I’m having a hell of a time with Nero 6 too! It feels incredibly glitchy. Sometimes it just refuses to burn a DVD, but then when I 🙏 it suddenly changes its mind and actually finishes the job. So weird😢
Alright everyone, it’s been three days since I officially started this "diet" (if you can even call it that). For breakfast, I’m sticking strictly to fruit—I've got plenty of tangerines, grapes, and apples sitting around the house, so I might as well use them up, though obviously not all at once! 😢 😢 Lunch is whatever my mom whips up for me; I try not to overthink the carb-to-protein ratio, and if I absolutely have to have bread, I stick to whole wheat. Dinner is usually just some fruit or a yogurt. Basically, I’m just trying to overhaul my eating habits and we'll see how long I actually last. Oh, and no sweets whatsoever—it's brutal.👍
I did! You’re moving through these posts fast. Just when I was about to reply to the first one, it vanished.
You’re probably right regarding the dictionary definition.
Luckily, my job doesn't depend on how the dictionary defines things. Whoever wrote those definitions probably wouldn't know the difference anyway. But hey, you've got a point.
I changed it because I realized I misread it. 😳 Yeah—emotions and feelings (even if they're used synonymously) are different from that "Feeling" you're describing. 🙂 (I’d call that kind of thing an inner intuition...)
Yes said:First off, feelings come faster than thoughts. And even faster than emotions. The difference is that an emotion isn't constant. It fluctuates based on duration and change. An emotion depends on your surroundings and how you react to them, or how you react to what's happening inside you. But a Feeling? That’s constant. It’s steady. It doesn't rely on reactions. In fact, it isn't a reaction at all. It’s just pure existence. It’s hard to put into words. It's more like awareness. If you learn how to observe, you'll see the distinction. It's obvious. Usually, that core Feeling sits in the background of everything you do. Emotions and thoughts just ripple across the surface of it. But it is the foundation. Being able to observe that Feeling requires a great spirit. It shows personal growth. A high level of maturity.
Best,
🙂 🙂 🙂 Agreed. That's exactly what I think. Is that "Feeling" actually the foundation of faith...? Tell me more about how one arrives at that sense. Is it something you reach through a certain mindset, or is it the very first thing—the spark that sets everything else in motion? 😉
Hmm... To's basically saying emotions and feelings are one and the same. If you don't buy that, just check a dictionary. 😉
But if you’re trying to separate raw emotions (like anger, fear, joy, or sadness) from things like empathy, universal love, devotion, or oneness, then you definitely need a different word for that second group. Calling it a "feeling"—fine, though that still feels a bit fuzzy to me.
I’m actually glad you brought up that idea of a "feeling" (maybe like a spiritual intuition or something?), because that does seem distinct from standard emotions. BUT, how can we be sure those aren't just emotions in disguise? And which comes first: the "feeling" itself, or the mental framework that triggers it?

I’m also throwing in Modest Mouse's "Modey Lemon"/"Thunder & Lightning," which has been on heavy rotation for me the last couple of months. Just pure, high-energy garage rock. Apparently, they're one of Jack White's all-time favorites.

Aside from the whole bit about watching garbage movies, that's pretty much the only good part of the film.
Thomas Diaz6 said:How long is this thing actually? I found a version that's only about 25 minutes, but I haven't sat down to watch it yet. There's no way it's really that short, right?
I lost about 20 GB when my Hard Drive crashed... but ever since then, I haven't had a single issue. I've got all the storage space I could ever need! 😁
This actually reminds me of sinus congestion 😁 during the whole treatment you just keep going >choke choke choke choke< 😂 is there some kind of connection to clearing the airways
Last night, I caught a screening of The Diary of Amelia Pullen on one of the major networks, and wow, what a beautiful movie. It really struck a chord with me because of how much she wanted to brighten everyone else's life. In that apartment building where she lived, it felt like every single neighbor had some tragic backstory or their own unique set of struggles. She poured everything she had into trying to teach people how to live right and make their lives a little more colorful, especially since everyone seemed stuck in this sort of hollow, empty existence—even if that emptiness eventually became their reality. But then there was her secret, almost mystical side to things. I actually found myself relating to her quite a bit; there was just something so captivating about that dreamy quality, especially regarding the guy she kept dreaming about and waiting for. After all that longing and imagination, he finally shows up! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend giving it a watch, though I have a feeling most of you probably have already. To me, the film is just so quirky and engaging. It’s imaginative and touches on those deep, internal things we all carry, like Amelia Pullen, perhaps finding fulfillment sooner or later through our dreams, desires...
Man, I want it so bad... like, really bad. But I always end up giving in. I clearly just don't have the willpower, which is frustrating. Last year, I somehow managed to drop 30 pounds in just three months—I honestly have no idea how I pulled it off—but then I slowly gained 20 of them back. It’s been a total disaster!
"So, you’re unhappy with your weight and you’ve been trying to slim down for a while now. But nothing's working. It's not like you expected to drop twenty pounds overnight or that it would be a walk in the park, but the fact that the scale just won't budge—combined with the feeling that your inner circle isn't really getting it or supporting you—is slowly draining your motivation. Don't throw in the towel just yet! More often than not, the real reason losing weight feels like such an uphill battle is the lack of support from the people around you. It’s tough when the people you love and care about most either ignore your efforts or, even worse, actively work against them. On the flip side, having even just one person in your corner who is on the same journey can be a total game-changer. You can track progress together, cheer each other on, or even have a little friendly competition (as long as you're keeping it healthy, obviously). Basically: find a friend who’s also struggling with their weight and tackle this beast together! Ugh, what if you feel like a lost cause because all your friends are super thin? What if you don't even have one friend who understands the struggle? There's absolutely no reason to despair—that’s exactly what the internet is for! Dive into online communities or blogs dedicated to women's health and wellness; you are guaranteed to find plenty of people going through the exact same thing. Regular chats with a friend or connecting with people online will give you that extra boost of motivation and keep you focused on your goals. Plus, seeing others hit their milestones can help keep you from getting too complacent.
Everything is just easier when you have someone by your side.
I came across this snippet in an article online recently, and I couldn't agree more. I’m actually in that situation where all my girlfriends are fit, so we're all pretty unhappy with our current weights. If anyone else is feeling the same way, shoot me an email or a DM so we can crush these goals together!!!! 👍 👍 👋
