Hi everyone! A colleague of mine is currently dealing with a Swiss Franc loan. He’s already joined AARP, his paperwork is all in order, and everything is straightforward on his end—it's a very clean situation. Right now, he's just looking for a solid lawyer recommendation. Does anyone have someone they can suggest? Feel free to shoot me a DM.
Yeah, those links are dead, but I think I see what’s going on here, and I’m on the same page as Joseph. If you can actually produce some proof that shows otherwise, then I'll be the first one to step up and issue a warning.
Look, Sophia Scott5, when every single bit of information someone shares immediately triggers a wave of insults and belittlement, I think it’s time to step in. Personally, I find this topic really interesting, but I have to sift through ten useless posts just to find one quality contribution. Either issue a warning or start deleting those posts.
Hmm, I’m also in the middle of trying to leverage some credit right now, but I’m honestly starting to lose steam. I have a home savings plan set up, and my idea was to pull out an interim loan through Charles Schwab. I gave them a call today, and the representative told me a standard loan isn't an option since my contract hasn't matured yet—only this interim bridge loan is on the table. It would require a $3,000 down payment. What feels completely nonsensical to me, though, is that I can't actually get that money back. Instead, it just gets applied toward the principal of the loan. Personally, I’d much rather have that cash back in hand because I was planning on lending it out to someone else. And obviously, I'd have to pay them back. Between those repayments and the scheduled payments on the savings contract, I am genuinely lost. Like, I truly have no clue how this works.
Hey there! I'm looking to pick up a new 23" monitor, mainly to use for gaming and watching movies. I've had a few people suggest either the Dell U2312HM or the ASUS ML239H. My budget is around $500. If you guys have a third option in mind that fits the bill, I'm all ears. Thanks!

That is exactly what I’ve been hunting for all day. Thanks!
Yeah, it looks sunny for now, but I get the feeling the track is still pretty damp. Honestly, I hope it rains a bit—I just want to make sure the sky clears up. I really don't feel like sitting around waiting forever like we did at the Canadian Grand Prix last year. That was just a complete waste of time.
Kimi mentioned he made a mistake during his flying lap, so maybe the warmer track temperatures weren't actually the issue after all. We'll find out for sure today. I'm really hoping he can at least snag a spot on the podium.
Does anyone happen to know how much time it usually takes to switch from a dry setup over to a wet one? Kimi looked incredibly sharp during Q1 and Q2, and his pace in the free practice sessions was solid too, but he just didn't seem to find that extra gear we were all expecting in Q3. He shaved off about two-tenths, which isn't nothing, but if he managed that on mediums during Q2, then switching to softs didn't really yield the kind of improvement you'd want to see. I’m really hoping they made the call to pivot to a rain setup, but I’m a little worried there might not be enough time to pull that off between Q2 and Q3.
I was really rooting for Kimi to grab a higher spot today because he’s been looking genuinely fast all weekend. Maybe we'll see him on the podium tomorrow at least. Also, can we talk about those commentators? Honestly, they were absolutely terrible!

Kimi seemed to have a solid pace during the practice sessions when things were a bit cooler than they are this afternoon. If we're looking for why his speed dropped off, we should probably be looking at other factors instead.
Wait, so you're saying the heat is the only thing bothering him???
Does anyone happen to know if it's possible to slightly bend those arrows in Microsoft Word? I'm looking for a double-headed arrow, but I don't want it to be perfectly straight. I need to be able to give it a bit of a curve.
What’s so funny about that? Even Mexico could host a Formula 1 race if all the right pieces fell into place (which won't happen, obviously, but theoretically speaking, it's possible).
I’ve heard great things about Apple—apparently, they have zero tolerance for a dead pixel. So, I should be getting a 20-inch Apple monitor delivered sometime in the next few days. As for this Sony... I’m honestly not sure what I’m going to do with it. 🤷
Quick update: I just tried what darkowl72 suggested, but no luck—it didn't work. I also swung by the General Electric service center, but they won't touch it because the dead pixel isn't centered; apparently, since it's off to the side, it doesn't qualify for a replacement. Basically, it's just a total piece of junk. Now I'm honestly at a loss. I’ll probably end up tossing it out with the bulk trash because that little dot is driving me absolutely insane; I can't even look at the screen without noticing it. I've already wasted time running those various pixel-fixer programs, but nothing helped. One last thing: Sony isn't even getting through my front door anymore. After this experience with this monitor, they're officially dead to me.
So, I tried applying a bit of pressure, but it didn't really do anything. From what I've gathered online, this is just supposed to be a single stuck pixel, which apparently falls within the acceptable range 😕 Does anyone know how the process works if I want to swap this out for a different model? I'm worried they won't honor the warranty for an exchange. I still have the original box, though I don't have the protective plastic wraps that came inside.
Update: I noticed that when I press on that specific spot, the pixel does disappear for a split second, but then it pops right back. Honestly, I'm a little nervous to press any harder for fear of actually cracking the screen. Any advice on what my next move should be?
