Bands you absolutely disdain in Music ·
Seriously, Justin Patel, with that whole "holier-than-thou" attitude, you should probably just stop replying to this thread altogether. Why don't you go start some other topics that are actually relevant to the human race—maybe something that'll help us all evolve to a higher level while you're at it? You could even try solving world hunger, thirst, or the nuclear arms race on your way out.

And hey, maybe while you're out there, you can pick up a sense of humor too. 👋
Yeah! 👋 👋

In my personal blacklist of bands that I absolutely cannot stand, I think I might have forgotten the absolute number one at the top:
Savage Garden (seriously, who even knows them? listening to their music feels like wasting two and a half years of your life per song)

Man, look at all this flame war action 🙂 🙂 and I only started this thread twenty minutes ago

So, because I clearly have a masochistic streak, I’m going to throw in one more band that I honestly can't stand: The Beatles 😁

The Undertaker said:Everything except Radiohead and Seattle.

Anyway, this thread is pretty pathetic... you're probably going to get roasted by everyone else, so I'm staying out of it.😎

(At least, I think so...🤔 )

That’s exactly why I added a DISCLAIMER... I really don't care if someone gets seriously offended because I disdain their favorite band, nor am I going to argue with them—and I certainly won't be bickering with people who disdain the bands I actually enjoy.

Btw, feel free to tear me apart if it makes you feel better. 😉 😎

DISCLAIMER first of all: this isn't some polite debate about bands whose values or legacies you actually want to discuss. This is about the bands you disdain—the ones whose very existence and discography give you actual psychological distress.

To kick things off, here are a few of my "favorites":

Linkin Park (I don't even have the energy to comment)
Nickelback (God, just make them stop... slowly and painfully)
Radiohead (I know everyone treats them like gods, but I just can't stand them)
Good Charlotte, Sum 41, POD, etc. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Crazy Town (they’re either gross, ugly, or their one "hit" is just a cheap sample)
Creed (that Christian rock that makes you want to end up in hell)
Pearl Jam
Papa Roach
And the list goes on...

So, people, flame away....

I’ve heard that during a full Moon, people just lose their minds in psychiatric wards (they get way more feral) and that’s when you see the spike in violent crimes... basically, it pulls this raw aggression out of people...
It definitely hits me pretty hard. When I was little, I used to stay up all night during the new or full Moon phases, talking in my sleep... I don't do that anymore (hopefully! 😲), but I still feel... off...
And I think I know why—I look up, and HE is staring right at me, refusing to let me sleep 😱
Ever since I was a kid, I've been terrified of the full Moon. I’d pull down every blind and shutter in the house just to make sure he couldn't peek into my room...😁
Eating right for a better life in Health ·
Grains and legumes, along with other seeds, represent the most complete fuel for the human body... By its very nature, a seed holds everything necessary to cultivate an entire plant, because that is what it eventually becomes... We're talking about
proteins, carbs, healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, and all those essential building blocks... Since a seed is biologically designed to break down and then sprout, your body can easily process it for cellular repair and growth.
The key is to eat the whole, cooked grain...
Stick to water as your primary hydration... When you nourish yourself with seeds, your
body absorbs pure life energy and promotes positive development...
A little tip for you: try to avoid foods that start with the same first letter as your own name. If you remember anything from physics class, you know that like energies repel one another...
It’s vital to consume foods that nature specifically intended for growth. Period.

I've been doing this for🙄 👋 🙄 👋 🙄 👋 🙄 👋 years now...
Who’s actually going to take the win...? 🙂 Sebastian Vettel,🙄 Travis Pastrana,🙄 or will some old-school veteran just swoop in and wreck it for everyone else?🙂

What’s wrong with Transporter... it's a wild ride... maybe a bit over the top, but definitely worth a watch!
p.s. She's actually sane, not crazy!

"Yo Mama" too... seriously, that movie is an absolute legend. It’s right up there with things like *The Transporter* or *Fast & Furious*!

High Fidelity and ham, oh man, ham. If you ask me, 1992 isn't even close to being old.

Has this started airing anywhere yet? Has anyone actually sat down to watch it?
I'm pretty sure it's based on that (really great) novel by Michael Crichton... you know, the one that inspired Jurassic Park and all that...

The New Wave scene actually had its moment on TV back in the day—we used to get these dedicated Sunday afternoon specials, stuff like "Rock and Roller." That all changed the second Rundek went too far with his antics and flashed the camera middle finger. Suddenly, they weren't booking any New Wave bands anymore; they switched to playing Shemsa Suljakovic (or whatever that pop singer was called at the time). Needless to say, "Rock and Roller" went straight to hell.

BOA.

I caught a movie last night at the Student Union and honestly, I loved every single second of it. If only it had been longer! We actually got to hear a speech from Jergović before the screening started—really great move, I'm a big fan 👍 though Miller mentioned at the end that the whole thing leaned too hard into being overly sentimental. Personally, I didn't find it pathetic at all; it’s just genuinely fun, both for the kids back then and for the younger crowd today. The photos they displayed up at the Student Union were such a cool touch, too. The movie shows those same people as they are now, and it's wild how some of them are totally unrecognizable, while others haven't changed a bit 🙂

I actually just gave them a listen for the first time yesterday ("apocalypse Dudes"). Honestly? A bit boring. Just not my cup of tea. But there's a killer band from the US called Motorpsycho.
Wedding playlist ideas? in Music ·
Hey, nimblecanyon61, where are you working these days?
Are you by any chance free to DJ a wedding?
I feel like $300 is a bit steep too, but they're telling us that’s just the standard rate for a solid DJ. That doesn't even include the sound system (the basic setup is $267, and then two extra rooms will run us $333).
