redrider63 said:I am BEGGING you, PARSIFALA and ambereagle642, please just dig a little deeper into the work and pull out some more stuff, specifically those parts where
she tries to experience Selfhood—and I mean the parts that, in your own OPINION, are the most absolutely mind-bending...

because based on what I've been reading here, Truth itself is basically the ultimate MASTER CANDIDATE

since there’s way too much GOAL-ORIENTATION and lecturing going on

when it’s precisely that kind of RAWNESS and deviation

that you just don't find

Look, that could just be your intellectual bias or whatever opinion you're holding onto. You're judging her by your own standards, while I'm judging her by mine.
But if these non-Christian Advaita pages included her as an example of someone who actually 'finished the job,' then there has to be something genuine in there, right?
I mean, nobody who hasn't actually lived THAT can—not even someone who truly Is—describe it the way she did.
And whether or not someone wants to nitpick her grammar or complain about where she missed a comma or a period is entirely up to them, I guess...

So, Jane, I'm asking you one more time;
give me an example—and please, anything other than these repetitive points of yours—who, in your eyes, has actually 'finished the job'!?
John, look, I’m not out here trying to point fingers or hunt for someone to blame, I’m just stating what’s right in front of me;

It’s honestly not even you I see anymore, John—it’s more like God manifesting through this temporary shell called John, constantly deciding, right here and right now, to act like some "ENLIGHTENED ARROGANT FOOL" just to mess with people and indulge in this twisted, all-loving sort of spite... And yet, despite all that, I love you, I really do....

The language of the SPIRIT is nothing but pure paradox, which is why everything feels so contradictory and disconnected to everyone else. But I guess that’s just how it works for those clever, interconnected schemers out there... I love you....

😁 🙂

Honestly, if someone wants to go around cutting people down, let 'em! I don't give a damn! 🙄

you actually know how to write clearly without all the weird twisting and turning or using those bizarre made-up words for once...
so how on earth did you manage to pull this off so well—or should I say, how do you manage to be so vague, obnoxious, and completely incoherent in 9 out of 10 of your posts compared to right here?
have you been practicing this lately or something?🙂
it’s just like how you love to charm that lady Divanis, but you won't do it for any of the rest of us...
but you won't, because god knows what kind of demon is driving you...😈
you're constantly putting up a fight against everyone...😁
👋

Well, my dear angry man, after I sat here and chewed over this little quote of yours just so I could give you a response straight from another thread;

May everyone get a double dose of whatever sickness they're suffering from!

I can tell you actually know your stuff when it comes to Buddhist doctrine. I just really hope you don't get stuck dwelling on the conceptual definitions of everything, because those are just words on a page—which, if you're paying attention, are miles and miles away from the actual, unspeakable truth where everything just *is*, regardless of all these little guiding concepts that aren't even permanent things themselves, they just exist...

Svjetlosna said:Thank God, I’ve finally shaken off all that suffering! I’ve surrendered myself to joy... honestly, it’s a much better way to live!🙂 🙂 🙂

You’re just drifting!
Just because you think you’ve landed on the "joy" side of things right now doesn't mean you're going to stay there forever...

Let me break this down for you;
any individual who experiences joy under certain circumstances is inevitably going to feel pain too, because that's just how it works. As long as there is still SOMEONE out there—someone who chooses to lean into one or the other, someone who actually has the capacity to choose—then both possibilities are always going to be part of the game.
As long as life exists—and let's face it, life is eternal—there’s going to be suffering.
The only real way out of this whole mess is the disappearance of the SUFFERERS themselves... basically, the end of any subject capable of feeling the relationship between joy and pain.
Once that happens, everything left over is just life existing exactly as it is, purely by itself...

Joseph Davis5 said:Look, according to Buddhism—specifically those Yogic practitioners who follow the Yogic tradition where everything is just a projection of the mind—every single thing we experience is just a reflection of our own consciousness, including this whole concept of a "self." It’s exactly like you were saying, it's just this endless, constant loop of the ego regenerating itself, creating this illusion of being a distinct entity with a sense of continuity while simultaneously carving out a separate existence from the world around us. To be more precise, the mind basically splits everything apart into subject and object, which triggers this whole antagonistic "Me versus Them" dynamic that ultimately leads to nothing but suffering in its
finality. So, in a way, we're just labeling our own subjective perception as the 'real world,' even though the ego itself is just part of that same illusion.

Alright, fine, I get all that you're laying out here... but then I'm left scratching my head over the whole concept of karma and reincarnation, because if there isn't actually anyone there to be subject to those laws or carry the weight of them, then the whole thing just falls apart...

Joseph Davis5 said:In Buddhism, everything boils down to three fundamental marks of existence:
1. Impermanence, because nothing stays the same for a second...
2. Suffering, or dukkha...
3. Non-self...
Because there's no permanent self, you can't point to any lasting entity—any single Individual—that just cruises through life, transcends, or reincarnates without changing completely.
So, according to Buddhist thought, you'll never find some independent, standalone entity just sitting there on its own...

And when it comes to how limited our concepts really are, it’s pretty obvious. All these teachings and concepts? They're just tools, not the actual destination. It's like those old analogies about pointing at the moon or ditching a raft once you've finally made it to the other shore, but until then...

Do you honestly think the SELF is actually aware of some distinct, separate existence, or is it just this massive, self-reflective mirage where we've basically hallucinated an identity based on being totally blinded by this manufactured sense of separation?

Joseph Davis5 said:The whole idea of the five skandhas shows up right from the very first Buddhist discourse, the Dharmachakra Pravartana Sutra, and it’s all over the early Buddhist Pali Canon, whereas this Storehouse consciousness stuff didn't even show up until the Yogacara school emerged around the 4th century...

Yeah, real profound;

THE CONCEPT

.... and there's absolutely nothing else worth mentioning in that whole mess...

Go ahead then, "find" me that specific Individual who's supposedly being reborn...

parsifal said:Have you guys noticed this one incredibly telling inconsistency within Christianity?

Every single Christian church and denomination is totally unified when it comes to bashing any kind of "guru"—and let’s be real, a guru is just a teacher, while the literal translation implies someone spreading darkness.

The whole faith completely ignores and refuses to value the Teacher-Student relationship, which is actually vital if an individual wants any real spiritual growth...

Instead, everything just boils down to mass appeal; Christian initiations—like baptism, communion, or confirmation—are just cookie-cutter, mechanical rituals that don't reflect actual spiritual progress at all...

****
So basically...

Notice how modern Christianity has completely alienated itself from and stopped practicing the Student-Teacher dynamic, you know, that intimate spiritual guidance...

Even though the very foundation of the faith was built on that exact model—the story of Jesus and his twelve disciples is the textbook example...

A guru and his students.😉

Man, if I actually knew what I was supposed to be learning, maybe I’d even need a teacher... but who is anyone to teach anyone else or clutter up their heads? One person tells me where to go, another tells me where to stay... and why should anyone else know things I don't... and honestly, who even wants to know anything anyway? It's all just concepts, nonsense, total stupidity... it's just a game, a never-ending, never-starting, never-finishing little game, a pointless little play without any boundaries... I'll just head out into the woods like Thoreau without any paperwork and have some good thinking time, and I'll be sure to send my thanks to all those mighty, powerful gurus...🙂 🙂 🙂

But honestly, we don't even have a clue who—or what—actually flips the switch on us every single morning

Like, what is the actual source of our existence? What is the origin of this consciousness we're stuck with?

That’s exactly where the power and the curse of God—or humanity, if you want to look at it that way—intersect; we know that we exist, but we have absolutely no idea what "we" actually are... we're like an eye that can see everything in the universe except itself.
It actually makes perfect sense when you think about it, because if you consider the Absolute Battle, there’s nothing outside of it to serve as a yardstick, nothing else to measure itself against, like some other hypothetical Battle existing out there...
Everything that tries to understand itself (or thinks it does) isn't the absolute truth, it's just a shadow, a mere reflection of the absolute acting out this blurry, messy mystery of its own desperate hunger for self-knowledge.
And honestly, the wildest part about this whole nonsensical existence is that there isn't even a beginning or an end to any of it...
