Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I think I'll just head out and hunt for some nuggets then! 🤷

Ugh, PMS is hitting me hard (yeah, birth control madness 🤣) while I'm on my latest batch of light brown pills (I take Triquilar, which comes in three different colors). I used to think I was just imagining things, but honestly, these last few days I’ve been so sensitive—I'm basically an emotional wreck, getting super annoyed or bursting into tears over the tiniest little things

Man, these hormones are no joke 😁

Hey, just check the tablet instructions! I'm pretty sure there's a section in there about it (like switching over from other tablets). At least mine does!
Vaccination scars: anyone else have them? in Health ·
I’ve actually got two scars 😁

One is from when I was just a tiny baby (back in the 😁'85 class!) and the other is from middle school. Remember those reflex tests they used to do? Yeah, back in 7th grade, I got poked again. It hurt so bad! Honestly, having an open wound there is just the worst—ugh, even thinking about it makes me wince. Luckily, the scars are barely even there. The baby one is super faint unless you're really looking for it, but this newer one shows up a little more

First time since starting the pill that my period has been super painful 😢 It feels like a slow buildup toward my non-pill days (which, honestly, were way worse 😁), and I’m just not vibing with it... Not sure what’s causing the shift, though. So glad I have an appointment coming up soon so I can finally vent about it all! 😁

So I went to see that old guy (who’s totally retired now) and honestly, he was a total genius! 👍
He gave me my first pill and ran some bloodwork. Every single year when I went back for a refill, he’d just do my blood tests and an ultrasound without me even asking. It didn't matter that he was older; he was seriously amazing. A friend of mine actually managed to have a successful pregnancy with him after a private doctor totally failed her. Seriously, don't judge by looks or age—he was so easy to talk to!

Regarding liver function tests, it feels like hardly any doctors actually offer them... And after all these years on the pill, I’d really love to just get everything checked once and for all...

Since our second option is just some woman who’s even worse and didn't even bother sharing her recipe 🙂
Or maybe there's a third choice, but that doctor changes all the time (not sure if someone actually stayed on permanently now)

Anyway, I'm sticking with the same doc as the little girl, and if they won't give me anything for bloodwork or an ultrasound (since my family history definitely warrants it), then I'm just heading to a private clinic. There's this amazing guy in town everyone raves about, so it's about time I go see him too! 😬

Hey, I'm sending you a PM about that blood work question! 😉

My man doesn't even care when I show up, he never asks where I am in my cycle 🤷. Honestly, it's kind of a vibe
!

Honestly, I don't think it matters where you are in your cycle; at least my doctor never gave me any specific timing on when to come in!

There are absolutely zero productive days when you're on the pill
Wait, don't you still have that old recipe you used to make like three months ago?
I'm basically like a little squirrel, I save every single recipe I find! 😁
I’m not totally sure if taking activated charcoal 2 or 3 hours before my pill actually makes it work. I remember reading somewhere in the instructions—I think they usually say you need extra protection for the whole month after doing that. I took the charcoal around 6 PM and then the pill at 11 PM... but honestly, I was still super stressed about it

I'm heading over to see that unnamed doctor at the downtown plaza 🙂

My wife had an amazing experience—she explained everything so clearly, was super patient, and really knows her stuff. Plus, her sister is awesome. Highly recommend! 👍

As for what the checkup cost, I think my last one was around $83, but let me double-check the receipt when I get home.
Otherwise, I've also been looking for someone I can visit regularly, and I'm really happy with her!

Yeah, that's exactly why I asked! I can't just swap the names out, otherwise we'd end up with two different services sharing the same title, which would be super confusing.

Maybe they could tweak the payment assistant a bit, especially since they're moving everyone over anyway. 🤷

So, does the current Optimum and the modern P.A. actually have the same options available?

The app told the guy he was making the transfer on Dec 19th, which is basically tomorrow. It should clear super fast if they're both using Chase or something! 🤷

Ugh, I just realized way too late that I need to renew my E-ZPass and pay up if I want to drive around without any issues! 😬
I finally sent the payment tonight, and I’m planning on using the toll roads this Sunday. What are the odds the funds actually clear by then? 😢
I’m guessing it’s pretty slim, but hey, is there any hope? 🙂

Oh wait, I just noticed—it's an internal transfer from Bank of America to Bank of America. Does that give me a better shot?

No balls, no fertilizing 😁
If you're taking your pills correctly, I honestly don't see any reason to freak out

So when you're on the pill and don't have fertile days... you're basically protected for all 28 days of your cycle!
