Noah Smith49 said:Does anyone have recommendations for getting invitations made? I'm looking for a good graphic design studio, a high-end print shop, or something similar... Thanks so much! Also—does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some quality cardstock for invitations here in San Francisco (just in case I decide to DIY the whole thing myself)??

If you're looking for affordable invitation printing and thank-you cards, check out the copy shop over at the local Staples Downtown Chicago. It's actually pretty decent.

Another bride-to-be in the making here 🙂
I need some help—does anyone know a good venue that can hold about 220 people somewhere between Miami and Santa Monica? I’ve already looked into Dell, Spotify, Lockheed Martin, and Phoenix Technologies, but I’m coming up empty for anything further south 🤷
Photographer recommendations are also more than welcome 🙂 Thanks!

I'm looking for some recommendations for the best local bands in San Francisco, but they absolutely have to have a female vocalist (besides Verve).

Thanks,

I mean, isn't it really just a matter of who you end up with? It all boils down to which specific brand representative happens to be working your shift...

If you're looking to host a party for up to 150 people, there’s this great spot right near the coast in San Francisco called pitomcia. The venue itself is gorgeous, and they charge about $42 per chair, plus if anyone is actually in need of an open bar, they can definitely provide that

Hilton gets all the credit from me—honestly, everything from the food to the overall vibe was spot on. I’m not entirely certain if they could handle a crowd of 80 people, though; is that really their limit? Still, for a small
pirate party, it works perfectly.

Honestly, I can hardly wait myself 🙂
I already told Matthew that all three of us are heading there

Jason Barnes6 said:Hi everyone

I’m new to the group... We just finished booking our venue and the band the other day, so at this point, I'm down to just finding a photographer. I've been scrolling through the forums for a few days now, and I have to say, there is an overwhelming amount of information out there... I've found myself looking most closely at Ivica Matic, but I can't seem to track down a direct phone number anywhere. If anyone happens to have his contact info, please send me a private message

Thanks so much!!!

what kind of experiences have you had with bridal boutiques in San Francisco? I have heard they carry incredible dresses without hiking up the rental prices to the moon 🤷

When I went down to Miami with my friend to browse through wedding gowns, I actually had a pretty great experience overall.👍

And what about Diocletian in the suburbs??
I actually attended a party out there back in February, and honestly, where do I even start? I have to give them massive credit because everything from the food to the servers to the venue itself was absolutely spot on.👍👍🙏
Plus, you've still got Amigos right there in the outskirts, too.
Donna Morris30 said:Anyone got the scoop on the Neva hotel?
Need the lowdown on the food, the rooms, and the staff.

All I can tell you is that the location is absolutely stunning, but as for the actual food quality or how the staff treats you? I’m completely in the dark. How many people are you planning to bring along anyway?

Raymond Brooks7 said:I have to disagree with you there... I was at a wedding there recently and everything was top-notch, from the catering to the staff...

If I were picking, my order would be: Saint Croix, then Castello, then Bellevue... but honestly, it all depends on where your church is located. If the cathedral is over in the downtown area, Bellevue is probably your best bet...

For what it's worth, I've been to all three and I haven't found a single thing to complain about regarding the food, the service, or the atmosphere.😍

I was just there about twenty days ago, and frankly, I haven't had a worse meal in my life; half the stuff we ordered never even made it to the table. As for the service, our specific waitress was fine, but the rest of the staff? Not so much. Some tables didn't receive their dishes at all, and when they did, the portions were laughably small for a group of ten.

Adam Alvarez5 said:I’m actually having a bit of a crisis here—I can't quite decide which dining room I prefer: Castello, Bellevue, or maybe Saint Croix? Honestly, I'm torn. I haven't had much time to dig through the archives to see if anyone else has shared their thoughts on the food quality or the general vibe, so I thought I'd just ask you all directly. Any insights would be hugely appreciated!

Don't even think about choosing Castello; sure, the room itself looks great, but the service is hit-or-miss at best and the food is absolutely mediocre.👎 👎
George Bennett9 said:The duo Vinuti and Ivo—could someone please provide some insight? Does anyone have any actual reviews, praise, or even a bit of criticism to share? I'd love to hear it!

All I can tell you is this:👍 👍 👍 👍
these guys are absolutely fantastic; I’ve caught them playing at a few parties, and honestly, those guys just never run out of energy.🙏🙏
If you really want to catch them live, you could always head down to the local bars or clubs around the coast to hear them play.

I checked the strips on Ira and Nirsa and Rose too, but nothing... either they're way too pricey or I just can't find them, though I'd really love to grab some 🤷

Why not just pick up the fabric yourself? You know you can find it pretty cheap at certain shops, then you could just prep it, smooth everything out, and run it through the sewing machine to finish the edges...🙂

Peter Morgan2 said:Hey everyone, good evening,

So, I’m getting married next year in San Francisco—and since I’m currently living in Germany, I have to coordinate everything from over here. I could really use some advice: does anyone know the band 021? Specifically, can they handle a custom setlist? It’s super important to us that they play our favorite party anthems...
Thanks so much for any help!
Love,
Jane

Hey dear, you should check out the existing threads in the California user group; you'll probably find most of what you're looking for there.
Adam Bishop20 said:I’m with you on that! But seriously, at the end of the day, the vibe is everything—whether they have a guitar, drums, or whatever else... like, I saw the Pink Panther playing at this party maybe a month ago and they were literally "awful"! My friend—well, she's a close pal—was so bummed out about it. They kept taking breaks constantly, repeating the same songs over and over, and the energy? It was just... I don't even know! Still, I think the most important thing is what the kids actually want—what kind of music they're into + how they coordinate with the band (the setlist, the breaks, how long they play, etc.). Last week I was at this party where the music was totally on point, absolutely incredible! The guys really brought the energy, even without a drum kit. But nowadays... everyone just does their own thing! For me, it's gotta be Major League Baseball level—I think I missed out... when I called Viva, they acted so stuck-up... lecturing me over the phone just because I looked for a restaurant first instead of a band...

You didn't miss out, and honestly, you've made an excellent choice... you won't regret it...👍
Sandra Gomez50 said:Does anyone happen to have a photo of the Diocletian restaurant over in Malibu?
For those who attended the wedding held there, I’m curious about your take on the overall vibe, the quality of the food, and how the staff handled everything.
Thanks.

I attended a party there earlier this year, and honestly, the venue is absolutely stunning; as for the food, it’s straight-up Major League Baseball quality—easily one of the best dining experiences I've had lately—and the staff is incredibly attentive, always hovering right by your table to make sure you aren't missing a single thing... 👍
