How can I make my Microsoft Surface Pro more useful?

Linux should run just fine. If all else fails, it’s not like you lose much by giving it a shot. Windows 7 isn't even going to recognize your HW anymore.

The Russians, those supposed "masters of asymmetric warfare," are unleashing such a massive amount of asymmetry right now that it's actually quite incredible.
To start, we saw modern, though perhaps not yet "cutting edge," systems like the Javelin (and later the Stinger) being deployed. The longer this drags on and the more resources Russia pours into it—unless the situation turns hopeless, which seems unlikely given current trends—the more new infantry weapons, gear, and tactical maneuvers will be "field-tested" against the Russians. They are going to bleed out in Ukraine; it's going to knock nearly all their teeth out.
Ukraine won't just survive; they're going to evolve into a society and a military force that becomes an insurmountable obstacle for Russia. Essentially, Russia is going to end up with a high-octane version of Poland sitting right on their border.

This kind of backstabbing isn't anything new. It’s always just a bunch of people fighting behind closed doors over who gets to file more lawsuits.
Today, Alpha Tauri clocked the fastest time at the end of the day, but Red Bull pulled way more laps.

Or was the little guy just talking nonsense?

Ninety percent of people are thinking like five-year-olds, yet we’re all going to feel the sting of this conflict firsthand.
Prices are climbing every single day. People are going to lose their jobs, and who knows what else is coming down the pipeline.
No war has ever yielded anything good. (Except for the profiteers.)

Nuclear weapons come in all different yields and ranges, and Putin would likely use the more powerful ones to target European cities far from the Russian border. I'm thinking specifically of major cities in the United Kingdom and the European Union—essentially, cities within NATO member states.
In my view, only a madman would initiate a war like the one Putin has started, and a madman will certainly resort to nuclear weapons if he feels like it. To him, individual lives aren't the priority; his objectives are.

p.s.
Something just crossed my mind while I was sitting here: does international law actually permit piracy by parties involved in a conflict? Think about it—Ukraine could theoretically arm up some inconspicuous merchant ship to intercept Russian cargo vessels in international waters and sink them. It’s the kind of thing the Swabians used back in World War II.

Besides, Whitesnake without DC doesn't really make sense. He *is* Whitesnake. Looking back at their whole history, the band has basically just been Coverdale plus a revolving door of different musicians.
Maybe after Coverdale retires (or, God forbid, passes away), we might see some sort of all-star tribute band made up of former members. Something like how those Dio Disciples popped up after RJD died, or those Thin Lizzy reunions they've done over the last thirty years after Phil passed.
