Look, Ballac might not be at 100% health, but his conditioning is there, and if everyone else played with that kind of intensity, we wouldn't be struggling so much... Just imagine if every player on the court was playing at least 70% of their peak capacity...
Oh sure, defense... we can't get anything done without it. Honestly, ever since David joined the roster, things have actually started looking a little promising. I mean, let’s not forget how fired up he was last year—he was absolutely itching to take down the French team. But then again, he's also the guy who threw in that red card right when we might have actually had a shot at turning the game around...

The only way we pull this off is if Lac and Metličić absolutely lose their minds and break through the French defense, provided our backline and Alilović can just completely dismantle them first.
Even Balić isn't going to slice through the French side on his own. He’s got to let the rest of our guys step up and take some heat, just enough to draw the eyes away from him. Then, when his defenders are caught napping or looking the other way, he can find those gaps and drop his goals... surprise, surprise.
It’s the exact same thing I was getting at earlier regarding... how we might actually stand a chance at winning. There are three main pillars here. Lacković, Metličić; Alilović; and then there's BALIC.

All things considered, pulling anything off given how things are looking right now would be a miracle... maybe we actually stand a chance against the Americans... why? Because our bench is way deeper than theirs... if we can play them hard enough to wear them down, we might just pull away a few minutes before the buzzer... honestly, anything feels possible right now...
We need three specific things to go our way: 1. Alilovic, or really any keeper who can step up tomorrow and rack up more than 15 saves when it actually matters... 2. Balic playing like he did yesterday... those long-range shots were absolutely lethal... 3. Metlicic and Lackovic combining for about 10 goals between them...
If those three things happen, we’re looking at gold or silver... that's my final word on it...
Things are going to go down differently this time... It’s finally time to settle the score and collect on those old debts... and maybe this generation can actually grab that one gold trophy they've been missing
