Watched it last night. Solid 3/5 rating.

The story itself isn't bad—it’s just one of those horror flicks where they try to jump-scare you with some monster and a loud noise every few minutes. It doesn't really maintain that constant, creeping dread that I usually look for in a good horror movie...

As for the lead actor—you know, Jeffrey Dean Morgan from 'The Walking Dead'—I didn't think he really stood out in this one.

Just saw the page for this one—looks like a solid watch... definitely keeping it on my radar for later this summer.

Drama / Thriller / Western release date : June 1

release date: June 1, 2021

Potter's Field is this mystery-driven drama about a group of Union marauders during the final days of the Civil War—they head out on this high-stakes mission to dig up some ancient treasure... but turns out, luck can be a double-edged sword. These guys quickly realize that some secrets really ought to stay buried...

Just waiting on the translation to drop so I can finally watch this—looks pretty interesting...

Just finished watching. It was good. 👍 He’s giving off major John Wick vibes—actually, I stopped halfway through the last one, can't even remember why... but this guy? Pure charisma. He really carried the whole movie.

If you're into Lovecraftian Cthulhu, you might actually dig the visuals by the end (but honestly, only once you get to the very end 😁)

Honestly, I don't mind that style—I actually dig movies that don't overexplain the "how" and "why" (getting straight to the point, you know?). But man, what killed it for me was how the entire movie was just pitch black... plus, there was zero tension where there should've been plenty...

I usually love this kind of stuff, but this was too amateurish to actually enjoy.

Same here...

mellowskipper said:The movie was just stupid and repulsive. Truly. Honestly, why on earth did I feel compelled to sit through this? I probably would have been better off just doing the laundry or something equally productive...

I try to stay away from anything too sleazy. A movie can be a horror all it wants, but if there's Crime Scene involved, I'm out😒...

Oh, so this thread actually exists👍>

Gonna download this right now—mostly just to see Hilary Swank in action

Honestly, though? This isn't even a horror movie. IMDb totally played me

It’s a solid film regardless... it just isn't horror

Three stories woven together across space and time—diving deep into dark, forbidden lands.

Barker's Horror. I probably shouldn't be watching this...🐔

If you loved the '92 classic "Confectioner," mark your calendars—the direct sequel drops August 27th...

It's based on a book by Clive Barker (Hellraiser)

Basically, it’s a "spiritual sequel" to the 1992 horror hit Candyman, heading back to that same gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the whole legend kicked off.

It’s about this young girl who can't hear, until she gets a visit from The Virgin Mary—suddenly, she can hear, talk, and even heal people. But of course, things take a dark turn when crowds start showing up for the miracles... you have to wonder if it's actually divine intervention or just something way more sinister.

Cast: Jeffrey Dean Morgan

It's doing really well at the US box office right now

The first two are solid, though that third one was pretty much garbage. Just found out the fourth is actually in post-production—should be dropping later this year...

Jeepers Creepers: Reborn 2021
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14121726/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_4

While traveling with her boyfriend, Laine, she starts getting these creepy premonitions tied to the legend of The Creeper. Laine is convinced something supernatural has been unleashed—and that she’s right in the middle of it all.

Japanese person before the big win

Japanese Macuje heads into the final day sitting at the top with a -11

Rosa dropped down to -7

Spit -5

McIlroy is totally falling apart. Out after just two days.

Great battle at the top though—Rosa is still holding onto first, but I’ve got a feeling Spit might pull it off...

bluebison47 said:Is anyone actually keeping track of how Rosa played to hit -7?🙏

I didn't catch the action today—but I did see that Spit is outperforming McIlroy...

I’ve actually got some pretty interesting ideas myself... how do I go about getting hired over there?

Thomas Hayes said:First off, the acting is just painful. I get it—these are action flicks where you aren't supposed to overthink things, but I can't help feeling bad for everyone having to deliver such incredibly wooden dialogue...

In the first movie, Vin Diesel was actually great. I’ll never forget that performance.

I caught about 30 minutes of Birdman before turning it off. Was debating whether to download the whole thing and finish it... decided against it.

Honestly, I was a bit lost on how he actually flies? Like, that part where he jumps off the building and just loops around... didn't quite click for me.🤣

Thomas Hayes said:uff, most superhero movies—except Batman, obviously—plus the Fast and Furious series.
Honestly, it makes me sick... I can't wait for this whole action trash trend to finally die out.

Oh, and Fast and Furious is actually a perfect example. The first three were solid, but after that? They just pivoted from street racing to straight-up crime and heist stuff. It has nothing to do with racing anymore (which is what I'm actually into).

Just remembered something

Man of Steel
