Quick question here... I’ve already cleared a few garnishments from PBS regarding my old bills. I haven't been paying much this year, so I gave them a call to see where I stand on my balance. One of the ladies there was actually pretty nice, but she mentioned I still owe for three months back in 2008 and six months from 2009, and apparently, that debt is sitting with some law firm. Now, the thing is, that same firm already sent me a garnishment notice back in 2012 which I paid off, so I have no idea why these charges from '08 and '09 weren't flagged sooner. I keep trying to get a hold of them, but their line is constantly busy. I guess I'm wondering if the statute of limitations might have kicked in, or if they're just dragging their feet and it'll eventually hit me later on? I feel like if I call them right now and ask about it, I'll just be reminding them to send the bill faster, which feels kind of counterproductive. Thanks 🙂
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that everything is working fine now. I ended up re-burning everything using Microsoft burning studio 9. The first time I tried it with Nero, I clearly messed up some setting or pressed the wrong button or something.
Thanks, everyone. I did a little digging online and actually managed to find something useful. I stumbled upon a program that converts MP3 files directly into audio CD format. I’m going to try running it at the office today to see if it actually works. If it's a bust, I guess I'll be back here bugging you all again.
It wasn't actually a radio. It was this massive 5-foot tall tower thing, and it had the whole PA system for the entire building on it along with a million other gadgets and buttons. I guess it could play CDs too, though I have no clue what format it uses.
Hey everyone, I am a total tech novice, but I’ve somehow landed myself the task of burning some CDs for work. Everything would be a breeze if our office equipment wasn't such a prehistoric relic that refuses to play MP3s. So now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to convert all these songs into a different format—but which one, exactly? And more importantly, what on earth is the best way to actually do the conversion???
I'm really hoping I can find a kind soul here who might be able to walk me through this. Also, please forgive me if this topic has already been covered; I'm pretty sure it has, I just can't seem to track it down.

So, I’m probably going to start biking to work this coming Monday, mostly because I’m switching up my office location tomorrow and I really need to scout out where I can actually leave my bike without any issues. The commute goes from Gajnica over to Ban Jelačić Square. Does anyone know how long that route usually takes? And I guess, if I had to choose, would it be better to stick to the Ilica tram line or just take the Đura Deželić Approach?
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The shows back in '98 and 2000 were absolutely insane and totally unforgettable, but yesterday... I don't even know how to put it. It felt like the energy was just completely watered down. Maybe I’ve just outgrown this kind of music 🤷.

(there could be a few reasons here. Maybe it's ignorance, or maybe they just don't care, or perhaps they're getting kickbacks from pharmaceutical reps. And yeah, that definitely happens, no doubt about it.)
That’s basically my situation. Before I got pregnant, I was on Triqilar and I was actually really happy with them. But then I switched doctors, and when I wanted to go back to Triqilar after my pregnancy, my OB-GYN told me they don't even prescribe T. anymore and handed me Yasmin instead. To be fair, Y. is fine; I tolerate it well and haven't had any issues—in fact, I think it might have even helped with some of the side effects from my hypothyroidism, though that's just my own take, not something the doctor said. It wasn't until later that I found out my doctor refuses to prescribe T. because she gets a commission for pushing Y.

So, during my second pregnancy, I had this whole crazy situation where my period was already two weeks late, yet the first test I took came back negative. I figured maybe I just jumped the gun, so I grabbed another one a few days later, but that one was also negative too. It wasn't until I finally took a third test—about 20 days after my period should have started—that it actually turned up positive.
If we’re actually supposed to believe everything she posts on this forum, she’ll probably be walking down the aisle by tomorrow morning. I guess it might be a bit much to wish her a happy marriage, but I truly hope her baby grows up to have a long, healthy life. Honestly, I just really hope her partner turns out to be a whole lot smarter and more responsible than she is.
I'm looking for some recommendations for a gynecologist covered by Medicare. Honestly, I don't care if they're male or female, and it doesn't matter which part of town they're in. The main thing is that they’re actually decent—someone you can actually talk to who isn't going to brush you off—and, most importantly, that they're actually accepting new patients. I've already tried calling a bunch of offices, but it seems like every single one is completely maxed out.
My current doctor is an absolute disaster; I only stuck with her because I was pregnant at the time. But now that I'm dealing with some actual health issues, I really need to find a normal professional—someone who won't insult their patients, will actually listen, and respects what you have to say.
