I was absolutely on fire when I wrote my best posts🙂

I saw the kind of person I’ve always wanted to be while on ex🙂
Sometimes, it felt like life was laying out perfect little puzzles right in front of me on the grass, pieces that usually stay just out of reach
On a trip, I finally realized just how ridiculous we all actually are😁
And on heroin, I realized that the problems I deal with are actually pretty, pretty relative😁

"Which one truly lasts longer? Is it the guy who uses heroin for two years and then passes away, or the man who eats nothing but roast beef, water, and potatoes until he's 95? One spends twenty-four months existing in eternity. All the years the Beefeater lived only in time"
Aldous Huxley

What’s your take on using psychedelics or other substances (LSD, ecstasy, MDMA, weed, heroin...) as a way to expand your spiritual horizons? Anyone here have personal experiences they're willing to share?
Viktor Frankl's take on the meaning of life in Philosophy ·
Edith Weisskopf-Joelson suggests that paranoia actually stems from a desperate need for a solid life philosophy. Essentially, she’s saying the hunt for meaning is what triggers paranoia!

😕 😕

Honestly, the idea that searching for meaning causes paranoia sounds totally absurd to me. 🙄

That said, I generally find myself agreeing with Frankle on most things.

Kenneth Campbell2 said:There are only three Evil Dead films, and even the third one has three different versions. You've got the US theatrical cut where Ash heads back to the shop, then there's the international version (and the Director's Cut) where he drinks too much and wakes up in the future, plus a Director's Cut that runs about 15 minutes longer. That’s really it—that's all there is. 👍

Who would've thought! I honestly thought I was an expert on Evil Dead, but you totally schooled me. Major props to you. 😕

Brian Gonzalez7 said:No worries, I can film that for you. I actually have a pretty massive collection of horror flicks since I’m a huge fan of 80s slashers and stuff. If you're down, we could swap movie lists and see what we both have.
Just so you know, the original ending for Army of Darkness is actually different—there are two versions. In the other one, Ash Williams wakes up in the distant future after drinking too much, only to find out the whole world has been destroyed...😁

Sounds good. My email is listed on my profile, so just shoot that list over and we'll compare notes. As for movies, my collection isn't huge. I've mostly got The Matrix, Brotherhood of the Wolf, and From Dusk Till Dawn. I do have some games and a few niche titles, though.

Oh, come on, George Green36 😉 , don't you know he shares the top spot on the "world's sexiest guys" list along with Rafo 😁

<Are you seriously telling me that Linkin Park or whatever they call themselves 😎 😉
will still be exciting in another 10 years? Thank God nu-metal is dying out at warp speed, and I highly doubt we'll ever see some kind of nu-metal revival... praise the lord for that one>

That sounds perfect—let's lock in that first one. It's the missing piece for my collection. Honestly, I don't care if the quality is a bit rough, as long as it's watchable. Let me know what you want for that first disc. Also, what did you mean about having the original ending for Army of Darkness?👍

rapidmoose5 said:So, I just heard today that there are actually seven sequels to the Evil Dead 😲

Yeah, I heard that right—I even double-checked three times.

I have no clue what kind of joke this is...

Has anyone else heard about this, or has anyone actually seen them?

As far as I know, there are only three sequels to Evil Dead, including that pilot episode In the Woods. Those extra sequels people talk about probably come from that one specific website that lists pitch ideas and scripts for movies (like potential sequels for Batman, Superman, etc.), which would include stuff for Evil Dead too. :😕
Guys, I swear my brain is just a total void right now.
It’s basically an empty cavern in there. If you assume there's actually supposed to be a brain inside my skull, then that brain would have to be infinitely small—which leads us straight into the theory of an infinite universe, ultimately proving that my head is nothing more than a vast, empty cosmic vacuum.
There is absolutely nothing going on up there... zero!

Has anyone caught that new piece over on Pitchfork? They’re basically confirming a lineup for some festival up in Sweden, supposedly happening around June 18th or 20th. Honestly, folks, let’s keep our guard up and stay skeptical until we see actual proof! 😁

Brian Gonzalez7 said:This is easily one of the best franchises out there. Bruce Campbell is an absolute legend—seriously one of the greats. I actually have them on DivX if anyone’s looking to grab a copy...
Has anyone ever heard of In the Woods? It’s this pilot for the Evil Dead film that was shot a few years earlier, also starring Bruce Campbell. I’ve got a copy, but the quality is honestly terrible. If anyone happens to have a better version, please let me know!

It’s going to be tough to find a decent copy of In the Woods, whether you're hunting on DivX or even old VHS tapes. It’s a bummer. I’ve heard about that project and looked up some stills—they look pretty rough. Anyway, do you have any of the Evil Dead movies on DivX? If not, let me know which sequels you do have, and maybe we can work something out.👍 🙏

Ethan Perez97 said:I honestly don't get why a director as talented as Sam Raimi would waste his time on stuff like Darkman or Xena: Warrior Princess—it just makes zero sense to me.👎

As far as his Evil Dead films go, though? Respect. They are hands down one of the best horror franchises out there.🙂

Look, Darkman isn't actually a bad movie, but that's just your take. One thing I definitely agree on, though, is that Xena is total garbage. It’s just random clips thrown together with a rushed plot, some cheesy action, and all that nonsense, while making men look like complete idiots. It's bottom-of-the-barrel stuff. A simple plan would have been way better. He should be filming a new horror soon, but sadly, it won't be Evil Dead 4.

I haven't actually sat down to watch the first one yet, but I’ve seen the second and third installments at least a hundred times. The directing, the script, the dark humor, and that sheer amount of gore—it's all phenomenal. Does anyone else remember that specific moment where the witch from the basement grabs that savage guy and drags him under, sending blood spraying everywhere? Coll. And don't even get me started on the chainsaw decapitation, the dancing corpses, or the scene where he cuts off his own hand. Or when he's trying to hunt his hand down with a shotgun, putting holes in the wall and having blood spurt out of the woodwork. It’s absolutely horrific, brilliant, and hilarious all at once. Honestly, it blows the third movie out of the water, which felt way weaker by comparison. 👍 👍

Hornby rules!!👍
The movie is honestly okay...
The biggest plot twist is when Ian walks into the shop and you think, "Man, he's about to get absolutely wrecked," but instead, he just lets him go... total sucker punch.

Frank Howard79 said:Look, shadowgardener12, back when they played in New York City in '89, I was only 12, and my mom wouldn't let me or my sister go to the show. They didn't tour our neck of the woods again after that, and then they eventually broke up. So, I am definitely not missing this second chance. It honestly hurts my soul that I've been listening to the Pixies for decades, yet some people are just discovering them because of Fight Club, and now all these random crowds are going to swarm the concert. I just want to see them live, even if I have to be stuck in a sweaty venue full of mosquitoes.

Just look on the bright side—one less person in line for tickets. Who's next? 🙂
