😉 hehe, you mean it gets trashed...
But letting go of a Coke is easier said than done...🙂
I’m assuming your diagnosis is "supraventricular paroxysmal tachycardia"?
(There are different types... like atrial tachycardia with block, etc.)
Sudden racing heart? But rhythmic? And usually stops just as abruptly as it started?
I won't get into the underlying mechanics...
What I am saying is that this typically affects healthy people. These episodes can recur for years without ever showing any actual heart disease...
Mind you, for someone who already has existing heart disease, this kind of atrial chaos can lead to serious symptoms.😲
Even healthy people feel weakness or dizziness. When the atria decide to throw a party, stroke volume drops, which leads to a drop in blood pressure.
I see you were prescribed a beta-blocker to keep the tachycardia in check... but there are other methods too... like vagus nerve stimulation.
Anyway... good luck... better to deal with tachycardia than some other real illness...🙂
Here’s an analogy for ventricular issues. Imagine if your heart chambers were just hammering away at 120 beats per minute for an extended stretch. You wouldn't be able to pump blood effectively, which means you can't maintain steady circulation... and that triggers a massive chain reaction of problems. If that ventricular tachycardia spirals into ventricular fibrillation, then you're looking at the devil himself—cardiac arrest. At that point, you're stuck unless Dr. Kovach happens to be nearby. Though, personally, I’d prefer a doctor like House.
As for atrial tachycardia... or supraventricular issues... they're mostly just a nuisance. It's less about immediate danger and more about that uncomfortable pounding in your chest, the weakness, or just the sheer anxiety of it all.
Look, when you compare it to a VENTRICULAR... it’s hardly dangerous...

Look, if you get something, you usually get exactly what you were hunting for. If your only goal was a quick hookup, then yeah, you probably would've landed one! Especially if you can pull off the "bad boy" persona and you aren't an eyesore. There's no deep philosophy here. First question: where are you even looking for a "relationship"? If you're searching at 4 AM on a Saturday in some neon-soaked dive bar after you've already blacked out twice and start seeing purple unicorns, then it's obvious what you want and what she expects from you. It's strictly a one-night stand scenario. Even if the girl is decent, she's likely going to play the same game you are—trading lines—because you're playing the player and she's playing the party girl.
And honestly, those "coffee dates" a few days after a drunken night with a stranger should be illegal.
Just because some amazing girl blew you off after you two "clicked" doesn't mean the next amazing girl will do the same. There are plenty of great women out there. And some of them actually think about the meaning of life and wouldn't want to deal with an idiot. 😉 You just need a bit of luck to run into one of them.

So what exactly are you overthinking during all this? 🤔 Give me an example... (asking out of pure curiosity...🙂 )
I quit too. I was on them for maybe two months... honestly, I didn't notice any massive breakthroughs. Maybe my mood lifted a tiny bit, though that could just be the fact that spring is here and the sun is actually out for once...😬Whatever the reason, it was enough, because depression isn't even my main issue right now.
Oh, and I slept better while taking them. (Exactly the opposite of what you're describing...) Normally, I wake up at a horrific hour and can't get back to sleep, but while I was on them, I managed to pull "even" 6 or 7 hours straight. I don't know what to say about Advil—it's fine, I guess, but I wasn't expecting a miracle. For that, you need something much stronger.
Why has everyone gone silent?
Alright, let's get down to business: do adults with ADD/ADHD also rely on Ritalin, Adderall, or whatever else is out there? And why aren't these other things considered psychostimulants? Are we really supposed to believe they’re meant to hit an adult brain differently than a child's?
I’m the one setting the terms here. And I’m making them pretty intense. As for death? It hurts just thinking about it; I might actually lose my mind tomorrow. : puca_me_apatija:
And then there’s the suffering... specifically that "wagon" you mentioned... I don't want any part of that. Not one bit. It drags on far too long—forget living a life like that.
Why is everyone acting like this is some "newly discovered" phenomenon? Let’s apply some actual logic here. If Americans have been pumping their kids full of Ritalin and other stimulants since the sixties, then these people have already been living with ADHD for decades. They didn't just develop it yesterday; they grew up in it. 😛
Fantastic movie! 👍 Johnny Depp was incredible, as per usual. But Leonardo DiCaprio? He actually caught me off guard... I haven't been able to stand him since that pathetic performance in Titanic. Now, I have to admit, he was pure genius here... 🙏 (I'm assuming I wasn't the only one staring wide-eyed at that sinking ship back in the day)
Even though I checked out Basketball Journal and thought it was solid, Gilbert Grape is definitely the superior film...
Hats off to them.😁
