I think there might actually be room for TV on the Radio, Hivese, Lambchop, MF Doom, The Fiery Furnaces, Archie Bronson outfit, and even the Ocean's 12 soundtrack.
To be honest though, the absolute best albums I've heard all year were actually released last year: Modey Lemon's "Thunder & Lightning" and Hymie's Basement.

If John—and I mean if and only if—lets go of all that mental control and focus... Otherwise, you're stuck staying strictly within the realm of the intellect, or as you'd put it, back in "first grade." 😁 😁 😁 Focusing on its own isn't what leads you to meditation. In fact, intense concentration keeps the mind tethered to the surface. So, you can't reach the eighth grade without mastering the first, but just because you did pass the first doesn't guarantee you'll make it to the eighth if you stop doing the work... 🙂 🙂 🙂
I know she was being given diuretics to help flush out excess fluid while she was in the hospital... I'm assuming she’s still on them? If not, what are the telltale signs of pulmonary edema, and what are the other ways to manage it? For instance, can herbal teas help pull water out of the system? Or maybe certain medicinal plants? Also, any tips on how to soothe that cough?
Diuretics are hands down the fastest and most effective way to go. Sure, you could try some herbal teas as a supplement, but let's be real—they aren't going to replace pharmaceutical drugs, which are absolutely essential when dealing with heart issues like this. I don't have much to add beyond what Scott Allen10 said. Please, just find a solid cardiologist as soon as possible.

Actually, I'd argue that concentration leads to single-mindedness. It's when that focused mind finally lets go, quieting down all that mental noise and activity, that you actually hit that state of meditation.
Terry Ramos4 said:The real question when it comes to transplants is how much an individual organ is tied to the donor's astral identity—and whether their continued existence through the recipient actually delays their own transition to the next life.
That’s exactly what I’m wondering about. Does removing a living organ—essentially leaving a material extension of their life behind—affect the donor's journey to the afterlife? Does it weigh on them, pull them back, or make them feel incomplete?
Terry Ramos4 said:But here's the thing... in transplant medicine, the BEST organs come from someone who is technically clinically dead (meaning zero cortical activity), even if there's still some circulation. Only a highly intuitive consciousness—one with deep imaginative insight—could truly discern whether the astral body has fully detached from the physical one in those cases. Most spiritual paths I've looked into take a negative stance on organ transplants from people who are (clinically) dead. However, donating while still alive isn't usually seen as an issue, because the astral self remains tethered to the main body. ;-)
Right, major organs are typically only harvested from the clinically dead. So, the question is: if a person is clinically dead—meaning their brain has stopped and they'd die without life support—does forcing them to stay tethered to the material plane cause harm? To put it simply 😁, does the astral body detach completely upon brain death, or does it stay attached as long as the organs are being kept running?
And how might all of this impact the recipient?

Blood donors are healthy, living people who aren't in any rush to head to the other side. 😉
The first one was such a letdown; I really had high hopes, apparently the second one is even worse, honestly, if it wasn't for Brad, I wouldn't even bother, but just because of him, I'll force a smile and give it a watch. To be real, I’ve realized that most movies featuring a big lineup of "NAMES" end up being incredibly dull, confusing, and just plain silly, though I’m sure most film buffs have already figured that out too (don't come for me!)😁
Hey guys, is it actually normal for my teeth to be super sensitive to hot and cold two months after getting white fillings? I went to a private dentist—everything looks great, they even have an intraoral camera in the office. But still...
swiftscout8 said:Plus, I’m not looking to ditch my regular diet entirely. Like Matthew Morris28 mentioned, I honestly don't have the bandwidth to plan meals, so I end up eating just once or twice a day. That’s a bad move—it's a one-way ticket to gaining weight. Your metabolism really drags once you go too long between meals, which basically means you're burning way less energy.
Would grabbing some fruit or something similar on the go be a viable option?
Melissa Gonzalez21 said:Since I live out in the sticks, I can wander through all sorts of trails and hills whenever I want. 😁 Plus, I make sure to spend about 20 minutes every morning stretching, doing some core work, crunches, and stuff like that.
The gym is a bit of a headache for me because I’d either have to bug my brother to drive me into town or catch the bus... and honestly, I’m just too lazy to deal with that 3 or 4 times a week.
That said, I’m totally open to any advice on things I can actually do at home, though I'm not really looking to get super bulky or anything.
Working out for 20 minutes twice a day—or even 30 minutes twice a day—combined with hitting the gym 2-3 times a week definitely pays off. 🙂 But since you're already walking for over an hour every single day, I think that's a great way to make up for it. It should be more than enough to stay fit and healthy. 🙂
This movie is absolutely incredible. I’ve actually got an old VHS recording of it from way back—it’s basically a blueprint of what it looks like when one person truly lives life on their own terms. He was always at the forefront of everything, pushing the boundaries of music and staying deeply committed to the protest movement. Sure, he drank, he loved his drugs, but honestly, looking at it from any angle, that was just who he was. I could watch this film all day and night; I’m a huge fan of the band and I fully stand behind this movie.

I've got it! I'm definitely down, but it might have to wait until after Christmas if that isn't too late—things are a bit hectic on my end right now.
Just finished listening to this one. It looks like Jim is back in top form with some seriously impressive albums. Now we just have to see if he can pull off the same magic in film.
