Speaking of Omega-3,
you can actually pick up the Doppelherz Lachsöl 1000mg + Folic Acid + B6 + B12 + Omega-3 at just about any pharmacy here in the States now!
I personally take it for a few other reasons and it works wonders for me. I usually have a super sensitive stomach and most supplements make me feel pretty lousy, but this one doesn't bother me at all!
Plus, those B vitamins are great for your skin, so it might be a real help for someone else too.

If I remember right, the box comes with about 123 softgels, which is $27, and I personally take two every morning.

Robert Clark2,
Just a heads-up, this forum is open to everyone and isn't strictly limited to medical talk or medications alone.
The ground rules are super simple: please don't be disrespectful and let's keep the misinformation to a minimum!
If someone’s posts are getting on your nerves and you’d rather not see them, you can always just hit that ignore button.
Let's try our best not to turn this space into a massive argument zone.
Thanks so much, jadesailor14

It’s always someone else’s fault, isn't it? 🙄

🤔 Are we actually going to do this?
If we don't, this subforum is going to go straight to hell

Primary care doctors in Health ·
Your primary care doctor doesn't actually have to live in your neighborhood!

Just head down to your local Medicare office and have them check your records to see who you're assigned to. If you aren't assigned to anyone yet, you can just pick whoever you like!

I’ve heard some people have luck coating the metal with clear nail polish or even using a clear spray paint from an auto shop.
Some people don't find that works at all, though!
Nobody’s built perfectly symmetrical; some people just have imbalances that are more obvious than others
There are plenty of other athletes out there who ended up a bit lopsided because their specific sport forced one side to work harder—they're still perfectly healthy, just asymmetrical
Since we can't actually see your legs through a screen, we're all just guessing how noticeable it really is
Personally, I wouldn't give it a second thought; I wouldn't care if I saw a duck at a local pond with a little quirk like that

Maybe check in with your physical therapist to see how you can strengthen those weaker muscles? They could put together a custom workout plan just for you!
Gary Chavez39 said:Alright, look—when I was just a little kid, maybe five years old, I took a nasty fall off my bed and slammed my neck. It caused a blood clot and some nerve damage, which ended up paralyzing the right side of my body—arm and leg included—for about three or four days. The lasting fallout from that is that my right leg is noticeably thinner than my left; basically, the muscle development just isn't there. Honestly, it’s frustrating to look in the mirror and see that discrepancy. I’m currently going through physical therapy to try and rebuild some strength in that right leg, but I need some honest input here. Please, just tell me straight: do you guys notice it? Would you think I look odd or... I don't know, "off" in some way? Thanks in advance.

Nah, definitely not

but hey, if it really bugs you that much, maybe just admit you're being a bit of a chauvinist! 😬
Most people actually have one leg that's a couple of centimeters thicker than the other, depending on whether they're righty or lefty.

Well, you certainly wrote it out just like everyone else!
You didn't just post some blurry photo for us to guess at—it's nice to give the group something to actually enjoy, though I know that’s not easy for everyone!
But hey, a volunteer stepped up, so now you're all caught up! 🙂

It was really thoughtful of you to go back and edit your original post to fix everything.

Noah Garcia15 said:Honestly, it’s a non-issue for me... I’m a vegetarian and don't touch meat anyway, so if she tries to dictate what I can or can't eat, I think I can manage just fine without her constant nagging—plus, doing it on my own is actually cheaper...

I always assumed the weight loss would come naturally from the injections themselves combined with eating less, but now it seems like I might actually have to commit to a full diet too...

It’s just not worth the money.

My bad, Ali! 🤣 🤣 🤣

The only way to actually lose weight is to just cement your toilet shut! 😂
Everything else is just a tool to help you get there—it's all about how you push through to reach your goal!

Ugh, does it hurt? Just the mention of needles makes my skin crawl... 😱
Let’s be clear: weight loss is absolutely not on my radar; however, I might consider it if they promised it would make me quit smoking... 😬

Well, she'll probably nag you about quitting smoking too
that's $33 part of the treatment
and she says doing it three times is plenty

Now, I was wondering about the timeline for weight loss... personally, I’m looking to drop about 20 pounds... how much time should one realistically allocate to make this actually effective??

And does it truly work, and what does the process actually entail? Is it painful... or at least uncomfortable?

You aren't allowed to post that publicly; you have to send a private message instead!

What a bunch of characters!
The lady is a doctor—a general practitioner, actually—with a certification in acupuncture (just so we're clear, I'm not being a 🤣). She does these weight loss sessions twice a week.
Each session lasts about 20 to 30 minutes. She needles your temples, ankles, and knees, and then you feel like your brain is buzzing! If you're up for it, you might even get an extra needle right under your nose.
She pushes a version of the Atkins diet—basically, eat as much cooked or roasted meat as your heart desires, plus egg whites and veggies, though she bans carrots, beets, beans, peas, and lentils.
Bread, dough, sweets, fruit... all that stuff is strictly off-limits.
Then there's one day a week where you only eat vegetables.
She’s also very quick to prescribe antidepressants to people who struggle with discipline. Her logic is that carbs act like a drug, so she uses meds to calm down the "addicts," which feels a bit 😱 to me.
If you stick to the plan, the pounds definitely come off, though honestly, they'd probably drop even without the poking.
I think the needling is meant to trigger endorphins (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm feeling a little more 😵 than usual today!) so you don't feel as hungry.
How fast you lose weight really just depends on how much you need to lose; someone carrying an extra 80 pounds is going to see results faster than someone just trying to drop five.
And, of course, it depends on how well you follow the menu.
The speed at which you gain it back depends entirely on how hard you dive back into regular food once you hit your goal (wow, I am feeling incredibly brilliant today! 😬))

In my opinion, this diet isn't healthy at all, although I suppose being 20, 30, or however many pounds overweight isn't exactly healthy either.
To me, something like the UN diet seems like a much better choice, and I bet doctors would actually recommend it.
Antidepressants 😱... goodness, they aren't candy! You don't need a medical degree to realize that.

So, dear friends, if it sounds like your thing, go for it! 😁 😁 😁

Oh, one more thing!
Does it hurt? Well, that depends on the person.
She uses standard acupuncture needles that get extra stimulation from a little electric device.
Go see your primary care physician
Tell them everything you just mentioned here
Ask for a referral to a neurologist because of those headaches, cramps, and tingling sensations
If they give you any pushback about providing one, remember they have a supervisor too, so feel free to escalate it

Please take this advice seriously
Stomach acid issues in Health ·
silentcanyon102 said:Thyroid issues? I'm guessing it might be related to excess acid reflux and weight loss. Are you eating normally—or have you actually cut back on your food intake?

If there's too much stomach acid, you really have to rule out thyroid problems first—it could be nothing else!🙄
And she mentioned it's just about the acid levels

you should definitely talk to a real, actual, everyday
doctor.
