What's your dream music club? in Music ·
Gregory Rivera30 said:I know plenty of people—myself included—who would absolutely flock to a club or a dive bar playing that kind of music, so I honestly don't get why places like that are so hard to find.

Look, in Washington, D.C., there’s actually a Hard Place in a pretty decent part of town... they even host live shows from some really solid bands, but if you ask me, I haven't seen the place actually packed once...🤷

Are you getting paid per post or something? 🤣

The Topic:
Back in the day, Spider-Man was easily the absolute best venue in Washington, D.C. for pretty much any kind of vibe... we're talking everything from live shows and local DJs to those late-night indie film screenings... it’s such a damn shame it just sits there gathering dust and looking empty now...

If you don't have any neighbors to watch your back, then honestly, you might as well just hand over the keys to the local street gang right now.
Does anyone know? in Miscellaneous ·
Jose Morales said:Is it actually possible to just roll up to an ER, tell them exactly what you need—like, "Hey, good morning, I'd like to get this tooth pulled"—but then ask to stay completely anonymous and just pay whatever they end up doing?

Not really. Your best bet is just finding a private clinic.
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Chloe Watson82 said:Please, please don't come for me immediately over my protein shake choices, but I really wanted to try the budget-friendly route first... I'm trying to drop about 10 pounds, so I decided to swap out my breakfast for this protein shake I picked up at Walmart... It actually works in the sense that it keeps me totally full, but within thirty to sixty minutes, I am absolutely bloated—gas, and honestly, I've even had diarrhea twice already... Usually, certain foods or just stress might make me feel puffy, but I can never pinpoint what's causing it, so it’s always a total gamble for me😁 but with this stuff, I'm positive because it's been happening every single morning for two weeks straight...
I'm officially quitting this stuff, but does anyone have any advice for an alternative? Something that won't break the bank? Just to be clear, I'm working out three times a week and trying to eat as healthy as possible throughout the day with a few meals.

Thanks!

Look, if you're going to insist on replacing a whole meal with supplements (which, let's be honest, isn't exactly a great idea), wouldn't it be better to swap out your dinner instead of breakfast?
Tattoo ideas? in Miscellaneous ·
So, where are you actually thinking of putting this thing? Like, what's the placement strategy here? And I gotta know—are we talking a tiny little minimalist piece or something massive that takes up half your torso?
Also, what kind of color palette are we looking at? Are you going full grayscale or hitting it with some wild, vibrant colors?

So, my paycheck for November just hit my account...$300 though it’s definitely looking a little thinner than I was hoping, which honestly makes me wonder if they’re actually planning on giving me a little something extra for a Christmas girl 🤣
What do you do when someone scams you out of $300? in Miscellaneous ·
So... what are you even supposed to say to a loan shark?

I’ve got his number, though he probably tossed that SIM card ages ago and is using some fake name anyway. Honestly, none of these guys are going to bite, because they aren't private investigators—they're just low-level thugs, and if they were actually willing to go on a manhunt, this whole city would have to be way bigger than $667. Besides, for such a tiny amount of cash, nobody is going to get their hands dirty. We're talking about a success rate of maybe 30%, which works out to roughly $220, and nobody's risking their neck for that. If someone does agree to help, they won't want a percentage; they'll want a flat fee, which just means they're going to screw you over, and let me tell you, those types are more dangerous than a runaway kid in a bad neighborhood...

Look, your best bet is just hoping the police do their job. Or, if you actually spot the guy, just start screaming "thief!" at the top of your lungs and maybe someone will step in—believe me, I've seen it happen. Your other option is to spend your entire day playing shadow and stalking him until you figure out where he lives and what his real name is so you can take it to the cops... but let's be real, that only happens in Hollywood movies, and only if you don't have anything better to do than follow strangers around town all day!

There is no third option...

Good luck!

Betty Jones52 said:You’re sitting there overanalyzing every little detail like it’s some grand master plan, while I’m just over here completely spinning my wheels because, honestly, we can't even figure out how to separate an egg without making a total mess of it. 🙈

Honestly, women just have a solution for every single problem, don't they? Or at least that’s what Hawking once said, and if you think about it, he wasn't exactly wrong, was he? It’s like they come equipped with an endless supply of fixes for things most people wouldn't even notice existed until everything started falling apart! 😉

I mean, if you really sit down and think about the logic of it all—and I know, I know, I’m getting ahead of myself—but if you just drink enough, shouldn't you technically need half the eggs? It's basic math, right? Or maybe it's just how my brain works after a few too many drinks, but honestly, does anyone else feel like the physics of breakfast changes once the cocktails start flowing? 😁

Quick question? in Miscellaneous ·
So, you can call it a lightstick or a glow stick—honestly, people use both terms interchangeably, so don't sweat the semantics too much. There are tons of different brands out there making them.
You could probably pick some up at a Summit or even a Nike store, since they’re basically used as emergency light sources for things like caving or camping trips and stuff like that. I remember seeing them back in the day at a Walter Gropius too, usually just sitting right there next to the strobe lights and disco balls. It really shouldn't cost you more than a couple of bucks, because in the US, you can grab one for about a dollar.
Air tank regulator/pressure gauge recommendations? in Miscellaneous ·
It really all comes down to the specific thread type on the cylinder, you know? You’re supposed to have those tanks certified before you even think about taking them underwater, so your best bet is to just track down the technician who handled the inspection and let them give you the full rundown. They’ll probably point you toward the major brands like Luxfer or even some local specialty outfits they trust.
Another way to play it is to just swing by a local dive shop or a scuba club nearby and pick their brains.

Look, when we're talking about things that actually determine whether you live or die, isn't it better to just ask someone face-to-face instead of guessing over the internet?😉
Honestly, it’s not even a bad idea to just whip something up yourself using some software, you know? You could just head down to the local FedEx Office or a nearby print shop to have them run it on some heavy-duty cardstock and then get the whole thing laminated...

neonfalcon16 said:I honestly think Jack is going to take it before Ziggy does. Putting his physique aside for a second, Jack just has way more exposure and general popularity, plus—if you ask me—he’s actually a better singer than him. Besides, he’s the one who really stands out from this whole crowd of nobodies, and I'm not just talking about his look or his build.

At the end of the day, it's all about the money!

Kate Castillo55 said:So, does that mean everyone already knows Ziggy Marley is going to win?

Nah... that’s just my own cynical little theory...

What I was actually trying to get at is that THEY (let's call them the "expert panel") have already picked the winner and the song is basically already written in stone. Those seven weeks of pure psychological torture? It’s nothing more than a clever way to squeeze even more cash out of naive citizens who just keep voting by sending in those text messages.
Taylor Swift in Music ·
Three authors—who'll be picked via a public contest based entirely on who can act like they "love" the project the most, just like how they pick the singers—are going to team up to write a song for whoever manages to pull off the biggest, flashiest flex over the next seven weeks...

In plain English, Max Martin, Lady Gaga, and Barry Manilow have already finished writing a track for Ziggy Marley and his band...

Oh, please! We aren't failing, we're just catching this late-season blizzard like we always do. Last year, Germany took the win because they used this specific strategy for picking their entries, so now we're just playing catch-up and copying them. Remember a few years back when some track with those heavy Middle Eastern vibes won? Well, fast forward to next year and suddenly everyone's acting like "Mary Magdalene" is the only way to go... 😂
