I am aware, though I suppose this thread was originally intended for the film, but it seems an entirely new discussion has been opened specifically for the series The Last of Us

😁 Well, I guess she's right. Along with the shaking seats, they include scents, water sprays, wind effects, and things of that nature...
😁 I suppose this primarily pertains to how the cinematic imagery is perceived, given that a 3D image can certainly be static in nature. And how might one account for those gimmicky experiences, such as 4DX or 6D theaters?
There are only three comments on this film here, and nobody has bothered to type a single word in over two and a half years. I suppose that serves as some sort of indicator regarding the quality, doesn't it? 😁
Look, this is an action war movie, and I suppose one shouldn't really expect absolute historical accuracy or total realism from a production like this. It isn't exactly a documentary, after all.
I wasn't even suggesting that the movie was bad, and I certainly still plan on watching it. It’s just that, I guess, the decision to go with black-and-white cinematography felt like a rather peculiar choice to me.
??? I suppose I’ve seen it at least ten times now. The movie was filmed back in 1941, so it makes sense that black-and-white cinematography was just the standard at the time.
Alright, I suppose there might be some sort of logical justification for choosing to film a movie using this particular technique, but I am struggling to see it.
Black-and-white films truly belonged to the era in which they were produced, primarily because that was simply the standard technology available at the time. Nowadays, when I see someone choosing to make a film in monochrome, I can't help but feel it leans more toward a lack of creative vision or perhaps just a desperate attempt at experimentation.
When I was just a kid, I used to be obsessed with those old-school black-and-white gangster flicks, but now that I’m hitting my fifties, I guess my taste has shifted quite a bit.

They’ve overhauled the interface more than a few times before, so I guess we'll eventually just get used to it.
On my older computer, I tend to use the mobile version of the site, as I find it faster and it lacks all those annoying ads and extensions.
I suppose I wasn't aware that one actually had to sit through a movie before being allowed to offer an opinion on it. I suspect perhaps 90% of the people participating in this thread haven't even seen it, yet somehow, I've become the villain here. Fine by me, I guess. 😁
