Was she the blonde with shoulder-length hair? I haven't been out in Beverly Hills for a few months now. Even before that, I'd maybe drop by three times a year, and my wife would always bring me a Bud Light without even needing to check the order....
I’m just standing there looking confused while she...
I know you never change 🙏
Yeah 😍
that one is my favorite
There's also this other thin blonde who's a total nightmare (sorry), she'll kick you out at 10:50 PM and wait for you to finish that half-bottle of beer you have left 🙄 🙄
And then there's a little blonde girl who replaced the curvy brunette; those two are pretty chill 😁
Anyway, I haven't been there in quite a while; I just can't find the time 😳
I really need to call Bob so we can grab a seat 🙂
Dana Anderson4 said:I stopped by Beverly Hills the other day. It’s a bit tacky now, but they still have those coupe seats...😍
They aren't coupes, just benches... There's no overhead luggage rack or even coat hooks anymore...😢 Plus, the decor is all weird tables and terrible paintings instead of those classic old photos. Thank God at least my favorite waitress is still there; I see her at concerts. That's something...😢 🙄
stormyviper11 said:And did they go bust? 😢
Well, it’s still socialism at its core, just a bit watered down by Pitbull or something similar... But it still holds its own. 😢 It really does... 😍
Robin Rodriguez5 said:Where even is that? Is it near Grand Central Terminal where The Hollies used to hang out?
Wait, wait, you mean that shelter? That old garage? It hasn't been there for ages... They moved somewhere else, but it's more of a closed-off club vibe now... I haven't actually visited them since then... 🤔
stormyviper11 said:You've never been to Beverly Hills. 😍
Beverly Hills... what a place! 😍 Honestly, you sound just like Truman. There's no way someone from out there knows anything about that absolute dump... 😁 Actually, it’s gotten even worse since they cleaned it up. It just doesn't have that same soul anymore... 😢
dustytinker13 said:I have a feeling someone actually owned that land where the Chase park is now, but from what I heard, they couldn't reach an agreement on everything, so they just turned it into a little park...
Chase bought it up, but they wouldn't let them build anything significant, so they sold the land back to the City for a massive profit 🙄 , which is how things usually work around here... So, until some other shady developer comes along, we'll just have this playground for the kids.
And probably a spot for some older kids to hang out, too... 😁
We’ll take a look. And then we'll ask.
Robin Rodriguez5 said:Where on earth did you hear that? You just got back from there and nobody is even mentioning it...
Actually, some kind of inspection was sent out. It looks like bands won't be able to play for a little while. They sent an info email directly to the "members."
Ask Pišt and let me know what you find out...
steeleagle9 said:The location was garbage anyway...
Honestly, the Location is actually great! It’s easily a three-point boost. It totally makes up for the lack of AC, the western exposure, and all that...
James Taylor55 said:I spent the whole evening wondering when they'd start the public executions outside the local pub.
🙄 Just keep going, my dear...
ruggedmoose21 said:about a month or so ago, all those construction crews were swarming around it, leveling everything out. It felt really strange...
They'll probably build some massive shopping mall on that spot...
First, they'll put in a little park. And after that... well, whoever pays the most wins.
I'm jumping in to join the congratulations for Bandit. 👎
And I honestly didn't think they'd tear it down so soon; I figured there was still plenty of time left... 😢
I might just end up hurting myself... 🤣 ... I could really hurt myself 🤣
Sorry for going off-topic, but this is getting pretty intense 😁
The Hold Steady were pure magic. 😍
The crowd seemed a little low on energy, but my partner-in-crime and I soaked up every single ounce of passion those guys threw our way… Or maybe they were just feeding off ours? 😍 Truly unforgettable. The time of day didn't matter, nothing else mattered—we were totally in sync, dancing away, and in that moment, I honestly felt like I’d give them every cent I own. 😍 How could you possibly miss them? Honestly, how...? 😕 😍
And the cheering… absolute ecstasy. 😍 I thought I’d exhausted myself by around 7:00 PM, but I was wrong. You had to be there to hear it, to really feel it! :mrdanje: Iggy Pop, forgive me! 😳 But I caught a glimpse of you too, and everything… afterwards. 😳
I tried getting a little wild myself, but it just wasn't my scene; it's not for me. And right at that moment, fate decided to play its cruel little games. I guess that's just how it goes; life gives you a tiny bit of luck just so it can hit you harder when it takes it away… Since nobody has any clue what I'm rambling about anyway 😁, I think I'll just leave it at that.
But I am definitely craving more festivals like this. I can overlook any little flaws or hiccups, just please, let them play again. 🙂 Come on, bring them back already!
Jose Lopez15 said:That’s actually the whole trick to it. You grab your ticket from the kiosk, head inside so you aren't holding up the line behind you, then just walk back to your house to swap that machine voucher for some cold hard cash... 🙂
Yeah, you're absolutely right, that's exactly how we handled things last time... 🙂
It seems like there might have been a typo in your message... I'm not quite sure what you meant to say. If you could clarify, I'd be happy to help... kaže:
My plans for today? I know exactly what they are—get some good food and enjoy a few drinks at home... 🙂
That was just how they settled on things... 😁 Nobody gives a damn about me... 🙄 Thirsty for more. For the next one...
Jose Lopez15 said:Why didn't you guys just grab day passes for $5.00?
Before I could even finish saying, "Wait, let's just go to the kiosk, get a day pass, and pay right now," she had already grabbed the ticket from the machine 😁
But in the end, it didn't really make much difference 🙂
Anyway, where are the photos? 🙂
boldeagle3 said:Don't lie to me 😲
I won't. 😁
Actually, our mutual friend went out at the crack of dawn this morning 😉 with two of my buddies to the Harbor to deal with some driver's license stuff. They ended up driving her back to Central Park where we left the car. Both guys had to go because one of them failed to renew his license a couple of weeks ago (though I have no clue why he even bothered going, probably just so the other guy wouldn't be alone 😕 😁 ), and right now they're somewhere grabbing coffee. We have
a direct line via text. 😁
We're all going to be walking around like zombies tonight.
See you there. 🙂
p.s. Oh, she doesn't realize it's me posting this, so don't say anything to her. You know what I mean... She only knows me as that other person. 😁
p.p.s. Honestly, I'm being silly. She'll definitely figure it out if she decides to read what's being said about the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. 🤣 Anyway, I shouldn't write such nonsense. 😁 Except for this p.s.
shadowgardener12 said:you’re out of your mind 😁 but hey, that's just life when you're feeling a bit reckless 🤣
and you're just being mean 😁
If I saw you stumbling toward a dry throat without even a drop of water to splash on your face 😢
then standing there in line, having no clue what you're waiting for or how long it'll take... you wouldn't even leave because you think "just a little more, just a little more, it's coming soon" 🙄
at least you have some friends to hang out with 🙂
I’d love to say hi to someone in line right now, but I don't want anyone complaining about me 🙂
And we might even make it to see my mother today 🙂
though everyone is really looking forward to The Hold Steady
!!! and Iggy Pop 👋 👋
The bottom line:
I haven't seen a Happy Monday in a long time... spent two hoursb> waiting in line for drink and food vouchers!!! :ubij se: :ubij se: :ubij se:
Once we finally grabbed the vouchers, we had to find a restroom. ("Tojaying" is what we call it... 😎 John Doe would have definitely thought of that term.) Luckily, finding a spot wasn't the hardest part. It was just pitch black, making it impossible to aim, and you really don't want to be feeling around blindly for... well, you know... 🙂so...
And then.
The beer dispenser was broken! Right down by the Apple stage. 😵 Oh, it was awful; I wasted over twenty minutes there. The New York Dolls had already started. They played two or three songs while I was still fighting for a single drop of yellowish bubbly liquid called Bud Light.
Anyway, I managed to catch one full set of theirs, then joined the stampede toward the VIP stage where Sonic Youth was supposed to start rocking out.
Oh, Sonic Youth...! 😍 Yes, yes, yes, yes! Finally, finally, pure bliss—Sonic Youth live! Right in front of me! Shredding! 😍 I knew they’d blow through those tracks from their last album that I've been playing on my iPod lately, and man, it was incredible. :-)
Then hunger hit. No way we were making it to dinner time. We hung out for a bit with some famous faces we ran into along the way, then decided to head back toward Brooklyn. We had to get moving, though; our crew has work early tomorrow.
But. BUT! The cops pulled us over right at the exit of Central Park! Right us! Two innocent girls! Two leading the way, three hooligans behind us, and another girl trailing along... I mean, how is that a crime?! They seemed a little tipsy themselves (if you ask me, how did they manage that much on those watery beers 🙄?), but the two of us were totally sober. They harassed us for half an hour. My friend blew up a zero, they kept grilling her, and we young ones just took the heat... Meanwhile, all these crazies rolling out of Central Park looking high or wasted (I didn't see them, but I'm sure they were 😁) walk right past without being stopped! 😠 Then there was the car re-parking, a $700 fine, debating whether to grab a taxi or take the subway home...
So far, I've spent:
$83 on the ticket (thank God I bought it early)
$50 on drinks (still have some left)
$10 on food (not even spent yet)
$67 my share of the fine, which was $233:rolajz:
$5.25 on a sandwich in Beverly Hills 😬, though I think the guy messed up the order
$10 on those star earrings I fell in love with like a little kid :rolajz:
$6.00 on parking
And the first day isn't even over yet. :bonkanje:
Only slept from 3 to 5.

I was supposed to write something about the music, right...? 😳
Now you're really pointing fingers; you should probably explain how they actually reached that conclusion. I mean, I don't know how much you understand about addiction; even if people are willing to go to extremes, they usually have much bigger problems on their minds than picking fights with people. 😉 They don't exactly have the energy for that kind of thing. 😁
But hey, maybe I just know different types of addicts 😁 😁, maybe these guys in San Diego are the real deal. 😁
Honestly, I feel for the guy, it isn't funny to me, but it is a little funny to imagine those "addicts" out there... Then again, what do I know, it's not my world. :slijeg:
hollowangler68 said:Alright, does anyone know if you can actually drive all the way to Aquarius at the end, or what? 🤔
At Rockaway, you could drive right up to the very last black line on the road on the right side of the upper map. 😬 Beyond that, it’s nothing but trees. But there was plenty of room around Central Park, and even enough space for parking.
Nicholas Chavez70 said:You’re quite something, Richard Thompson33.... I’ve never really had much of an affinity for rap fashion myself; my wardrobe leans more toward leather... sort of a Mad Max aesthetic...🙏 🙏 😬

I'm far from ordinary; I'm a sweetheart. 😳 At least until someone pushes my buttons. 😁
And this outfit is pure retro-macho; very much me 😍, though I couldn't even fit a hand in these pockets if I tried... 😁
Lisa Rodriguez84 said:Outdoors. Some junkies...
That's just gruesome...👎
Oh, please. Drug addicts don't usually pick fights like that. 😁
Nicholas Chavez70 said:There’s just enough echo from the rap track left in the air... anyway, Richard Thompson33, are you actually still obsessed with that specific lighter? I mean, if you are, have you used it to set anyone on fire yet?🙂
Not quite. 😳 I usually just spread a bunch of keys between my fingers during those few yards I walk from the car to the house in the middle of the night, just in case someone jumps out... I've got a pretty solid right hook. 😁 😳 And my left isn't too bad either. 😁
Up until now, they've managed to pop out from nowhere 🙄 , but luckily they haven't been aggressive.
And you certainly don't give off the impression of wearing a rapper's outfit. 😲
