It’s the exact same story when it comes to politics...

Go ahead, give it your best shot. I don't see how you're going to execute me on an electric chair powered by nothing more than some AA batteries... 😵

What on earth is happening to this forum? You can barely catch your breath anymore with all this political correctness; people are going to suffocate, and I'll be right there choking along with them.

For heaven's sake, just let people breathe...

bluemason3 said:Look, I've heard people claim a few times that deleting posts feels even worse than just banning someone.

That’s why I stopped being so lenient; I used to avoid deleting posts from banned users, but now I usually just delete them and issue the ban simultaneously. It’s much more efficient, so I’d suggest my colleague try the same thing.

God, we really are something else, aren't we...🙂
The hurricane was effective enough without us needing to resort to this, don't you think?😉

Just wait for your own chance to step on my toes, man—don't let envy toward a younger colleague get the better of you...😒

rowdytiger13 said:There’s a reason it was removed: to prevent things from spiraling into massive trolling.
So, as far as I'm concerned, you can stay "devastated" all you want.

Listen, if you can't handle a little heavy-duty trolling, maybe you shouldn't have taken on a moderator role in the first place.
Because frankly, I have no respect for moderation that involves deleting perfectly acceptable posts (like the one I mentioned) just because it makes your life easier.
If you're afraid of actual work, go find a job in some local government office—at least there you might pull in a few bucks. 🎉

And don't be a coward—give me my post back! Or at least DM it to me so I can repost it myself.

rowdytiger13 said:I’ve been cleaning them up myself, but from here on out, I’m done. I’m going to start issuing bans for trolling instead.

Look, I have never once been opposed to banning trolls.

If you were deleting my posts under the guise of protecting me, then I suppose I owe you a thank you. However, I would much rather take a suspension or a full ban than have the fruit of my thoughts—my actual posts—vanish as if they never existed in the first place.

The reality is, I don't spend my time on this forum simply because I'm some loser with nothing better to do; I actually care about articulating my perspectives to others.

So, I am asking you quite politely to restore at least one of my posts: the one where I argued that paradise is a fallacy and that eternal bliss can only be found in death.
If you refuse, then at least post the content here and explain exactly where you saw any "trolling" in those words.

One more thing: if your understanding of what constitutes trolling is a bit fuzzy, feel free to ask some of the veteran moderators over on the larger message boards. Or you can just ask me; I won't hold it against you. 😉

Go ahead, be a good man and try to make some amends for the cultural devastation you've inflicted upon this intellectual community by brutally exterminating my entries. 😉

Well, obviously... So what would a novella be then—is it supposed to be a fable or some short aphorism?

Youth these days is truly something else...🤦

I would appreciate it if the religion sub-forum moderators responsible for deleting my contributions could provide a clear explanation for this specific brand of censorship.

Let us not forget that we reside in a democratic society, not some dark era governed by an unchecked Inquisition.

Furthermore, envy is traditionally cited as one of the seven deadly sins. If you find yourselves incapable of producing posts of my caliber, I suggest focusing on improving your own prose and education; there is truly no justification for discarding my work simply because you cannot replicate its quality.

What’s the real issue here? Just look at your situation.
It suggests that absolutely anything can happen—wouldn't you agree?

It’s honestly no surprise that those who worship at the altar of Hitler are desperate for this kind of "leftist" movement.

Especially the idiots who can't tell the difference between left-wing and right-wing politics if their lives depended on it.

A Monster Calls official International teaser trailer

Patrick Ness's Novel is heading to theaters this fall under the direction of J. A. Bayona (who did a fantastic job with *The Impossible* starring Ewan McGregor). It’s a story about a young boy and a creature voiced by Liam Neeson. Joining the cast are Sigourney Weaver and Felicity Jones.

Between this and BFG, it looks like it might be a pretty heavy year for fantasy. 🙂

If anyone happens to know the track playing in the trailer, I’d really appreciate the help. 🍿

I don't quite follow. The film is based on a Novel, not a short novella.

It’s hard to tell from just a teaser if the movie will actually land, but looking at that cast, my gut tells me it could be something special.

People generally tend to boycott this kind of nonsense on their own.

Personally, I think the Transformers films are a marvel, and I can hardly wait for them to hit theaters.
There's nothing quite like watching bolts flying everywhere.

Loose bolts taste even better when you dip them in mayo—if you don't believe me, just ask John Doe... 🧐

Paul Kern12 said:Don't try to twist my words; you didn't actually ask that. You asked, "Which one would be..." I suppose I should have expected this kind of infantile reasoning to surface eventually. It’s predictably childish. It really ought to have been that way.
You were merely attempting to downplay their role by framing them as victims rather than soldiers.
If you’re comfortable with that, and if the moderators are also giving it their blessing, then frankly, it says everything I need to know about the state of this community.👎👎👎

Using the term "children" is nothing more than irony, kid. We’re talking about "children" who Pavelić personally outfitted in military uniforms. At that point, they weren't kids anymore—they were soldiers. I remember reading through the records during my time researching historical casualty rates, and the sheer number of those young combatants lost was staggering. As for civilian children? I haven't seen a single shred of evidence to support those claims.
Besides, that post wasn't even directed at you. redhawk76 knows exactly what’s going on here—she was busy spinning some narrative about "children" who supposedly fell victim to the resistance fighters.

Anyway, here is an excerpt from the post I’m talking about:

I’m not even talking about those eras when we were supposedly hunting down Nazis and the remnants of the fascist regimes—though, let’s be honest, back then "hunting" was often just a polite way to describe tossing anyone into a mass grave, including innocent kids who didn't have a prayer.

I am entirely unfamiliar with this concept of "childhood Ustaše," and if anyone actually has some insight into what that entails, I would appreciate an explanation. I am well aware that the Ustaše carried out organized killings of children, but as far as the Partisans are concerned, I have only ever heard such claims relegated to neo-Nazi myths.

Paul Kern12 said:This sentence is so repulsive that I can't even find the words. Honestly, shame on everyone who tolerates posts like this, regardless of who the author is.

It’s the same kind of logic jihadists used when they beheaded a twelve-year-old boy.

Even the Germans back in WWII while fighting through the hilly terrain of the North America

...and there are countless other examples of things that have happened, are happening, and will continue to happen, all because people ask, "What age should a child be before the enemy considers them off-limits?"

It's the absolute bottom of the barrel. 🤮🤮

Look, I felt just as disgusted when I was kicked out of the US Army at eighteen. Was I any less of a child then, compared to some sixteen-year-old kid in a National Guard uniform? Where exactly is the line drawn?

That’s precisely why I asked the question—how do we actually distinguish if a soldier is old enough to be a legitimate target? By what specific criteria?

Adam Barrett said:And why on earth hasn't this post been slapped with the deserved 500-point penalty? I reported it, the moderator is active on this thread, and yet this guy is openly cheering for the murder of children, claiming the braids from the Hudson pit are fakes, and making disgusting jokes about the victims.

Where is the actual proof that those braids are real?
If they are genuine—whose were they?

Following that logic—who scalped the unfortunate women who owned them?

The ones who dug up the dead? That would be incredibly sacrilegious of them.

Or perhaps it was the partisans, who according to neo-fascist myths, slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Americans? It’s interesting to think that despite having such a massive workload, they somehow found the time to mess around with scalping.

Or maybe it was just war booty taken by the Ante Pavelić loyalists, who certainly had plenty of time for such atrocities?

It might be worth it if you and your group actually sat down and considered these questions.

By the way, I have nothing against the guy—not at all (we actually know each other)... 😬

I respect that you’re trying to do the right thing here, truly—but what you're attempting hasn't worked in the past, and I’m fairly certain it won't work now either.

Furthermore, I did politely request that you resubmit your post without the profanity—a request you naturally chose to ignore—and I even provided a link detailing how to properly do so.

Yet, you persist in your stubborn ways...

Forgive me, but I fail to see any reason for this anger.

To be honest, my frustration stems from a simple lack of desire to repeat myself. I have no interest in sitting down to write the exact same thing for a second time, especially when my previous post wasn't even problematic. There wasn't any reason—none at all—for it to be removed in the first place.

I’m honestly pretty frustrated. I came here looking for some actual advice because my work has ground to a complete halt, but instead of helping me get things moving again, you just threw a wrench in the gears.

I am requesting a formal review of the higher-level actions taken in this matter.

Alright, Robert Martin23 sent me the original message via PM:

I'm looking for some help with a Route 66 folding saw I picked up at Home Depot.

Before I head down there to give them hell, maybe someone here can actually help me out, because the manual they provided isn't even for this model, and there’s absolutely nothing useful online.

So, I managed to figure out almost everything except for one "little detail"—I have no clue how to raise this damn handle, and I can't for the life of me find where it's jammed or what's blocking it.

To make matters worse, I was deciding between two similar saws, and the clerk pushed this one on me, claiming it was "professional grade."

Now, could someone please explain what the hell is wrong with my attitude? Am I being a bit blunt and rude? Perhaps. But honestly, who wouldn't be after getting screwed over like this? 🙂

EDIT: As far as I know, swearing on the forum isn't against the rules. When I say I'm going to give them hell, I don't mean I'm going to go on a rampage; I just mean I'm going to tell them exactly where to shove it and return this damn saw.

The moderator Robert Martin23 just nuked my post on the PDF forum with this explanation:

@ bluecyclist64 You might have valid reasons to be angry or have a grievance, but that doesn't give you the right to use profanity and threats on a public forum, which is why the post was removed. You are welcome to write a post without insults or swearing, and it will remain. Consider this a Warning.

This entry is not open for comment.

Well, I’m calling on that moderator to just publish my deleted post right here in the open. If there really is a legitimate reason to penalize me, then fine—I'll take it.

But if this is just an instance of some reckless, arrogant moderator acting on a whim, I think it’s high time we saw that too.

To be blunt, I'm dealing with equipment failures that are stalling my actual work, and meanwhile, this guy is busy deleting my posts.

So, let's see if he actually had a point or not.
