George Garcia24 said:Time for a little trivia. Does anyone know which three tracks from the legendary Motown hit factory were covered by maybe the greatest band ever, The Beatles? And also, which two American singers have done covers of two Motown songs? Whoever guesses right—or rather, actually knows the answer—gets a Motown CD from me .
I already know the first part, but only because I looked it up on Google, so that wouldn't be fair. 😁Should I say it?
George Garcia24 said:Thanks so much for the kind email. Honestly, I bet a ton of people connect with Smokey Robinson's "The Tracks of My Tears," or how soldiers sing his stuff in that unforgettable scene from Sylvester Stone's *Platoon*. Or think about "Nowhere to Run," which shows up in movies all the time, or Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On"—which Cyndi Lauper covered—or even The Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go," famously remade by Soft Cell. Then there's "Heatwave" by Martha and the Vandellas, later covered by Linda Ronstadt, or classics like "Baby Love" and "Dancing in the Street" that have been reimagined hundreds of times. You could list a thousand examples, including the countless versions of The Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love" or Mariah Carey's take on the Jackson 5's "I'll Be There." Seriously, no independent label has ever produced that many hits or had such a massive success rate compared to their total releases. Thanks for having my back. It’s us against the primitive, backward, old-school mindset here in the States.
That music just hits different for me... it has this "something" about it that I can't quite put into words.😁 I'm not entirely sure if Otis Redding falls under the Motown umbrella (not that I'm an expert! 🙈), but man, he is absolutely incredible too.🙏
I’m a huge fan of Motown music... I don't really follow any one specific artist religiously, but those massive, iconic hits are just 😍 (Marvin Gaye - How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You), Let's Get It On, The Temptations - My Girl, The Supremes - You Keep Me Hangin' On, Jackson 5 - ABC, I Want You Back...)

I’m just talking about those protein supplements people pick up at CVS or order online. Seriously, how much testing actually goes into this stuff? We see tons of baby food hitting the shelves packed with toxic ingredients, not to mention all that GMO crap being imported everywhere. So, why should we assume something as massive a money-maker as the protein industry is actually healthy?
I want to hear from people who actually used them and then quit—how did your body react afterward? Did you notice any changes in your muscle mass? And honestly, what was the dealbreaker that made you stop?
Just asking some real questions because I want some straight answers.
Just finished my new build and I'm playing around with the i7 on air cooling. Hey Intel fans, does this look like a solid starting point for an overclock?

Does anyone know if I can go to the Post Office and get a copy of the receipt or whatever you call that slip you get when you ship a package?
Here’s the deal... I sent a package to this girl who has completely ghosted me. I accidentally tossed the receipt in the trash (total rookie mistake), and I deleted all her messages too. All I have left is her cell number, and she isn't picking up. I was wondering if there's any way to go down to the local USPS branch and verify the details that were printed on that original shipping slip?
Why is it that if I point out how ridiculous it is—like having to physically walk into a Chase branch just to cancel a savings account that you supposedly "activated" through online banking—my post gets nuked and I get banned?
Is it possible that some moderator actually works at one of these big banks and they’re just protecting their own? People talk about other major institutions too, so why just me?
Is this supposed to be a free forum for discussion, or are there certain topics that are strictly off-limits?
And honestly, this is a consumer rights issue. If they move my post over to the finance section, they'll probably just delete it anyway.

Of course, everything will be under heavy scrutiny, but I honestly think he can pull it off.🙂
Jose Miller3 said:not that anyone actually gives a damn, but after all those nasty insults thrown at sepe, the moderators, and pretty much anyone else Manny Pacquiao felt like attacking—stuff we spent days scrubbing and banning him from the restricted area for (strictly because of his language and that totally unacceptable way he talks to people)—I am dead set against giving him a second chance, or any chance for that matter.
so you want to post on forums? cool, go find some other place where you haven't spent three months insulting about 20 different moderators 🤷 you're an adult, great, happy birthday, now try learning how to deal with the consequences of your own actions.
Sepa is basically the only moderator on the Formula 1 board, and if you look at the post I quoted above, you can see where he's coming from. It seems like we just want to grant him access to that one specific Formula PDF and nothing else. To me, that feels fair—it keeps things controlled and ensures he won't have any way to offend other members on Reddit. He has actually improved his behavior, and even though Mommy was being harsh toward him, he chose to forgive her. Honestly, I think we should give him another chance. Just one more chance, that's all I'm asking for.It wouldn’t even be that hard to permaban him again if he starts acting up.
Honestly, it breaks my heart to see Cleveland playing this poorly. Look, they aren’t exactly world-beaters either, but since they don't have that one dominant powerhouse in the league anymore, our main rivals are suddenly Budweiser and Savannah... are you kidding me?! When was the last time that was even remotely true? I really hope Cleveland turns things around, and I actually want to see the Los Angeles Dodgers get stronger too—it's better for Major League Soccer as a whole. If the league stays like this, we're just heading straight for disaster.I honestly can't stand anyone who actually gave that idiot Tim Cook a shot at running the league!
I honestly think he’s matured quite a bit. It doesn't feel like he'll be causing drama anymore because, from where I'm standing, he's been through enough. He's seen what life is like without the community, and now that he knows how much he missed, I don't think he'll go back to acting out or being foolish. I'd really like to ask everyone else to give him one more chance.
I, Maminho, want to offer my sincere apologies to the entire Reddit moderation team. I’d like to use this space to apologize to every single user here whom I may have offended, whether directly or indirectly.
I’ve made mistakes on this platform, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But I believe everyone deserves a second chance—and that includes me.
I am reaching out to ask if you would consider unbanning me, because being unable to participate here is honestly pretty rough.😢 Please try to see things from my perspective and imagine how much I miss being part of this community. This was actually the very first site I ever joined, which makes it hold a special place in my heart; it really is my favorite corner of the internet.🙂
To start, I’d like to humbly ask if you could grant me access to the designated area for banned users,🙂 as I really don't want to resort to making burner accounts just to get in touch with the mods and admins.😢
I am more than willing to serve a probationary period so you can see for yourselves that I've changed.🙂 I’m not that same person anymore; I've grown up and learned to be much more respectful.☕😉
With the hope that you might lift my permanent ban, your loyal member, Maminho
P.S. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone in this community!
Getting my account back would truly be the best gift you could give me.
