I guess I’m actually a pretty decent person, even if I can't always be perfect, but man... 😁

It seriously drives me insane how rude people have become lately; nobody gives you any space or basic respect anymore, whether you're on the subway or just trying to grab something at Target.
Today I went to see my doctor for a referral and there were like ten of these totally unbotheratic, middle-aged ladies sitting there acting like they owned the place—just lounging around like cows—and I couldn't even ask to sit down because someone was taking up all the room! 😠
Honestly, I felt like giving one of them a slap. 🙂

Me too. In all my months of pregnancy, I've been bumped out of line twice. Both times at the supermarket, both times by some old guy with a massive shopping cart.

Everything else was just people giving me those looks like, "What did you do to deserve this?"
😠
Ryan Cruz4 said:I'm also dealing with that "second pregnancy" thing; I already have a daughter at home, so naturally, everyone thinks all the "evidence" points to a boy. 🤣🤣🤣From the shape of my bump to the morning sickness, and don't even get me started on the heartburn—it's driving me absolutely insane.

Oh, tell me about it. Measuring the bump, commenting on the shape, guessing the gender based on it... ugh.🙄

Honestly, I should've just played along better since nobody even asked us the gender, just to avoid the teasing. For those most annoying, nosy people? We should just start a betting pool on the baby's sex and collect the cash through some "neutral" third party.😛
Ronald Chase17 said:I wouldn't say that every pregnant woman who has an "unexpected" pregnancy complains.
Based on your logic, there are only two types of pregnant women: those planning a pregnancy who are now happy, or those complaining because they were irresponsible and failed to use contraception.

I believe there is a significant distinction between the "fear" of pregnancy experienced by someone who frequently changes partners versus someone in a long-term relationship who approaches contraception—whether panicky or composed—in accordance with that fear.
There are actually far more variables involved in how one approaches this.

The bolded part clearly describes a state of panic regarding pregnancy.

It strikes me as somewhat odd to receive advice from someone who states:

or someone who views everything in such black-and-white terms.

Not everyone has access to every type of contraception—in my case, I cannot use either of the major categories you listed. That significantly limits availability regardless of how many options exist on paper.

And yes, a pregnancy "happened" to me, and while I was surprised initially, I did not "wonder" or "complain" in the manner you suggest I should have.
Quite the opposite, actually; both my partner and I are overjoyed, and we are currently adjusting to the situation to ensure everything is ready for our little one.

👍

Back to the topic: suddenly a bunch of nosy, incredibly primitive assholes have shown up, reacting in the dumbest ways possible to the news that we're expecting another (actually our second) girl. A girl that all three of us (plus family) are beyond excited about.😍

The reactions clearly stem from the assumption that we were specifically trying for a boy, or that gender is even a priority in how we approach having kids.
We've heard it all, from: "Well, you can always have more" to: "As long as they're healthy..."—just a mountain of similar nonsense. My favorite was being told that my husband is definitely going to go wild trying for an heir now (as if there's anything he could leave behind that our girls won't, and maybe they don't realize you can keep a maiden name these days anyway)🤷

I don't know, my first instinct is purely destructive, but since arguing with idiots is pointless, I usually just stick to: "But we were REALLY rooting for a girl. We wouldn't have wanted a son at all."

That's the only language people with zero intellect actually understand.☕

So, didn't melpy say not that we aren't talking about some imaginary airhead here?

And what if she doesn't have a fancy degree, a husband, or a boyfriend? Does that mean she has nothing going for her besides being attractive? Since when did those become the only criteria?
Clearly, she’s got substance and heart if she actually recognizes her issues and wants to fix them—which is why she’s going to group therapy, I assume. That shows more character than most "successful" people with Ivy League degrees ever possess.

Looking at how the women on this thread are reacting, it’s pretty obvious who is actually beautiful and who is just living in the shadows, bitter and waiting for her looks to fade so she can finally feel superior. Then they'll all start showing their true colors... pathetic. 👎
Elizabeth Anderson63 said:I was just wondering why Reddit went dark, then I stumble upon this thread 😢

I was confused when I logged on tonight. Now I get it.

I don't care what that one user is up to on other sites. I don't read her threads, I don't find them funny, and I have zero interest in arguing with people who act like that on a forum.

I only step in when it concerns the moderation of the trash threads. Just like a similar situation a few months back, I have no intention of punishing users for laughing at stuff they found online. If someone posts controversial content anywhere on the web and then complains about how people react to it, that's on them.

My stance remains the same: the internet is a brutal place. If you put your privacy out there, you have to accept that your content can end up anywhere, in any context.

Also, I'm not paying attention to the users trying to start revolutions by claiming the whole world is against them. That doesn't happen to anyone sane.

I hope Melpy finally got all the attention she was fishing for, because this is getting exhausting.

Back to the trash threads. Melpy gets mentioned, a few comments fly by, and that's it. People move on to more interesting things.
When things started spiraling around the same person again today, my colleague Simple Filla locked the thread to let the hotheads cool off. Good for her. 👍

And look, I'm not planning on killing the banter on Reddit. That's what the sub is for.
I’m sticking to that, and to what I wrote earlier regarding links and photos, unless the admins tell me otherwise.

Now get ready for the fallout. I bet all the mods here will start popping up soon with their pathetic excuses—"It wasn't me," "I didn't do anything," "I have nothing to do with this..." 🤣🤣 🤣

Yeah, I was just used as a distraction... that's what every government does. 😛
They just pick some random person from the public to keep the peasants quiet, making them think the American Dream is actually within reach for everyone. 😬

👍 Yeah... and then they hand your fat moderator paycheck over to someone with better connections🤣

What are they even looking for? How clean your desk is? What size monitor you’re rocking or what kind of PC build you've got? 😁

Look, I'm telling you, it's all about who you know. 😍

I don't have any special connection to vaj, yet somehow I became a moderator. 😍
And it's not like I'm tight with the other mods, super mods, admins, or whatever other "gods" run this place. 🤷

I'm not even some veteran user, which anyone can see just by looking at my registration date and post count... it's not all about being an old-timer, there's more to it than that. 😁
Look, I just landed here from Mars... but wait, hold on, did this whole thread just turn into—or is someone trying to make it an—argument about whether we should be "curing" gay people??? Why would anyone even want to "cure" them just to make life easier for bigots? 🤷 I mean, life is already easy enough for those folks; they mostly stick together in packs, unless they're terrified of being "assimilated" by some pushy minority 🤣 But there's a different name for that, isn't there? Persecution mania... or maybe just confusing sexual impulses...

I don't know, explicit sexual behavior in public really bugs me, regardless of whether it's a gay or straight couple. It doesn't strike me as spontaneous or "love"—it looks like primitive teenage punk rebellion meant to shock the small-minded. For what? Oh right, someone mentioned how women and Black Americans fought for their rights that way... except the difference is that Black Americans and women were fighting for the right to do exactly what the "privileged" groups were already doing in public. Despite all the exhibitionists out there, I still think most mentally healthy people keep their sex lives behind closed doors, no matter who they're sleeping with...
Can you swim with tampons? in Women's Health ·

I don't have a boyfriend.

You're deaf if you think you're doing it right. 😉

I don't pick fights with anyone, so maybe that's why it stays dry. 😁
Plus, I can do a backflip.😲

The only thing saving you is that you're single, what else could it be? 🤷
