He’s got a novel called NOS4A2 that was turned into a two-season series—it's actually pretty decent—and then there's Horns, which also hit the screen starring Harry Potter. Two of his novels, heart-shaped box and The Fireman, are still waiting on movie deals even though the rights were picked up ages ago. Both heart-shaped box and NOS4A2 have been published here in the States.
I'm strictly a movie guy—don't really touch books...👍

I feel like we've already traumatized an entire generation of kids with that imagery. I was driving my little girl to practice a few weeks ago and parked near one of those vans, and she just looks at me and asks, "Why there? Do you want someone to kidnap me?"
That almost happened to me once—some random guy actually called out to me to come over toward a van while I was walking home from school.
Just watched it. It’s not bad—not a masterpiece by any means, but definitely not the worst thing I've seen lately. Honestly, out of the last five horror flicks I’ve sat through, this might actually be the best one... It kind of gives off those It vibes right at the start.

The movie is watchable enough, though perhaps not much more than that, given how many missed opportunities there seem to be. Both Uncharted and Tomb Raider might have achieved that legendary cult status enjoyed by Indiana Jones if they had been handled by someone who truly understood the genre, but unfortunately, not everyone is a Spielberg.
Unlike Indiana Jones, these two were clearly made just to squeeze a few more bucks out of gamers.
A modern take on hell... just handing over other "patients" to avoid being torn apart oneself, I suppose. A solid 6.5/10. The ending carries a bit of a lesson. 😁
A modern-day version of hell... you basically throw other "patients" under the bus just to avoid being torn apart yourself—6.5/10. That ending really sticks with you, though. 😁[/I]
I wasn't even going to give this one a shot since it’s British—but honestly, nothing else better was hitting theaters anyway... so I checked it out and I'm glad I did. No regrets at all.
It hits exactly what the IMDb description says: drama, horror, and mystery...
