It sounds so spooky 😲 but honestly, I’ve had similar thoughts myself. I’ve actually read stories about how recipients feel like different people after a transplant, almost like their entire personality shifts.
I know there isn't any scientific data to back this up, but I've heard about cases where both the recipient and the donor ended up dying in accidents shortly after—not at the same time, obviously, but just strange streaks of bad luck. It made me wonder: if there's any truth to the idea that a donor's energy or astral body stays tied to the recipient, does that energy somehow push toward its own release... essentially by pulling the recipient toward death?
Quincy:
I remember reading reports in some American newspapers about the parents of donors (since doctors are always hunting for healthy, young bodies), and I watched TV specials on the subject years ago. It’s enough to make your hair stand on end!
Hey mods, I totally messed up when I was trying to update my email address. I meant to swap out my old Comcast account for a Verizon one, but I typed it in wrong. Now I'm trying to fix it, but the system won't let me make any changes. Any idea how I can get this sorted out?
According to the consensus here on the forum, the greatest athlete of 2004 has to be................................ .................................................. .. .................................................

I’m not talking about those random, one-off moments that happen once in a blue moon. I mean the stuff that’s actually part of your daily routine—the struggles that feel like a constant weight on your life. For me, it specifically manifests as an obsessive need to wash my hands.
I definitely relate to that... Whenever I'm walking down a sidewalk, I'm hyper-focused on making sure I don't step on any of the cracks between the concrete slabs... As for how I deal with it... I just pretend I'm dancing while I walk.

National Teams:
1. Best National Team: 2. Best match of the Euros: 3. Worst match of the Euros: 4. Biggest World Cup qualifying surprise (game or result, whatever you want): 5. Best Coach: 6. Most nonsensical coaching decision of the Euros:
Clubs:
1. Top Club of 2004: 2. Biggest surprises in the Champions League 2003/2004 and 2004/2005 (separate for each): 3. Biggest sensation in the UEFA Cup 2004/2005: 4. Most unpleasant surprise in the Big Five leagues: 5. Most unpleasant surprise in other leagues:
Here are my picks:
1. Czech Republic 2. Czech Republic - Netherlands 3:2 3. Switzerland - USA 0:0 4. Ukraine 5. Karel Bruckner 6. Živković playing as the playmaker (don't @ me)
1. Porto 2. 2003/2004 - Monaco, 2004/2005 - Los Angeles Lakers 3. Ajax 4. Deportivo La Coruña 5. Dinamo Chicago
If you guys have any other categories in mind, lay them on me.👍
1. Best national team? Definitely Brazil. For the European teams, maybe the Czech Republic (for now). 2. USA-France 3. England-USA 4. - 5. - 6. Not calling up Klasnić, not starting Tudor (during the USA-France game), and those scandalous own goals. BIGGEST EURO SURPRISES—CZECH REPUBLIC, PORTUGAL, GREECE
------ I don't follow the domestic leagues that closely, so... 👋
Hey there... looks like I've found some fellow riders in here!!! 😉 👋 So... what kind of riding are you guys into, and what are you currently rolling on??? 👋 😉
brightnomad0, I didn't mean to imply they were being coerced or forced to act a certain way 😁, but since they belong to a specific religious community, the members follow its doctrines. Some of those groups simply believe blood transfusions aren't acceptable. Hopefully, that clears things up. 😉
Look, I’m not an expert, and in my case, we’re dealing with mild epilepsy. But even before that, I used to deal with dizzy spells and ringing in my ears all the time. So, honestly, I don't think it's actually connected to the epilepsy. If I were you, I'd go see a neurologist right away. They really are the pros when it comes to this kind of stuff since they specialize in these exact scenarios. It really just depends on the individual. Is there a cure? Well, my doctor just told me to take some vitamins for three months and that would be that. My best advice? Get to a neurologist first, and then you'll have a much better idea of what the next steps look like. Cya! 😉
Robin Cooper, my neurologist actually put me on something called Urutal. Here’s the gist from the pamphlet: "Betahistine is a neuroactive medication used to treat vertigo symptoms associated with Meniere's disease, including dizziness accompanied by nausea and vomiting, hearing loss, and tinnitus or ringing in the ears." It’s a solid medication, but you should definitely run it by your doctor first—ideally both your primary care physician and a neurologist, since you'll need a prescription for it. Best, 👋
I’m putting my vote on Mihovil Španja. Honestly, looking at everything he brings to the table, he totally deserves to be named Athlete of the Year for 2004. .......... I'm definitely with you on Ančić, though.😁
Robin Booth said:Just saying, maybe someone else should give it a shot like I did.😠 😁 [And I can't tell you how many times I've pointed out on the forums that Adam Pierce is a total genius!😁 ]
🥳 It really made my start to the year. On the other hand, I haven't properly sat down to listen to Arcade Fire yet, and honestly, I just haven't been feeling the vibe lately.
If you had to pick the top American athlete of 2004, I’m really hoping this thread hasn't been done before, though I have my doubts,😢
Basically, it’s been a long year packed with massive wins across the board. There are so many great options, so I'll leave it up to you guys to decide: Here are the nominees: 1.Magic Johnson 2.Shaquille O'Neal 3.Chris Paul 4.Kobe Bryant 5.Will Ferrell 6.Nikolaj Pešalov 7.Stipe Drviš 8.Tomislav Hohnjec (World Cup winner, whitewater rafting) 9.Skelin (counting them as a duo, 😁 ) 10.Mihovil Španja
