From what I gather, PayPal only plays nice with Visa and Visa electron.
Correct me if I've got that wrong, though.
I've got a Visa Prepaid Refresh card linked to my PayPal. But I don't actually receive payments through it—only transfers from my own checking account—so I'm not really sure what people mean when they say it's "supported."
You can spend the whole amount without worrying about any hidden fees or extra nonsense. They’ll just shoot you a message once your card expires so you know to swing by and grab a new one.

I guess they assume that since I’m on strict bed rest and pregnant, I should have already put on like 90 pounds, yet I’m actually still 10 pounds lighter than when I first found out.
It seems like they aren't happy whether we gain weight or stay thin.
And honestly, I never used to deal with any menstrual cramps; I genuinely have no idea what that feels like. No PMS, nothing—just normal days. I suppose that’s why all this pain is hitting me so hard now.
Maybe... but just maybe, people take that as a compliment. 😉 Look, don't get me wrong—you're doing an incredible job with this pregnancy, really. But let's be real here: you didn't just get a little bump, you went full-on heavy-duty. It’s like someone swapped out your midsection for a literal beach ball overnight. 🤷
Chloe Mendoza2 said:I’m pretty sure Pink didn't mean that quite so literally, but you have to admit it sounds incredibly harsh when someone says: I don't want to be the first face a baby sees when they wake up ☕
I don't get it—who else is there to see? 😕
Babies are just so helpless. Isn't the whole point of having them to enjoy them, to cuddle them, to kiss them senseless, and to wake up 1,246,776 times throughout the night?
Besides, this forum exists so we can vent to one another, find some common ground, and remind ourselves that one day, things will actually get easier 😍
And now, I'll head back over to the off-topic thread 😁
Look, everything you said is valid. But by that logic, people who put their kids in a separate room shouldn't even be parents. If I'm gonna be blunt—and I guess I am—families with five kids crammed into a tiny apartment in Chicago, sleeping in one room because they have no choice, are a lot more likely to need birth control than some couple with a massive house where the kids have their own wings.
My son slept in my bed until he was three. Look, I’m not claiming that makes me a saint or some kind of parenting guru compared to everyone else. I’m not one of those people who thinks there's only one way to live life—I'm pretty open to the fact that people can do things their own way if they want to. My youngest? He gets nursed around 8 PM, tucked into his crib, and I don't hear a peep from him until well after 1 AM. Once we got into that rhythm, my husband and I actually started hitting up the movies or catching a concert together. If doing things on my own terms makes me a "bad mom," then fine. Whatever. 🤷 It just strikes me as incredibly stupid to suggest that if you don't follow a specific script, you shouldn't be a parent in the first place.
Selling a car seat. Honestly, I just don't want my kid staring at me while I'm behind the wheel. ☕ Even if they fall asleep mid-trip, whatever... I’ll just hold them in my lap.
Samuel Ross60 said:But what happens if the kid wakes up before I do, just lying there staring at me while I'm still dead to the world? And what if they walk away thinking their dad is their mom simply because they were the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes?

You aren't planning on delegating husband duties to the kids, are you? What are you, a wife or a mother?
Samuel Ross60 said:I’m right there with you, weeping as well! Though if you think I’m crying out of sorrow, you couldn't be more mistaken; this is pure joy, a genuine epiphany! I’ve finally come to realize that I am one of those people who simply isn't meant to have children.
And honestly, there is something else weighing on my mind—my partner and I are living in sin, and I find myself wondering how on earth we would ever explain to a child that they were born before the wedding ceremony even took place.

Just let the baby sleep with you. You don't need to say a word. They'll figure it out. You'll be so in sync that one look will tell you everything you need to know.
Look, here’s the cold, hard truth: before my first kid arrived, I was convinced that moms who co-sleep—you know, the ones who swear by it and think it’s the best thing ever—were completely out of their minds. Seriously. I used to sit there with zero actual evidence and just judge them based on nothing but my own assumptions. Then, reality hit me in the face. I became a mother. And suddenly, everything I thought I "knew," every single opinion I held onto so tightly, just evaporated. It’s funny how life works. All those "I would never" and "there's no way I'd ever do that" declarations? They vanish the second you're actually in the trenches. 😁
What would those self-righteous saints say to a mom who leaves her nursing baby tucked away with a sitter just to hit up a concert with her husband? ☕ Pure scandal! I didn't even look at the kid for two whole hours. 🙂
Richard Morris43 said:and honestly, what am I supposed to do if you guys are all just walking around with some massive inferiority complex regarding Motherhood 🥳
It’s not a "complex." It’s just how life works. ☕ Happy moms make happy kids. Deal with it.
Just bring them home already, for crying out loud! Those poor kids are getting totally shortchanged. Honestly, how did you even think you could handle having three of them??? It’s obvious you backed down because you clearly aren't cut out for motherhood. ☕
I’m waking up three times a night, and honestly, I don't see any difference in how I walk from the toddler's crib in my room over to the one that would theoretically be a few feet away in a separate nursery. When my older kid wakes up next to them, I’m there in seconds—just like I would be if they were in their own room. It never even crossed my mind to judge people like that or decide who "deserves" to have kids and who doesn't. I mean, do you people even read the news? There are plenty of much worse parents out there than someone who just chooses to keep their child in the same room.
Richard Morris43, give it a rest with those kinds of comments. My little one was sleeping in my bed until recently, and honestly, I don't feel even remotely like a better parent because of it than someone who keeps their kid in a separate room. The whole argument is just nonsense. He slept right next to me. One time, I actually pulled the duvet over his head and passed out. Another time, I had some crazy dream and nearly tossed him right off the mattress. So much for "bonding," right? Besides, if a baby is sleeping in a crib just a foot away from you, there isn't much difference between that distance and being in another room a few feet away. When the baby calls, you hear them and you go to them. You don't just leave a child crying in another room. I know plenty of women whose kids sleep in their own rooms, and believe me, they are some of the best moms I've ever met—totally devoted and head over heels for their kids. And there’s this assumption that a baby is staring at their mom while they sleep. They aren't. The baby is asleep. Mom is asleep. And when the baby is awake, Mom is right there with them. It's pretty straightforward when you aren't bogged down by that "my way is the only right way and everything else is stupid" mindset.
It honestly drives me nuts when people act like the bond between a parent and their kid is something you can just sum up in a couple of sentences in some self-help book, or worse, like you can measure it by how many feet apart a child sleeps at night.

I’m coughing like crazy, and honestly, every time I hack, I feel like my uterus is actually going to pop out of my body. To make matters even worse, I’ve got gestational diabetes, so my list of "safe" things is basically non-existent right now. I went down to the CVS, but they were being so incredibly strict about what I can and can't take. They don't even carry any sugar-free syrups. So, I thought I’d be smart and just brew some marshmallow root tea since I know that’s usually fine... then it hits me—it has natural sugars in it, which means it’s a total no-go for me too! 🙂

Me too. I had this one instance with a young couple and two kids in tow. But I gave them a thanks and turned it down—wouldn't have taken it if I did. We were at a McDonald's, and I'd gone ahead to grab a seat while my husband stayed in line, but honestly, the thought alone was pretty sweet.
Chris Kim16 said:It’s just a vest—helps protect your kidneys and stuff. 😁 Honestly, even women who wouldn't be caught dead in one usually start wearing them once they're pregnant! I went through a bit of a rough patch myself, but I still haven't picked one up. 🙂
😂Honestly, this is the absolute peak of the nonsense I've had to listen to lately. 🤣🤣🤣
And don't even get me started on the local fish market... You really have to experience it to believe it. It’s like watching a bunch of old-timers bickering and lunging at each other like rabid dogs. Then you’ve got these women—I’m talking heavy-set ladies in bright red coats, easily 5'9" and pushing 180 pounds—acting like walking scales, cutting right to the front of the line because "oh, I didn't see you there..." Give me a break! 🙂 I actually laid into one lady like that once. It wasn't even a rush, so I had all the time in the world to deal with her, but she wasn't about to play me for a fool!
