I’m throwing out a very specific question regarding a contradiction in the Bible. Someone actually gave me an answer. So, we’re keeping this conversation going—staying strictly on topic, though. We're starting to build a bit of a back-and-forth here... And then, just like that, everything gets wiped clean!?
Mod, look—give it to me straight (and please, mind the context)—what exactly is the sticking point for you? What's the issue in your head?
Given my own principles, I’m still sitting here waiting for Sandy to actually apologize. Honestly, Sandy needs to send a clear message to everyone else—a signal that we should respect the traditions and the topics that long-term members have spent years building up... Sandy really needs to prove they deserve any kind of respect here.
I ended up posting your message because your inbox was already slammed. My past experiences with the mod team have taught me that their emails can get totally overwhelmed, and they rarely give you any actual chance to defend yourself.
But seriously, you’ve got some nerve making threats like that out in the open—especially when every single person active on this thread could jump in right now and testify that what you're claiming has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.
To be honest, I didn't even take those warnings of yours seriously at first. After following this thread for years, it just didn't seem realistic that a moderator would actually land on such a ridiculous conclusion. I honestly thought it was just some random user messing with me...
The whole thing just keeps spiraling. The moderator completely blew it—dumped 240 infractions on my account and triggered an automatic ban. It’s crystal clear they don't have a clue how the site rules actually work, yet they're still out here making threats. Look, it isn't about who has the higher rank; it's about basic human decency—having enough dignity to just say, "Damn, I messed up." At the end of the day, the forum leadership is only as strong as its weakest link.
Honestly, it would be the decent thing to do if that moderator actually offered an apology. I mean, look, we all mess up sometimes—it’s just part of being human...
redbear2 said:I honestly don't see the issue here. From what I’ve seen during my time on this subforum, people just drop whatever song they’re vibing to at that moment, which ends up stacking a bunch of posts together, sometimes even back-to-back. It was never a big deal until I caught that warning from the moderator recently. Besides, if someone is actually dying to know exactly what one specific user is listening to, they can just click the post count in the thread and then jump straight to that person's profile.
The whole idea behind a thread like this is the song you're listening to... right now.
Threads like this pop up on pretty much every major US forum—they're designed specifically for capturing the moment. You see threads like "what are you doing right now" or "what would you do if..." and so on. It stands to reason that in a thread like that, every single present moment gives you a reason to post something that fits the theme. But apparently, someone decided that doing exactly what the thread asks for constitutes spam.
Look, you don't even have to try that hard—just glance at any random page on this forum and you'll see how things actually work around here. Since I’m having a really tough time wrapping my head around why someone would suddenly barge into a thread with an excuse that has absolutely zero to do with the topic... I can only assume I'm being a massive nuisance to someone...
So, this whole thing started with the "What Are You Listening To" thread, where the moderator decided to start handing out penalty points for every single song I listed. I’ve been posting my current rotation here for years—just like everyone else—so honestly, the shock was pretty massive... I sent a formal protest to the moderator, and her response was basically this:
"The main reason behind this request and how we’re handling posts is simple: preventing spam. It’s just not helpful for the other users on this thread to have to scroll through an entire page that’s nothing but one person's playlist. When you're drowning in a sea of posts, people shouldn't have to hunt through pages of content just to find a specific recommendation or see what someone they actually respect is playing. I’ve lost count of how many complaints I’ve received from people asking us to crack down on this kind of spamming. If someone wants to know what a specific user is listening to, they can just search for them within the thread and see their history in a single go. It’s better for everyone involved.
...Aside from, obviously, those who are just using it to farm post counts—which is the second reason for this rule. We have people dropping music lists with the sole intention of padding their stats as fast as possible. This thread and others like it have been exploited for that purpose for ages, and we've been trying to stop it for just as long.
Most people follow the unwritten rules quite nicely—they'll put a few songs in one post if they want to highlight a few things at once, or maybe group them together later. Or I'll just merge them myself. Sure, occasionally someone might go overboard, but that's the exception, not the rule. If a new user doesn't know the netiquette for this thread yet, we're lenient, but we won't tolerate someone just ignoring a direct request.
That’s really the whole philosophy behind it.
There's also one minor detail regarding those massive, endless lists—like the ones posted by users such as mm1991sthr. In those cases, we ask that you use size 1 font, just so a single post doesn't end up hogging an entire page by itself."
So, apparently, my "problem" is that I was actually following the prompt and listing what I was listening to... unbelievable.

I was thinking about how I have quite a few attractive cousins in my family, and obviously, there isn't even a flicker of attraction there, which got me wondering... what is it that actually stops us from seeing relatives in that way? Is there some sort of built-in mechanism in our brains that just shuts down any kind of sexual thought when we look at a family member? Like, why is it fundamentally impossible for me to imagine being with a cousin?
I hope you guys get where I'm coming from, I really don't mean anything bad by asking! 🙂
Now, this is actually a fascinating question. 🙂
I've always wondered about the exact psychological or biological gear that shifts when we distinguish between family members and everyone else in a sexual context... it's wild to think about.
Ryan Wilson2 said:It isn't particularly difficult, provided you engage in a bit of mental exercise, to draw a parallel between reptilian influences and spiritual progress. You see, anyone who dares to pursue true spiritual growth will find themselves being actively pushed off that path by any means necessary—especially if there is even a slight chance they might lead a significant portion of their followers along with them. Such individuals aren't useful as mere sustenance; instead, they become targets for persecution and isolation to ensure they don't spread their perceived "affliction." 😁
Of course, this logic doesn't apply to those religions where suffering, self-flagellation, and repressed sexuality are baked into the very foundation of the faith due to an inherent inability to actually renounce desire. Now *those* are the raw emotions that serve as a feast... particularly when they congregate for spiritual revivals or gather around some charismatic preacher. 😁
In my view, these are the forces specifically designed to stifle human development and prevent our liberation from primal, animalistic instincts.
Hehehe... well, there's another side to this. For me, leaning into spirituality actually helped me stay more open to information. Not cherry-picking only the bits and pieces that happen to fit my hobbies, my job, or whatever political tribe I'm rooting for. Every single scrap of info can be gold, regardless of where it comes from. The source itself doesn't dictate the quality of the intel...
The less I rejected data—the more I embraced it and tried to make sense of it within my own capacity—the further I drifted away from the mainstream "spiritual scene."
That whole "spiritual scene"—or what I call the "spiritual folk scene"—is basically just a bunch of people chasing yellow-page style spiritual gossip and turning it into some trendy, performative lifestyle.
God, I swear, this damn Windows 7 can be so flaky... sometimes after you delete a file from a folder, it just automatically refreshes the rest of the contents so the file disappears properly, but other times? Other times it just sits there, leaving the ghost of the deleted file right in the list until you manually hit refresh. 🙄 It’s like the OS just decides how much effort it feels like putting in after a reboot... 😁

People definitely pay for that. If I recall correctly, Larry Ortiz5 mentioned they handle those billing details perfectly. 😬
I still assume most folks stick to the official authorized service centers "just in case," though. As for everything else? It’s a total crapshoot. A friend of mine told me she hired some "technician" through a random Craigslist ad and paid him about $133 just to swap out a power supply—only to find out the guy had ripped her off by installing some cheap, used piece of junk.
I've never actually run into that specific issue myself—never even seen it pop up on my end—but I did spot some guy over on YouTube who claims to have the fix...
mistygull16 said:First off, my bad if this isn't the right sub for Spiritually-themed PDFs. If the mods think it belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it, 🤷
So, here’s the deal. According to those wild conspiracy theories floating around, we're actually being ruled by some kind of reptilians from other planets—or maybe just different dimensions.
Personally, I’m leaning toward a different vibe. I think the world is really run by these ultra-wealthy dynasties. They play the long game, pulling strings through corrupt governments to control entire nations and their people.
Then you've got the folks who swear there are "beings of light" out there, supposedly sent to reveal all this to us...
But honestly? I suspect the elites actually cooked up those alien theories themselves. It’s a brilliant distraction—make the idea of a shadow government sound so ridiculous and naive that nobody takes them seriously.
I mean, if you ask me, things are way more intense than people realize. This whole top-tier elite group is working on a systematic plan to drain everyone's pockets, and they're getting us used to being broke every single day.
What do you guys think?
I don't think those people in power even need to bother inventing anything... because they let the public imagination do all the heavy lifting for them. All they have to do is keep the media gates swung wide open. All this stuff about reptilians and whatever else is just modern folklore that resurfaced back in the 60s and 70s after being around for millennia... The real difference now is that in this modern age, it's become this grotesque commercial product used by "gurus" who seem to pop up everywhere like mushrooms after a rainstorm. They're making serious money off it.
The unknown—that sense of mystery—always leaves plenty of room for people to fill in the blanks with their own fantasies. And when you're dealing with a hot-button issue? Extreme theories become absolutely inevitable...
Patrick Martin said:Look, their relationship is just one piece of the puzzle in this movie, but honestly? It’s more than enough to carry its own weight.
Patrick Martin said:Yeah, right. Because clearly, her dream was to get a PhD and land a cushy job at City Hall.
So, what exactly was a teenage vampire supposed to do according to you?
That whole bit about her sister pushing that vampire organization? Forgettable.
Look, that’s just standard fantasy stuff—it’s an instrument to ramp up the tension. It fits the vibe of the movie.
She was supposed to be this new kind of moral compass—you know, the foundation of her whole ethical code was basically just "I'm not my sister." And then she goes ahead and bites the kid... 😲 The guy was already dealing with an incurable illness, which would have totally justified her entire arc of being the "moral" one compared to her sister, who basically has zero boundaries.
What even is the dynamic between this girl and the boy? They met, he fell for her. She should realistically know that her bite is going to permanently screw over a guy who is already fighting for his life against a terminal disease. So, what’s the solution here? If you can't die a natural death, you just suffer for centuries instead? She knows that. Even though there wasn't some grand, sweeping romance—honestly, their connection was incredibly shaky at best—she still decides to sink her teeth in. It’s just madness... pure, confused madness. What was the motivation? To kill a man who's already facing a death sentence, all in the name of a romance that doesn't even exist in the movie? The film fails to establish any real bond between these two people. It’s just a bunch of vampire tropes tossed together with just enough plot to call it a movie.
Just another mediocre teen horror flick. The whole thing could have been so much more compelling if they’d actually explored the dynamic between the sickly kid and her—but the movie completely missed the mark there. It left me with this frustratingly vague impression that this girl is desperately trying to keep her curse under wraps, only to basically toss aside everything the film previously established about her morality just to chase some cheap plot point involving a superficial friendship. There was zero substance to it... just selling out for easy money.
And don't even get me started on that whole subplot about her sister's vampire syndicate; it was totally forgettable.
