The absolute, undeniable proof of existence is actually the doubt itself! Let me break that down for you; you have to actually exist in order to even question whether you do or not! hehehe 😁

The ego is nothing more than an illusion. It doesn't actually exist; it’s just a fabricated image you've constructed of yourself. Once you recognize that illusion for what it is, you stop entertaining it and simply move on, knowing it has no substance. There is no point in chasing it.

I could certainly offer a cliché response, but that serves neither of us. I could pretend to ignore the fact that the human mind functions through binary opposites—and that life isn't merely a game of contradictions—but I won't let you cling to the illusion that one can be "better" without being measured against something worse. That would be dishonest. Therefore, it is entirely valid to ask: "Better in relation to what?"

I would call this a desperate shot in the dark, as you haven't actually reached any meaningful conclusion here. I have stated, or at least strongly implied, on several occasions that a person is not merely an ego trapped in a physical shell. A human being and their environment are fundamentally inseparable.

"Helping someone on their spiritual journey" is pure New Age rhetoric. Perhaps if you play the fool long enough—as W. Blake so elegantly put it in "The fool who persists in his folly will become wise."—they might finally realize they manufactured their own crisis and that no one is coming to save them.

This forum isn't the place for such exercises, as a ban would follow almost immediately. However, I suspect there are plenty of "great teachers" out there capable of turning their students into absolute idiots, simply because some people clearly need to learn that there is nothing left to learn.

Focus on your breathing. This will pass.

But what about everything else? Just the ego? What about the actual world around us? What about existence itself?... does any of that even exist either?

What hurts Gannon the most is how we all recoil from his gentle touch.
It will pay off for you professionally, 100%.
Take my word for it.

What soul? - I'll tell you what, it's just one idea after another!

"...If you truly were who you claim to be—which, let's face it, always is what it is—then you wouldn't..."
Fortunately, my heart is capable of grasping it, if only for a fleeting moment.
Gannon reflects itself through everything and everyone you encounter...
Blessed is the soul who can even catch a mere hint of that.
Those are the moments I live for.
I have nothing "new" to tell you.

Though, perhaps I do;
...you see, for me, every ancient idea or attempt to "portray" or witness what I've described is a source of endless inspiration.
I never tire of reading and contemplating poetry written from the heart.
Even a poem I've read a hundred times over still inspires me in a way that feels entirely fresh and unrepeatable.
Every new one stirs me anew, even if the "stirring" itself is always the same.
Anyone who gifts me such a thing is a brother or sister to me through Gannon.
I honestly pity your indifference toward it.
How painful it must be to abandon your world once you think you've "read" it.

I am not judging your agitation regarding what I am writing.

while there's someone out there willing to carry it, it's definitely going to be too heavy and massive!
the whole point is self-delusion, not trying to control or direct things.
just forget about yourself and suddenly you've got the muscles of Hercules, hahaha😁

and the poet's job is just to sing songs, hahaha....it's only when you try to turn the singing of those little verses into some kind of universal law that you run into problems... some kind of rebellion or whatever.

'indifference' is actually bliss... you just don't realize it yet.

singing songs is really just a specific way of avoiding loneliness and emptiness, which is naturally what you are... but we can talk about that later😁

Charles White11 said:And who exactly is talking about sentimentality?
What does the Heart have to do with being sentimental?
One might say quite simply: it is a natural state—one that transcends mere sentimentality.
The Gannon that is difficult to speak of—where words fail you in that very moment...
The Gannon that fills you and connects you to everything, my confused friend.

Ashik threw out a few lines that hint at this somewhat (poetry is merely an attempt to portrait the Gannon).

P.S. I'm not being sarcastic; I truly wish you nothing but the best.

So where is this "deep connection" of yours now?
If you were actually who you claim to be—if things were constant instead of this whole cycle of being something and then not being it...
You’re just latching onto certain outward expressions, basically reducing your entire identity to passing emotional impulses and calling them your true nature... look, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, just enjoy it your own way! But don't try to sell it to me as some ultimate, absolute truth...

How is this supposed to connect me to your little "deep feeling"? It’s just another idea built on the assumption that things can be separated or that there's some distinct part of us all standing alone... basically, I have zero interest in these "new" ideas that are actually ancient... so why don't you tell me something original for once, something you haven't already heard from everyone else?! 🙄

It isn't about having some "choice" in the sense of... hold on, why should I act this way? That's not it.
Compassion and actually finding joy in the world around you? That stuff just flows.
Look, let me put it this way: that gut instinct to embrace everyone you meet on this weird, mysterious journey of "discovery"—that's the real sign. It means your heart is open and you're heading in the right direction. Everything else is just noise.

By the way; watching these two users interact is actually pretty great. Unfortunately (and I guess that's just how the low-rent side of this world works), there's always someone who can't handle it, someone who eventually comes along and ruins the whole vibe.
God knows why.

Sentimental one-sidedness isn't some movement for "those with open hearts"!

Furthermore; the compassion of "those with open hearts" (you know, those supposedly enlightened beings, purely as a conceptual idea) is actually the realization that nobody needs compassion at all! — well... as for being "wowed," that was already covered by my previous point.

The "right path" is nothing more than an idea! The right path is actually limitation and a lack of freedom.
And as for the "mindless chatter"; that's a perfectly valid and practical tool used to tear down these kinds of half-baked ideas.

If you actually enjoy their poetic nonsense (their little bowl of soup), then fine, whatever... go ahead and indulge while you can... but it won't last long, because as you can see, someone is already back to shitting in the soup again, hehehe...🙄 😁

Look, if even a tiny group of them actually used their heads—if they could just pause for a second and feel the level of understanding, respect, and the genuine hunger for a deeper, stronger connection that we have right here—they would actually have something to learn. They might finally realize where they're headed.
But nope, not a chance!

hehehehe....it's like that old saying: 'thank God we aren't like those people'...😁

Ugh, just wait until those feelings hit you... you really need to realize you're sitting on a freaking seesaw, swinging back and forth... but when you finally land on that side you never wanted to be on, where you're essentially calling your own kind... just call it a time out. Basically, just stay quiet for a while because, man, it’ll be a massive embarrassment to talk about love when you clearly don't even possess it, hehehe 😁 ... just learn how to be who you actually are so your actions actually match your words... even if you're doing "good" things just out of pure self-interest (which is really just a different way of loving what benefits you), at least you're following your own nature.

And one last question for the road; why bother doing good in the first place? 🙄 😁

That sense of emptiness only exists before and after the wave hits. I find it difficult to accept the notion that there is nothing left to find.
Is it perhaps just a poor heart with nothing left to fill?

Look, I don't feel empty just because I've had a huge Thanksgiving dinner, haha... but then again, we both know that anything that gets filled up eventually has to be emptied out too. When it comes to feelings, it's no different, but are you even realizing how fleeting they actually are? Like, how they constantly shift? Everything we're talking about here—or rather, what we're pointing toward—is something that emotions can't even touch, they don't even graze it...

So first things first, you need to ask yourself one simple question: WHO AM I??? Once you do that, then maybe you'll see what's actually waiting for you! 😁

I can't believe I'm even sitting here typing this out, but honestly, someone has to say it... because apparently, nobody else in this entire country has the guts to call out this absolute nonsense when they see it happening right in front of their faces! It’s like we’re all just collectively deciding to ignore common sense and pretend everything is perfectly fine while the whole system just grinds to a halt... it’s infuriating, really, if you actually take a second to think about it instead of just blindly following whatever latest trend is being shoved down our throats by people who wouldn't know hard work if it hit them in the face! And don't even get me started on what slydriver17 was saying earlier, because that was just a complete waste of breath and frankly, a little insulting to anyone with half a brain cell left...

slydriver17 said:What can I even say to you? You are perceiving this concept of balance through a negative lens. Once you realize that life itself is nothing but the relationship between an inhale and an exhale, you begin to actually appreciate that... balance.😬
"Balance" is just a word. Whether you are the President of the United States or a sanitation worker in the same country, everyone is interconnected. Those at the top rely on those at the bottom, and how much a leader understands that dependency will determine how good a ruler they become. But, given how much of a mess the world is right now, at least we'll have some spectacular fireworks to watch while it all goes down.😬
People kill just to feel alive. When you crush someone else, you feel stronger (and I am referring to certain types of people here; let’s not overgeneralize, and certainly not myself.😬 Personally, I find it shameful to hurt anyone😳). They do it because it is the only way they can force a reaction out of someone else. In that way, people grant them a sense of purpose simply by fearing them. That fear seeks to expand, and so on and so forth. If you somehow learn how to love throughout your life, you will become a much more tranquil person. I am speaking about an internal state of being. Because that is the only way you can truly hear what your heart is demanding.😍

Just look at this with your heart—which is the whole point here—and everything else will just vanish in an instant!

Though, I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with saying "my" love for "my" mother.
It is sincere and selfless, much like hers was to me!
People often try to scare us with the specter of duality (especially lately with all this esoteric nonsense floating around), but I don't experience it as anything negative.
Ultimately, I am the one who decides which path to take.
A path can be good, or it can be bad—the decision and the responsibility lie solely with me.
That’s really the whole point; if it weren't this way, life would lose all its meaning. If there were no free will inspired by the heart, there would be no longing, and without longing in our chests... well, how poor a mother would be to her friend. People often call that state of emptiness the "dark night of the soul"—it's the reason people jump out of windows or turn to pills.
It is a very thin line....
Anyone who has taken a serious look down that road will know exactly what I'm talking about.

I’m probably letting you down here—though maybe that’s for the best—when I say that neither her love nor yours was ever truly selfless or pure; they were both just acting for their own sake, plain and simple...

What kind of heart is it that has no one left to love?

Well, go ahead and say it now, or wait until the very end... just see what's left of you then!?

Ugh, anyone can throw around fancy little phrases and sound deep... but if you don't get it, you just don't get it; while mine and yours are still here, there is no such thing as "love"! — recognizing others within yourself and finding yourself in others is the only real way to love! — but when you get to that point, all that talk of mine... me and all that nonsense just disappears... 😁

Charles White11 said:Fine! We’ve established that—so where does that leave us?!
Is that really all there is to say about the Heart?
I have a feeling there’s a bit more depth to uncover here....

Talking about it this way feels a lot like trying to describe my own mother using dictionary definitions; saying things like, "A mother is a female-synonym for a being that gives birth, who is a partner-synonym for a spouse..." To me, my mother is so much more than a collection of labels. When I think of her, I don't think of definitions; I remember the warmth in her eyes and the gentle tone of her voice, which held nothing but pure love. And you know what the hardest part of telling you this is? The realization that I never managed to give even a tiny fraction of that love back to her. When that thought hits me, I feel a tightness in my chest and my eyes well up with tears.

PS. I actually quite like that phrase... "down to the deepest sleep."

to me.. my ...that's exactly what the poet was getting at, haha😁

Does this show up in other spiritual paths besides Christianity? Like, was Jesus the only one to ever experience resurrection, or is there more to the story?
I used to think the whole "resurrected body" thing was just total nonsense—childish stuff, really—but now I'm just spinning my wheels trying to make sense of the doctrine. Is there any connection to that bacterium discovery by Dr. Radman that everyone was buzzing about in the news and seeing all over the headlines lately?
Why is this stuck in my head like this?
Thanks for jumping in on this! Everyone is welcome to join the conversation!

bodies are resurrecting... in a sort of secondary beat, every single day... consciousness is constantly re-embodying itself, taking shape over and over... The real question hanging over all of this is; who am I? Am I truly, actually this defined, separate little individual? 🙄 😁 ...I mean, do I even exist at all? 🙄
