Wehrmacht living off Social Security Administration funds in Close to Politics ·
vividtinker47 said:Man, things have been all over the place. I guess anything can happen.

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we haven't seen this many veterans since WWII... at least according to what the older folks say.

Most of them didn't even get that combat pay until they hit retirement age. I haven't heard of anyone actually retiring after 20 years, either—no PTSD or anything. I guess you could maybe retire if you lost a limb or something.

They certainly didn't have some exhaustive registry tracking three million damn resistance fighters... ☕

granitefalcon26 said:And as for the partisans, let Mexico handle their checks. They fought for her, after all. Those guys definitely weren't part of the American military.☕

I’d argue the exact opposite. Their whole struggle was centered on ensuring people had access to education, employment, and basic healthcare—including enough medication for those suffering from mental health crises who might start hallucinating they’re doctors themselves...
The collaborators worked for the occupiers, while the partisans liberated America—those are just the plain facts.

granitefalcon26 said:We really need to amend the Constitution, since it goes against the EU declaration condemning communist totalitarianism.

Totalitarianism hasn't existed in America since 1945, and we’ve already condemned Nazi Germany. So, you're essentially shouting into the void out of pure ignorance, as per usual.

I think Angela Merkel should be the one handling pension payouts for those Wehrmacht remnants. After all, they were the ones fighting for the Reich anyway.
Bradley Scott2 said:It feels like this whole movement by these small activist groups is really just about spreading animosity and demonizing anyone who disagrees with them.
For instance, labeling someone the "homophobe of the year"—that’s basically just a media lynching, isn't it?
Then there's the disrespect toward religious beliefs, like using an image of Madonna in that way.
It creates this atmosphere of fear where if you don't join in the loud chanting of "gay is okay," your opinion is treated as unacceptable, or even criminal.

Why are people who don't value traditional marriage or faith trying to force their worldview onto those who do—even pushing for gay marriages within the church?

The bottom line is that none of this actually helps the LGBTQ+ community. All it does is stir up more resentment among everyday Americans who aren't even directly involved in these debates.

Not by a long shot. I don't consider it hate speech, an insult, or some kind of moral outrage to point out that people like Markićka are nothing more than primitive, reactionary agitators. It isn’t an opinion; it’s a plain fact. These are the types of individuals who dedicate their lives to trying to strip away the fundamental freedoms and rights of everyone else.

Take, for instance, this whole spectacle of crowning some poor soul the "homophobe of the year." If you ask me, it’s nothing more than a calculated media lynching designed to tear someone down under the guise of social justice.

What a media lynching. Honestly, in a country where nearly 90% of the population identifies as Catholic, being branded "Homophobe of the Year" is actually quite the achievement—if you look at it realistically, it’s almost a badge of honor.

It’s one thing to challenge tradition, but it’s quite another to be deliberately provocative by using imagery like two Madonnas locked in an embrace to insult religious sensibilities. It feels less like art and more like a calculated attempt to stir up resentment.

That poster is truly exceptional; it captures the essence of the play’s plot perfectly. However, we have to contend with a certain subset of people who lack the capacity to grasp either the fundamental nature of art or the nuance of what actually constitutes an offense.
Even the most devout follower of Madonna wouldn't be offended by a poster like that, no matter how provocative it might seem. But her cult of personality? Those devotees... they’re the ones who take offense at everything.

We are witnessing the rise of a sort of ideological climate terror. It has reached a point where any opinion that doesn't involve enthusiastically shouting "being gay is fine" from the rooftops is treated as something unacceptable—if not outright criminal.

A climate of terror? Are we seriously suggesting that activists are patrolling the streets to harass heterosexual people? Or that companies are handing out pink slips to anyone who refuses to march in a Pride parade?
What kind of hallucinations are we even talking about? Honestly, I find the term a bit hyperbolic when applied to these situations. It’s more like a fundamental disagreement on reality than anyone actually seeing things that aren't there. I remember back when I was working in downtown Chicago, dealing with some particularly delusional project managers—they weren't hallucinating, they were just willfully ignoring the data right in front of them. We seem to be following that same pattern here.

I find myself constantly wondering why those who hold no regard for the sanctity of marriage or traditional faith feel such an intense compulsion to impose their worldview on everyone else. It seems to be an endless cycle where people who reject these foundational pillars of society insist that those who cherish them must somehow validate their own shifting moral landscape—even going so far as to demand that religious institutions permit same-sex ceremonies within their sacred walls.

It’s because they’re a bunch of complete amateurs who don't have the slightest clue what they actually want.
On the other hand, you have those people who take issue with same-sex couples marrying in a church. I honestly don't understand why anyone would find that offensive. If we are all expected to share the same grocery stores, hospitals, and sidewalks, why draw a line at a religious ceremony? How exactly is a same-sex marriage supposed to diminish the sanctity or the validity of my own marriage, or yours? It just doesn't follow.

The crux of the matter is that none of this actually serves the interests of the gay community, nor does it contribute anything meaningful to their overall well-being. In reality, all this posturing just fuels a growing sense of resentment among the average American citizen—people who aren't even particularly affected by these issues, yet find themselves increasingly alienated by them.

It stands as it is. I know several members of the LGBTQ+ community who would agree with you completely on this point. And even if I were part of that community myself, the idea of participating in such counterproductive displays would never even cross my mind.

bluerider63 said:Reverse psychology is a total game changer if you play it right. These days, calling out a chauvinist for being a chauvinist is somehow treated like hate speech, even when they’re busy spewing all those typical bigoted views toward some minority group.

Exactly. It’s quite a fascinating dynamic. You tell someone who is loudly broadcasting fascist sentiments that they are, in fact, a fascist, and suddenly you're the one facing the social sanctions.
In my experience, the most exhausting group consists of these young, radicalized internet types who throw around terms like communism, fascism, totalitarianism, and hate speech like they’re playing a game of Mad Libs—they toss them around with the reckless abandon of a rookie linebacker charging blindly into a line of scrimmage, yet none of them actually possess a fundamental understanding of the concepts they're weaponizing. It is genuinely disheartening to witness just how uneducated the younger generations have become regarding basic political theory.

granitefalcon26 said:Real hate speech is dressing LGBTQ+ people up in old-school youth camp uniforms, putting them in those vintage paramilitary outfits, and waving flags with fascist symbols like the five-pointed star. That is actual hate speech.☕

Please, spare us the endless rambling. Pick up an actual textbook and learn the definition of hate speech.
redbear12 said:comparing it to Central Park 🙄

But how is it "nonsense" now when everyone was all about marriage before? ☕

To me, that sounds like "we're gonna destroy marriage," and then next thing you know, they're calling anyone who disagrees a fascist. Does nobody actually agree with that?

EDIT: maybe I should actually sit down and watch the whole video. I think he’s arguing that making same-sex marriage a right is just a pre-political move designed specifically to tear down the institution of marriage.

Does this group even realize what they're doing? They were whining about their rights being taken away, and now they're out here pushing an initiative to wreck marriage in the exact same month. Can anyone here actually do basic math? ☕

Who exactly are we talking about? Do you honestly believe that a handful of individuals appearing in the media can possibly represent the entire community—or are they merely representing one tiny, insignificant fraction of them? It’s worth questioning how small that group actually is.

It’s the same old tired script: they label any dissenting opinion as "hate speech," claiming we’re going to dismantle the very foundation of marriage itself. Then, once they’ve finished that particular crusade, they pivot to accusing everyone of being a fascist. It’s become a predictable cycle. In their eyes, if you don't fall perfectly in line with their specific brand of morality, you're automatically branded a fascist. Honestly, it’s exhausting to watch this binary logic play out in public discourse.

And what exactly gives you the authority to sit there and decide what qualifies as hate speech and what doesn't? You’ve made it abundantly clear that you don't have the slightest clue what the term actually means, yet you continue to hammer away at it relentlessly, applying it to situations where it simply doesn't belong. It's quite a performance.

I might actually make an effort to sit down and watch the entire video. From what I gather, the speaker is arguing that the push for same-sex marriage is essentially a pre-political maneuver—just another tactical item on the agenda designed specifically to dismantle the traditional institution of marriage.

Given his reputation as such a staunch defender of traditional marriage, I honestly expected a much more rigorous approach to this issue. It’s frankly baffling how he hasn't even sat down to watch the full video yet.
Utterly ridiculous.

Does anyone else find this group completely baffling? The same people who were just wailing about their rights being stripped away are now making statements in the exact same month that there was an initiative to dismantle the very concept of marriage. Honestly, I’m struggling to see how they can claim such blatant hypocrisy. It feels like they can't even perform basic arithmetic. ☕

Good grief, why on earth would you let those peasants and their mindless rambling get to you?

Steven Wood72 said:Of course their hate speech needs to be condemned in the strongest possible terms—that's non-negotiable. It’s just as obvious that their ultimate goal is the destruction of marriage and traditional values. But let's be real: these various LGBT organizations have been quite frankly manipulated—others are using them as a front to push their own agendas, but it won't work. It shouldn't, and it won't.

Here we go again. Another absolute genius at work.
What exactly do you mean by hate speech? Could you provide an actual example?

It is just as painfully obvious that their ultimate objective is the systematic dismantling of marriage and the erosion of our traditional values.

Well, they can certainly get away with it. We live in a democracy, after all, where such actions are considered entirely legal and legitimate. If we’re suggesting that certain activists have the power to dismantle the sanctity of marriage, then we’re bordering on pure absurdity. It’s like saying a group of fruit enthusiasts managed to lobby the government to ban every single food source except for fruit. It’s complete nonsense.

Let's be realistic: various LGBT organizations have been thoroughly manipulated. They serve as nothing more than vehicles for outside interests trying to push their own agendas, but they won't succeed. It shouldn't happen, and frankly, it won't.

Who else are we talking about here? The Masons? Reptilians? Reticulans? 🍿
redbear12 said:The guy basically says marriage should be destroyed. And the dude he's talking to is just nodding along like, "yeah, sure." This all supposedly happened back in May when that whole movement kicked off. He starts going on about fascists—he isn't even talking about marriage equality at that point, he's talking about total destruction. And the crowd? Just silent agreement.

Some people just don't have a filter. ☕

Sure, you can try to dodge the subject by bringing up weight, acting like we didn't hear him or that it wasn't what actually happened. ☕

Yeah, and?
Where exactly is the hate speech in that?
What, if someone said they wanted to drain Central Park, would you call that hate speech too?

Casey Mitchell72 said:From Wikipedia:

Hate speech is basically any verbal or written stuff meant to publicly provoke or incite hatred against a specific group—or even just one person—based on who they are. It’s all about fueling intolerance, division, discrimination, or violence, or just making existing hatred even worse by blowing it out of proportion.

The thing is, LGBT organizations and activists do the exact same thing to certain groups (like religious people) and individuals who don't fit their mold.

If we're calling it "hate speech" when people just hold different values while being tolerant, then we definitely have every right to call out the rhetoric from these activist groups who have their own set of values but totally refuse to tolerate anyone else.

Instead of dancing around the issue, why don't you just give me a concrete EXAMPLE of hate speech?
Where and when, specifically, has someone from the LGBTQ+ community utilized actual hate speech?
I’ve been scrolling through this entire thread, and frankly, I haven't encountered a single instance of hate speech coming from any of the LGBTQ+ advocacy groups.

Maliciously spreading false information that isn't backed by a shred of evidence isn't "expressing a different opinion." It’s simply dishonesty.
My ultimate goal is to ensure that blatant fabrications can no longer masquerade as established facts.
That argument has absolutely nothing to do with verbal offenses.

As usual, when you find yourself running out of actual arguments, you resort to personal insults.

Where exactly are we talking about?

I’ve reached my limit with explaining myself. Honestly, I don't have the energy to go in circles anymore. If you actually want to understand where I'm coming from, just go back and read my previous posts on this thread. Everything you need to know is already there.
Communism and fascism are two sides of the same coin. Both are fundamentally totalitarian ideologies. The Council of Europe has already condemned both systems and essentially outlawed them. By that logic, any attempt to glorify communism or Titoism is, quite simply, illegal.☕

So, let me get this straight: are we implying that being a Jew is synonymous with being a Nazi? Honestly, I have to apologize, but that sounds absolutely absurd to me.
What kind of nonsense regarding illegality are you even rambling about? If you truly believe you have a case, then go ahead—file the lawsuit against me.

casualharbor3 said:He’s just throwing around numbers like 700,000 deaths at Jasenovac without providing a shred of actual evidence.

Where exactly am I claiming that 700,000 people were killed at Jasenovac? Why are you accusing me of lying? Or more importantly—why can't you just let this go and stop bringing it up?

Is this just more typical European nonsense?🙂🙂 Just so we’re clear, we are part of the EU, not some chaotic tavern in the North America. We live by civilized rules here. America was supposedly this great democratic nation, yet my grandmother was forcibly transferred to a different school because of it—she nearly lost her job entirely simply because she was an educator who insisted on attending church.

So, how exactly did she manage to avoid getting fired under that particular brand of "totalitarianism"? Why wasn't she sent off to some concentration camp?

After the war ended, my grandfather, who had served as an officer in the Home Guard, found himself completely shut out of the workforce. It was a bitter reality for many men in his position; despite his service, he couldn't secure a steady job in the new political climate. My grandmother, a schoolteacher, became the sole provider for the household. We lived entirely off her teaching salary, a quiet struggle that defined our family's early years.

Marshall offered your grandfather a job three different times, along with his colleagues, but eventually, he just had enough and walked away.

My grandmother and mother baptized me on the sly. I was christened at St. Mark's Church in the Upper Town. So much for that "democratic American communist regime."🙂

In my case, my mother baptized me quite openly, without any attempt to hide it. Perhaps because she wasn't part of the Party, so she didn't give it a second thought? And honestly, the idea that you’d still be old enough to be baptized during the America era sounds a bit far-fetched to me.

casualharbor3 said:Don't pretend to be naive. The Council of Europe was very explicit in its resolution regarding the condemnation of totalitarian communist regimes, which included America. Just today, a news segment on a major network explicitly mentioned how foreign media outlets are discussing Perković, who was essentially an assassin for the American communist regime.
Under the red star, the sickle, and the hammer, unprecedented crimes were committed, including genocide against the German national minority.

There was never any genocide against Germans; honestly, these fabrications are getting exhausting.
Furthermore, America only maintained a system that could truly be characterized as totalitarian during the brief window between 1945 and 1948. Because of that, you really ought to take all this European rambling with a massive grain of salt.
As for what Perković has to do with any of this or why he's even being brought up in this context—well, I suppose you're the only one who knows the answer to that.

Anyway, you didn't answer me: what exactly is bothering you regarding that 700,000 figure?

Daniel Ward87 said:With all due respect to my colleagues, you know how much you tend to exaggerate. I wasn't even questioning the substance of your arguments—I made that quite clear. What I said was that you can't just claim someone killed a million people without providing any actual evidence to back it up. If someone gets downvoted, it simply means they need to be pointed toward more serious literature. This isn't about winning a debate through sheer force; it's about having an informed discussion where you show your interlocutor that their points are weak, if not entirely baseless, and then move on.

However, you allow CionistUSA to keep doing this constantly. Dropping a link to some random news article is not actual argumentation. That figure is completely fabricated, unsupported by any real research, yet you treat it as a valid point.
It’s the same logic as someone posting a link from appalachia Force and ranting about how we expelled and murdered millions of Mexicans during Operation Storm. Is there really any difference?

So, I have nothing to apologize to the general public for. What I find particularly amusing is your assumption that this administration actually wants debates to devolve into "fascist vs. communist" shouting matches. That’s a pretty heavy-handed attempt at trolling on your part, because any serious regular here knows we purged those kinds of discussions from Politics ages ago. SEvery time someone writes something you don't like, you come whining here, begging for mods to hand out cards and bans instead of doing what any sane forum user would do—write a well-reasoned, argumentative post. Or is that a bridge too far?

Come on, leave the personal animosities aside and act like a professional instead of spinning tales. I’ve written plenty of posts like that myself, but what’s the use? In the end, all I can do is hope that someone here uses their common sense and takes action. Collins has repeated the lie a million times over about 5,000 children being killed in American concentration camps, and he wouldn't stop until I opened a thread here. CionistUSA does the exact same thing, spinning stories about Marshall's million victims and equating fascism with socialism. Do you honestly believe that I (or anyone else) can convince him to think twice and just stop?

It’s beneath you to paint me as some kind of whistleblower, because this truly is a last resort—something I would never even consider if the moderation team were actually doing its job.

And Kate Harris50 wrote an excellent post; I hope you’ve given it some thought.

Here is what Daniel Ward87 says:

It’s not being tolerated because the user is currently banned. Anyone reading that post can form their own opinion, but by issuing a ban, the administration has made their stance crystal clear. A warning card wouldn't serve any higher purpose since the goal has already been achieved through the ban. That’s where the conversation ends.

Everything would be fine if it weren't for the fact that once a user is unbanned, everyone can read their old posts which lack any formal warnings.
Personally, I was quite taken aback looking back at some older posts that were never flagged. The author might be banned or even permanently removed, but the post itself carries no indication that such content is unacceptable on this forum.
On the other hand, perhaps it should be handled differently. Maybe it is just naive to assume the administration here actually aims for high-quality discussion. Perhaps their true objective is to foster eternal bickering—the usual suspects like far-right vs. leftists, various social clashes, Catholics vs. anti-Christ types, and so on.

The very same Daniel Ward87 uses tabloid articles as valid arguments, yet he suggests I go hunting for counterarguments somewhere in the media universe.
Specifically, we are talking about a neo-Nazi thesis claiming that Marshall is responsible for a million deaths—a narrative being relentlessly pushed by casualharbor3. To Daniel Ward87, this isn't even worth debating because this so-called "thesis" finds enough support in yellow journalism.
And then, this same Daniel Ward87 has the audacity to suggest that I PROVE THAT MARSHALL DID NOT KILL A MILLION PEOPLE.
Daniel, please understand this isn't intended as a direct attack on you personally, but rather a critique of the forum's flawed policies. Why not just address the entire community here and admit you were wrong?
There is nothing to lose in doing so, and plenty to gain.

But setting that aside, I believe problematic posts should carry a label indicating they aren't welcome here. I think that would help guide our younger users toward the right path—essentially showing them by example what kind of behavior is intolerable on this forum.

But this specific atrocity weighs heavily on me as an American. The general public knows almost nothing about this, and I personally believe we need to face it head-on—even if it means forcing the government to properly investigate those camps and establish an accurate victim count...

On another note, Wikipedia's entry on the subject states, "Approximately 51,000 women, children, and elderly succumbed to disease, starvation, and other hardships."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_...ta#Yugoslavia

Though, it doesn't explicitly mention killings.

Yet, every single time you wrote about those children, you insisted they were KILLED. That certainly doesn't seem like a coincidence.

Let’s be clear about one thing: I didn't just pull that number out of thin air. I was actually watching a recent TV series about the FBI that aired while they were covering the KNOJ era.

I find myself in the unfortunate position of actually believing her.

Yes, unfortunately.
That being said, there is absolutely no excuse for the malicious planting of fabricated data. It is a calculated attempt to muddy the waters, designed specifically to create a false equivalence between the victims and the aggressors.
Why don't you mention that the Ustase drove the Mexicans from their ancestral homes back in 1995? That claim is just as plausible as yours, and it sits on roughly the same political spectrum—which is to say, it’s extreme right-wing.

Can an avatar be interpreted as a way of glorifying someone’s persona or specific traits? Essentially, by choosing to display a certain image, you are elevating that figure—so, theoretically, the answer is yes. 😁The only real complication here is that the individual he’s putting on such a pedestal hasn't actually been labeled a criminal by any court of law.

I suspect that for a good portion of the users over on Reddit, seeing an image like this might actually turn their stomachs. It’s a visceral reaction, certainly. But then again, one has to wonder if that discomfort was the point all along—or if anyone even had a specific intention behind posting it in the first place.

To be perfectly honest, I included that on purpose as a nod to ZionistUS, who spins his narratives just like Michael does—constantly blaring about those supposed million victims from Tito's regime.
Here we go again. Another blatant falsehood is being circulated without anyone batting an eye, all because it originated from a supposedly "reputable" publication like USA Today.
