it quiet for a bit.
I started this whole thing because I felt like lonettrucker4 was systematically targeting me.
And honestly, the results proved I wasn't alone in feeling that way.

If you want to be part of the poll, you're more than welcome. I'm not trying to play favorites here. It's just that I didn't see the point in dragging you guys into it.
You and bluecyclist64 openly support lonettrucker4, which is totally your right.

Initially... the poll spread like wildfire among those who had been sanctioned or were dealing with sanctions.
Besides...
rustydrifter10 can go ahead and ask the users over in the History PDF thread how they interpret the situation.

This isn't about being brave or anything—it's just that I already know what your answer would be.
Sometimes I seriously wonder if you and lonettrucker4 are actually the same person...

And let’s be real—I have zero faith in a poll where the author conveniently leaves out the very people they know won't vote the way they want. If that's the case, then what's even the point? Thanks a lot, but you can just keep the results and all those little details to yourself, because the administration isn't going to use them to make any actual decisions anyway.

Chloe Cox90 said:Hey there, admins,

I’ve been a part of this community for quite a long time now. But lately, I’ve been noticing this wave of hostility coming from a lot of users—just bitter, mean-spirited comments no matter what topic I decide to bring to the table. It’s been going on for a while, and honestly, I’m just getting really tired of being an easy target for these nasty remarks when I haven't done anything to offend anyone.

Could you maybe walk me through a few specific examples?
