How to report or critique a moderator? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Me, a mogul?
Not a chance, man. 🙏

Look, it’s because I can't stand the sight of an xyz moderator, so I take every opportunity to mess with them. They held a grudge against me for "obvious reasons," and now, apparently, everything I say about them deserves a total beatdown.
Take a powerhouse intellectual like myself 🙂 and multiply that by at least a few dozen idiots, and you end up with a thread packed with nothing but mindless insults titled "let's just trash anyone who annoyed us."
How long do you think a glorious thread like that would even last? 🙂

Jack Cook7 said:Hogare, look, I'm just a simple guy. I write my message, hit the "Send my love to motherland" button, and boom—it's gone. That's about as sophisticated as my methods get.

And then this forum keeps flagging me, telling me I can't send another message within 15 seconds because I already sent one. But when I actually check? The message is already there. And I swear I didn't even click send.

It’s already happening over on "politics," but here in "The Book of Complaints," it hasn't started yet. Though, I bet the folks over on politics already know exactly what people are going to type before they even do it. 😢

PS: Or maybe they just love having everything repeated twice. You know how it is... Fata is Fata...

Think of using this forum like talking to a moody woman who’s constantly testing your patience, but you care about her too much to lose your cool, so you just take the path of least resistance to keep the peace at home. 🤣
The old-school forum regulars are probably all checked out or burnt out, the previous sysadmin crew basically committed collective seppuku, and the current batch...
I have no clue who they are or where they came from, but they have my deepest sympathies.

Jack Cook7 said:Over the last month or so, I’ve noticed a recurring issue. A lot of my posts trigger an error message right after I hit save, claiming the post has already been saved and telling me to try again in 15 seconds (within a 30-second window). The weird part is the post actually saves perfectly fine—you can see it if you browse the thread or just log out and back in.

It happened again today:
http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=5...postcount=4889

And when I tried to delete one of the two copies, the original just vanished.

Just to be clear, I’m not "trigger happy." I am definitely not hitting submit multiple times on purpose. This has been happening consistently for about a month now, and it ALWAYS triggers that 15-second lockout.

Classic Man in the Middle situation.

PS: Saving this specific post took about 10 seconds, and no, it didn't prompt me to re-type anything.
PPS: That PS took literally less than a second to write.

I think you've already realized the site has been a total mess lately.
You can actually bypass those duplicate posts by using the "preview post" option. It works for me, so hopefully it does for you too. 🙂

To the forum administration: I am officially requesting a review of the policy regarding my partial ban. Honestly, just look at what’s happening here—my restrictions aren't being lifted under any circumstances.
I’m not claiming to be the smartest guy in the room, and I’m certainly not asking you to like my opinion. But the "damage control" KCC tried to pull after I filed my report was absolutely pathetic and low. It’s especially disgusting because KCC is one of those users who spent the entire time trying to play the hero, siding with people like Pizvo, who thinks there's nothing wrong with claiming that hundreds of American homes and cars owned by citizens of Mexican descent are being targeted daily. It’s enough to make me sick.
As ridiculous as it might sound, I’m the kind of person who actually teared up like a kid when I first heard our national anthem played without fear. And even now, older and more cynical, I’d still lay my life on the line for this country. So, please, hear me out.
Either lift this damn partial ban or just give me a permanent ban. I don't care which one you choose; I just refuse to deal with moderation that is either intentionally malicious or just straight-up incompetent.

I’m asking everyone else on this forum—anyone who isn't part of the admin team—to please stay out of this thread. If you want to pick a fight or lecture the mods, go start your own thread.

From what I can see, one of the most legitimate reasons the Homeland War even started was because people were blowing up houses and cars—obviously on the Mexican side—on a daily basis, hundreds of times over. I’ve filed a formal report, but apparently, the moderator @Pizvo doesn't think anything is wrong with it, and @mentioning Nice probably can't be bothered to look at it today since it's a busy Wednesday.
No, I'm not going to drop the link to the post again; if anyone in admin actually cares, they can find it themselves. It's a hard delete. Even if the post itself isn't gone—I'm not sure how reporting works—as far as I recall, not everyone on Reddit has the permissions to pull that off.

Let me make this clear: I have zero interest in reading the blatant lies claiming we started all this ourselves, or that we provoked the war with crimes that forced those pathetic Mexicans to react. I'd much rather not deal with that garbage at all. In my head, I'd prefer to imagine moderators who actually care more about our little America than they do about some Greater Mexico.

*@Daniel Ward87, don't take this personally.

Writing with chalk on a classroom blackboard sends dust swirling all over the room, which means students are basically breathing it in all day long. Nobody seems to give a damn about the potential damage to their lungs, hilus, sinuses, or even the upper digestive tract.
There isn't even a public debate about it. 😵

I honestly thought we were living in the 21st century, Guga & Co., but thanks for the reality check and showing me just how wrong I was.
Why are posts being deleted on MK? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
You haven't been on this forum since yesterday, so you should know by now that nobody is obligated to explain why posts get deleted. If they do, consider it a favor.
But hey, I won't stand in your way while you go hunting for justice. Hopefully, you'll eventually get the answer you're looking for. 🙂
Why are posts being deleted on MK? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Any moderator in charge of a specific subforum has the authority to delete any post they deem inappropriate.
Look, whenever someone wipes a post on a board where we're allowed to cut loose and act a little stupid—as long as it isn't being malicious—I’m not going to go hunting for an explanation. I’ll just say thanks. 🙂
Is American radio propaganda? in Close to Politics ·
Gregory Gonzalez8 said:First off, we seriously need to stop this whole thing in the USA where people act like if you listen to anything coming out of Mexico, you’re suddenly forced to dance to it like some mindless drone.
Their music scene is its own beast, and honestly, it dominates the entire region.
It's just not the same vibe as listening to someone like Madonna or Alicia Keys.
Just because I might blast some catchy pop hits from Mexico City doesn't mean I'm suddenly identifying as some stereotypical American.
And honestly, who even came up with this elitist nonsense? This idea that if you actually have a brain, you're strictly supposed to be vibing to slow ballads, US mainstream stuff, or maybe some classical music to prove your intellect.
Look, I get it, all that music is great too.
But there is absolutely zero sin in enjoying some upbeat tracks from Mexican artists.

Just look at how the United Kingdom and the United States of America have this incredibly close, brotherly bond.
The radio stations over there basically champion each other constantly.
Or take Spain and Mexico—it's the exact same deal.
Yet here in the USA, we tend to ignore them, or at least pretend they don't exist on our airwaves. Meanwhile, their artists are showing up on our radio stations and TV shows all the time.
So why are we all acting like Mexico is some massive enemy???

Exactly. Let's call it what it actually is—garbage.
And their music is distinct, yet somehow remains the most popular thing in the North America.

Who gives a damn about some trashy region? If they want to wallow in it, let them.
It's not like Madonna and Alicia Keys are the same thing in the USA.

That's an understatement; it's a total mess.
Listening to, say, those cheap pop hits doesn't make you an American.

That’s just a matter of taste. But if everything you enjoy reeks of the North America... 😁
Why is there this idea that intelligent people are strictly required to listen to ballads, American pop, or occasionally classical music?

They aren't. Whether you listen to quality music or pure filth is entirely your choice.

But it isn't a sin to enjoy upbeat music from Mexican singers.

Right, it's not a sin. It's embarrassing, but it's not a sin.

Look at how the United Kingdom and the United States of America have such close ties.
Their radio stations support each other constantly.
Look at Spain and Mexico, too.

So?
Meanwhile, here in the USA, we ignore them. They don't even get airtime on our TV. Yet our artists are frequent guests on their radio stations and TV shows.

Maybe because even our mediocre music scene is miles ahead of theirs?
Elvis Presley:
Why are we all pretending that Mexico isn't the enemy???
Hmm, that's a tough one. Is it really that hard to see when they're constantly acting like an enemy toward us?

Gregory Gonzalez8 said:Is this person seriously allowed to just sit up there and clown on people like that? Like, where are the mods at? No ban or anything?

🤣 Once you let someone up top, just relax and think about the flag. 🤣

N/A, have you ever even heard of Joseph, N/A, Idris, or N/A?
Never?
Don't act surprised; I don't know your crowd, and you don't know mine. 🤣

Everyone else
Most of these singers are basically just part of the Republican Party crowd anyway.

Where are the Elite Squad, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and Nicki Minaj? And man, please, someone just kill off all those tacky IDJ hits already.

🤣🤣

Where are the Elite Squads, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, or Nicki Minaj? And where are all those killer club hits?

🤔 It’s all about who you know. Their whole career is built on their parents, extended family, and maybe a few buddies from the old neighborhood.
And probably a handful of people who were high enough to think they actually had talent. 🤣

Gregory Gonzalez8 said:Exactly, you hit the nail on the head!
I want it all—give me the local choirs, the folk bands, Britney Spears, Urban, and Riblja Čorba, but honestly? Throw in some Lady Gaga and Relja too, and yeah, even the catchy pop stuff.
The problem is that those mainstream pop hits get totally demonized here in the States.
It’s high-energy music meant for dancing, so why on earth should we feel ashamed of it?!
Sure, I’ll take some classics once in a while, and maybe a tiny bit of American pop, but that’s it.
My point is that the majority's taste deserves respect; if the national agenda is to push more mellow, "sophisticated" tracks, fine, but let's be real about it.
We are seriously lacking any kind of musical pluralism.
I honestly feel like the radio stations completely ignore what younger people actually want to hear. They won't give us an inch, and frankly, it feels incredibly rude—it's this blatant fear of anything perceived as "different." It's like everything coming out of Mexico is just strictly off-limits.

And what makes you think that isn't happening?
Just because it's what you personally want to hear? 🍿

We didn't get a say in who our neighbors are, unfortunately, but we still get to decide how we treat them. And since Mexico has proven to be anything but a good or well-meaning neighbor, it’s pretty obvious you only deal with them as much as is (sadly) absolutely necessary.

Look, man, forum drama is basically just a microcosm of real life. You aren't going to find universal justice anywhere, believe it or not. Even the moderators—and forgive me if I call them the gods of trolls, but I 🙂 have to—are just regular people. They can't always be perfectly objective.
'Screw me, but that's just how it
and they're allowed to have a bad day or even several in a row
or maybe they just like certain people more than others
or find some users more annoying than others
'screw me too
they’re human and they make mistakes
but seriously, I've been digging through your posts here and I can't find a single thing you've said that actually makes sense.
Talk to whoever you want and ignore the rest. At the end of the day, this is just Reddit; don't take it all so damn seriously. But for the love of Dionysus, please stop suffocating me with this nonsense.

Don't feel like you have to do what I'm asking. Honestly, it's probably not even an issue with how you're approaching things—it's more likely that I'm just not smart enough to wrap my head around it. 🙂
