Unfortunately, today’s leadership is nothing but a bunch of yes-men. I mean, it’s always been this way, but now it’s reached a whole new level.
A lot of them just put on a fake face for when they get home, and honestly, I can't stand that kind of hypocrisy...
If you aren't naturally aggressive, people treat it like some kind of character flaw, and well, screw that...
It feels like the standards have become completely twisted lately—it's all about being "likable" while ignoring what actually matters in the end. Anyone can be a boss these days, so it's no wonder everything is a mess...
So, what happens if someone who actually holds some power over you decides they just don't like you? Someone who has the leverage to completely tank your reputation?
Are you basically screwed then?
Are we taking life way too seriously? in Psychology ·
Yeah, exactly—I take my own existence pretty seriously. It feels like I could easily waste this precious time I've been given. I view it as a gift, even if it’s a bit of a twisted one, because it can really mess with your head if you don't know how to handle it...🤔
Most teenagers feel this way, no matter how cliché that sounds... it’ll likely pass once you fall in love for real, like, that actual teenage heartbreak kind of deal😍
Antidepressants and sexual dysfunction in Psychology ·
For mild anxiety or depression, talking it out is usually the better move. If that doesn't cut it, maybe look into something light, something natural?
Look, AT&T can definitely mess with your libido, so you have to figure out which option helps with the mood stuff versus which one actually helps with the drive... it's hard to balance both. You might end up stuck in a loop that's pretty damn difficult to escape. As for the libido side of things, you can try handling that without meds—re-evaluate your relationship, change your routine, whatever...
How do you find your purpose in life? in Psychology ·
I honestly think the whole point of living is just loving people. Maybe that sounds naive—but I’m only truly happy when I'm around the people I care about. It doesn't even have to be a crowd. Or it's when I lose myself in some genius music, or a stunning view... petting my dog, holding a kid's hand... that's where the spark comes from for me. It's what makes me look at the world with tears in my eyes because everything is just so beautiful. I try not to focus on the hate. Honestly, I go out of my way to avoid anything that fills me up with negativity. It isn't easy, obviously. And wouldn't it be incredibly dull if we actually knew the exact purpose of our existence? If we did, it wouldn't even feel like living. But that's another conversation entirely.
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Look, I've cut my antidepressant dose in half two days in a row now. Tonight the dizziness is hitting me hard, though I felt a milder version of it yesterday too... I can't go back to the full dose, so now you're stuck with these thoughts.🤔
I don't have any other major issues, just the usual stuff... but I'm honestly terrified of the side effects. That's why I want to phase these meds out completely—it’s basically just a placebo for me anyway. I'll do it gradually, obviously... but man, getting off them is the real nightmare... fuck, excuse my language...
Missing Word in Psychology ·
Well, it’s not terrible... just maybe show a little more consideration for how other people feel. You really don't seem to grasp the kind of lasting damage you can cause someone, it's just unnecessary... honest enough, nice name, but nobody actually uses it...🙂

Backroom politics are a slippery slope... don't go feeling sorry for yourself just because you lack the skill set. It's better to stay quiet and leave things unsaid... especially when some two-faced snake is telling you how it is.😬

It’s debatable what this stuff does to a broken society... I’ve been there myself, and honestly, nothing but pure curiosity led me to try it. Luckily, I realized pretty quickly it doesn't help my constant sensitivity—it just sharpens everything too much and gives you this fake sense of insight, like you suddenly "get it all." Please. People... I left it at that one experience because my gut told me it was only going to do more harm than good.
Some people get high on that stuff and they're fine, whatever, it's their choice. I'm not judging. But I think getting hooked is inevitable. It’s almost pathetic watching people in their 30s whose entire purpose in life is just making it to the end of the workday and then passing out. They drown in their own little feelings, acting like nothing else works. I used to think like that when I was 16, maybe... but everyone's needs and priorities are different. If you want to party, fine. But if you're aiming for a goal?

Look, let's be real here—hardly anyone gets a perfect childhood. That's just how life works. You aren't going to escape various traumas that eat away at you and shake your confidence. Life is a struggle. Because of that, you have to cut out everything that drains your strength. First and foremost, that means drugs—whether they're hard stuff or just milder substances. We start pretending we're strong enough to handle them, but that's exactly when our actual strength deserts us. Real strength comes from discipline and giving things up. Generally speaking. It’s easy to sit around and theorize about this, I get it... but it’s the plain truth. It’s a waste of a life to blow it all on artificial highs. Why not just live more freely and naturally? For the sake of your mental health—it’s the best way, proven. Staying healthy is the prerequisite for actually being happy.🙂Mental hygiene up—drugs down!🧐

I think, at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal choice. Whether I decide to act in a way that actually makes me feel better or just drift along—well, that’s up to me. It isn't easy living in a world this fractured and schizophrenic; it’s nowhere near the utopia people pretend it is. But then again, life wasn't exactly a walk in the park for our ancestors either. They were quite literally starving and barefoot, yet they still found a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I’m not saying their era was romantic—it was brutal, honestly, from forced marriages to births happening in barns and constant warfare... you name it. My point is, making a choice today is actually harder because everything is handed to us on a silver platter. We lose the ability to distinguish what matters from what doesn't. To me, the right path is always the voice of reason, wrapped in the voice of the heart. Any lie—whether it’s from the media, a friend, or just something cleverly disguised—is a setback. ((Though these days, lies aren't even disguised much anymore; they're just accepted. It's become this culture of intoxication, promiscuity, and glorifying negativity, from the lowest lows to the absolute extremes...)). Following that path is the path of least resistance, because the truth is, the most important things are usually the simplest. Humans are cursed by wanting too much too fast. It sounds old-fashioned, but it's true. We shouldn't support lies in any form, because we all have our own crosses to bear, and lying just makes the vague purpose of life even harder to find. And that purpose is simple: a little bread, a little love, and a song... you just adjust your schedule accordingly. This is just my take on things, sorry if I'm overstepping here.
always look on the bright side of life, param, param, paramparampam....🙂

I honestly can't believe how far this has spiraled...
Why are we dragging out these obvious facts? It’s simple: drugs are bad. They’re evil, they're an illusion, and they lead straight to physical—if not spiritual—death. Period. And all this talk about Mercedes? That’s irrelevant. Let’s look at the drug itself in isolation: it's a trap, a downfall, a betrayal of one's own soul. I won't even count the kids who don't know any better because they aren't really thinking yet... but adults singing mystical praises about it? Even if they're being cautious about it? That’s just pure malice and hypocrisy.Noah Sanchez7Cut it out. Talking about the "beautiful side" of getting high? There isn't one. You just imagine it exists during those initial highs. Go eat some ice cream, listen to some good music, go for a run, jump around... just do something else.
The woman is struggling, and I'm sure she doesn't need to read these petty arguments that probably make her feel even worse. Don't lecture her. Don't analyze her. Just wish her luck, because she’s going to need it—specifically the willpower, without which she won't make it.
It’s easy enough to just sit there and talk trash about someone, isn't it? Maybe people like that wouldn't even have the guts to actually do the same thing in real life. Then again, maybe it's just a matter of culture—you either have it or you don't. Personally, I can't stand those types. Even when they happen to be right, I find myself reflexively skipping over their comments. I just tell myself, "Oh, here we go, another one of those hotheads," and move on. They're exhausting, and honestly, I just avoid them entirely.
High IQ and Narcissism: Fact or Fiction? in Psychology ·
It seems to me that a truly intelligent person has absolutely nothing to be arrogant about. Sure, they might realize they’re sharper than some people, but they also know they’re much slower than others... which basically makes being self-important pretty stupid, if you think about it. A smart person understands that they don't actually know anything—or at least, they know very little. Anyone claiming they have all the answers is just delusional, guaranteed. Most scientists, theologians, or anyone else with actual brains eventually hits a wall where they just have to shut up. That’s the point where every narcissist should probably just take a seat and feel embarrassed.

I'll be honest, I have my own doubts about things too—who knows what exactly—but this whole situation just looks wrong, especially in your case... Still, you’ve got to take a stand on certain fundamental things in life. If you don't, people stop giving a damn about you pretty fast... They start thinking you're just spineless and insecure, and then they lose interest in dealing with you altogether... because all you ever do is spin your wheels. 🍿

My expectations are limitless (within my own sphere of influence)! 🙂
The more willpower you have, the more power you wield..Living completely isolated from society is POSSIBLE! But that’s too massive a leap for me. I want to be involved. You’re being a bit contradictory here, don't you think?! You're basically tripping over your own words... one minute you want to be part of the whole, the next you don't... make up your mind and let us know🙏

You’re just low-key trolling at this point, acting all curious about how people think... you're obsessed. You wouldn't be wasting this much time online if you actually had the focus to back up what you're saying. Look, honey, you aren't a junkie. A real addict would be a total mess by the weekend, and that's it. Junkies don't give a damn about anything except the fix. If you weren't such a hypocrite, you wouldn't be sitting there using a computer—the most popular product of modern civilization. Oh, and you've got a smartphone too, right? Something smells fishy here...

Honestly? I think that would solve all his problems.

I was just about to say the same thing😘 ...just fall in love, if you can manage it, and then you'll see how sweet life actually is😍 forget the drugs. It feels stupid even commenting on this, really... just a pathetic loser. So what? That's a choice. The world is huge, but you've got such a narrow view of it... travel. Go see starving kids in Africa; maybe that'll spark some actual empathy for people. People are imperfect—they always have been and always will be. The end, my friend...😉 you're only human... someone clearly needs attention... a lot!😁

"Healthy living," you say... as if you’re the only one who sees through the hypocrisy of the global establishment. Maybe that cashier was smiling at you because she had to. She’s terrified of getting fired. She’s working for peanuts and playing the part just to survive. If she showed any of the resentment simmering inside her, she'd be out on the street. You want to talk about joining causes and volunteering? Trust me, there are plenty of people more hypocritical than you. By the way—whose bread are you really eating?🙂
