Looks like the bullying just won't stop.

KLCCLK, since when did being ironic count as trolling?
On the topic: "Politics/BlsokoPolitici/Why bother explicitly using feminine nouns for professions when it's totally unnecessary?"

Man, I’m actually getting slapped with two warnings for posts that have already been deleted! Seriously?

KLCCLK said:Hey Jack Cook7,

Yo, just a heads-up—you've caught an Active Infraction over on Reddit.

Reason: Trolling

This Active Infraction is worth 35 points and could land you with restricted access until it expires. Just a heads-up: serious infractions stay on your record forever.

Original Post:
Since you only provided a link to a forum thread without any specific text to rewrite, I can't craft the post for you yet! Please **paste the actual text** from the thread that you want me to transform. Once you do, I'll jump right in and rewrite it using that rambling, punchy, and super casual voice while making sure everything is set firmly in the US.
Quote: I don't get it. said:Hey Klonka, are you a guy or a girl? Honestly, as a dude, I don't give gender equality a second thought—I figured that kind of stuff hits a lot closer to home for women, right?

So, why are we still stuck on this whole male/female binary thing? Seriously, why?

Maybe Klonka is just bouncing around the 60 mark, so does that mean we've officially scientifically discovered gender categories now?

Do you even realize how aggressive and discriminatory that question of yours actually is? 🙂

PS: Klonka, I’m totally backing you up on this. These intrusions are absolutely insane. Honestly, I'm just disgusted that stuff like this can even happen in 2017. We seriously need to band together and actually do something about it next year.

Best of luck!

Quote: Lord Byron said:In a society where a whole bunch of traits are still being pushed in mainstream media with stuff like "do it like a man!", any push for equality is honestly pretty welcome.

Yeah, that’s straight-up discrimination. 👍

We should probably pass some Human Rights laws to ban all that and only allow statements like:

"Go ahead and do it like one of those 60 gender-fluid identities that you couldn't care less about and will totally ditch the second another group offers you enough cash."

The movie "Die Hard" (which is actually a mistranslation if you think about it, but let's roll with it) should really be translated as:

"Evidence of how the paleo-animal leftovers of our distant, primitive binary ancestors refuse to rationally accept the progress of civilization—specifically, the idea that violence is unnecessary to achieve what's obviously only possible if you possessed at least one third eye."

All the best,
Reddit

So, looking at both posts, it's clearly an ironic jab at this gender ideology that denies biological binary and treats gender as a social construct—something they then try to force people into using a Procrustean method.

So, I've got a few questions for KLCCLK:

(A). If someone can be dead serious about questioning the binary nature of sex, why is it a punishable offense to use irony regarding the same topic?

(B). And if irony isn't supposed to be punished, why aren't my two posts treated with the same seriousness as all those other people advocating for gender as a socially conditioned construct?

(C). Or does this mean it's now illegal to even mention non-binary sex/gender constructs? Unless, of course, you belong to that chosen elite class that the media talks about every single day?

(4). Or is clear irony just automatically flagged as trolling now?

It's worth noting that these posts were made on Dec 28 and Dec 30, while KLCCLK handed out the warnings on Jan 03 at 1:00 PM—just five hours after the last warning from TheProvense on Jan 03 at 8:00 AM.

That really makes me suspect these warnings are just a way for certain moderators to settle scores regarding the thread I started about how moderation works on Politics/World (and other subreddits), where certain people get special treatment while everyone else gets scrutinized over every little thing.

This is especially obvious in threads that oppose Western liberal ideology, which I can easily prove with a mountain of warnings like these two I just caught on exactly those kinds of topics. Any kind of ironic distance—not to mention satire regarding liberalism—gets hit with a pile of warnings.

If that's how it works, then please, just add this to the Politics rules: "Mocking the postulates of liberal ideology is not permitted."

It's important to point out that I've noticed a specific pattern in moderation, which I could demonstrate perfectly if I actually had access to all my warnings, the penalty descriptions, and the discussions. Unfortunately, regular users don't have access to a panel showing more than five previous warnings, and PMs fill up way too fast, so proving this is basically impossible right now. Unless, of course, a super-mod or an admin decides to pull the PM and warning archives from the backup.

Anyway, here’s how the game is played:

- some moderator picks a fight with me for whatever reason and starts handing out bans—whether they actually make sense or not.
- once I appeal and start making a scene, a second moderator takes over the banning duty, then a third one steps in...
- and of course, the rules magically shift to fit the moment. (Basically, they'll punish you for anything just to pad the stats.)

The goal is simple:
- paint the user as a troublemaker.
- rotate through different moderators handing out the bans so nobody can claim there's any bias.

This thread is a perfect case study for all four tactics:
- inconsistent criteria (look at what happened with Sam Alvarez4)
- bending the rules, even digging up old posts for "re-reviews" (shoutout to KLCCLK for providing such a clear example)
- just piling on the bans to prove a user is problematic, aiming for a cumulative ban, then using the sheer volume of strikes to "prove" the user is bad.
- swapping out moderators to make it look like everyone agrees on how much of a problem the user is.

In this whole mess, my hands are often tied because, like I said,
- users don't have access to old bans to actually analyze how the mods are behaving.
- most links in the ban notices are one-way streets that lead to private messages (even if the content technically exists in the archives).
- the only paper trail is the penalty notice in the inbox, which fills up so fast you're forced to delete stuff.
- and often, the banned posts contain links to the exact posts that triggered the reaction, but those links mysteriously "disappear," just like I demonstrated with Sam Alvarez4.

So, the only way I can actually bring this into the light is exactly what I'm doing now: posting everything in a thread like this where the mods don't have the power to delete it.

So, I’m asking KLCCLK to weigh in on questions (A), (B), (C), and (D) above.
And specifically, how does the actual penalty only arrive five days later, after a whole string of bans from TheProvense?

I later pointed out that those claims were shaky at best.
Sam Alvarez4 said:Wrong.
The British were actually pulling the strings behind the Islamists and their Marxist allies back in '79.

France made a mistake by taking in Khomeini at the request of the late Shah.
Basically, Pahlavi thought that by distancing himself from Iran, he’d quiet down the Islamists.

Once the Islamists took over, Khomeini—unlike Pahlavi—didn't have a single doubt about wiping out anyone standing in his way. Just like Khamenei hasn't had any doubts today. I mean, he hasn't since '81, ever since he took power.

Jack Cook7
That's factually incorrect.

Khomeini was living in exile in Iraq / Majaf from around 1964.
...
Back when Saddam sent Khomeini to France in 1978, Pahlavi was seriously ill with cancer, and for years (since about 1974), he was barely even lucid enough to make a decent decision.

Besides, even the first Prime Minister, Sadr, ended up in France after his sudden death.

Still no word from the mods, even though I actually dropped links while Sam Alvarez4 just threw out random claims that are basically impossible to verify.

Hey, supermods/admins,

can someone check if my reports on Sam Alvarez4's posts reached the mod queue? There aren't many reports, aside from those three I mentioned above—and then poof, they magically vanished from those threads. Now there's only...😢

Hmm, honestly, my memory's a bit fuzzy... can you guys tell me how many reports I filed regarding Sam Alvarez4's posts yesterday and overnight? I get this feeling that someone is scrubbing the reports. Just give me the number, you don't have to say which specific posts they're for.

Look, personally, I don't really care if someone’s got beef with one side while blindly backing the other. That's their prerogative—whether it's because of their beliefs, pure ignorance, personal grudges, or because they're on some payroll.

I’m just asking for some consistency here.

If someone keeps calling me a troll or a liar even when I’m dropping actual sources—and yeah, I even correct myself when I realize a source is biased or wrong—but then *I'm* the one getting slapped with bans just because I forgot a link or called someone out for being an immature brat with trash arguments... well, where's the disconnect? Is it the users on @Antilles or is it the mods?

I never complain when I get flagged for a technical slip-up or if I actually cross the line into being offensive (if I'm not sure, I'll just shoot a PM to ask for clarification). What I am asking for is: stop deleting my posts! I spend thirty minutes or more pouring my heart into a reply, only for it to go *poof*.

So, I decided to intentionally stir the pot and rack up a bunch of flags. Let's go, ladies and gentlemen—it's time to align the rules, because this back-and-forth has been dragging on way too long.

Posting a link like that just to bait people into trolling? That's an instant ban. No debate about it, period.

Clean slate for an ad hominem charge! Totally spotless.

I really hope I don't have to comment on that colorful little warning you just got for quoting the mod's post in a different color. Seriously!

Look, didn't I already say I’m fine with all three bans because, technically speaking, they're legit? But honestly, @Antilles shouldn't even be getting flagged for any of those three reports. Even though her posts are total garbage—they don't have links and they're just straight-up insults without a shred of proof—she doesn't fit the criteria for those specific violations. Just my two cents!

And get this—check out the magic happening here! All three of her reported posts—one about Iran and two about Israel—have completely vanished into thin air. But wouldn't you know it? A brand-new one about Israel just popped up!
Quote : @Antilles
Quote : @Antilles I can't believe I'm actually seeing this happen right now. It’s like we're living in some weird fever dream where nothing makes sense anymore. Seriously, does anyone else feel that? Everything is just... chaotic. And don't even get me started on what the mainstream media is feeding us. They'll tell you one thing, then flip the script five minutes later like they didn't just lie to your face. It's exhausting! You have to dig through everything yourself if you want the actual truth. Anyway, I was scrolling through Reddit earlier and saw some guy—Jack Cook7—trying to argue about this, and honestly? Total nonsense. Like, come on, man. Get real. People are just out here making things up to sound smart. It’s wild how fast things move these days. One minute everything seems fine, and the next, the whole political landscape shifts under your feet. Just stay sharp, folks. Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes.

Where's the link? Send it over!

So, get this—the Republican party in the US has quietly passed a resolution. It’s basically a massive push for lawmakers to go ahead and formally annex all those settlements in the West Bank. Benjamin Netanyahu’s crew is totally unified on this one. Seriously, things are moving fast.
The Republican party in the US has quietly passed a resolution asking Congress to just go ahead and annex those Jewish settlements in the West Bank. Seriously, things are moving fast.
Not again with Zone C... seriously?
Coincidence? Please. If she didn't get slapped with a ban for those two posts I mentioned regarding Israel, how on earth did she know exactly what I was talking about? Did she just happen to be lurking in this thread, or did someone give her a little heads-up behind the scenes?

Look, I'm telling you, it’s not your job to call everyone out for trolling. You aren't the moderator here! If there’s a post that bugs you or just doesn't fit the topic, just hit the report button and move on. Seriously, just ignore it. I'm emphasizing the "ignore" part because we follow the article 5 rule pdf around here. Politics is wild enough without you trying to police everything.
Look, my whole complaint was basically about getting treated differently than everyone else.

Look, I already said it earlier—I went out of my way to bait two extra 65-point strikes on top of that initial 35-pointer (which was just as "orderly," by the way). I did it purely to shine a light on how @Antilles acts and the total double standards we're seeing with moderation around here. If they can pull those moves on me, then she should be held to the exact same standard. Period.

And now, of course, there’s no way to tell if she actually got carded because her original posts were wiped clean. So I’m just stuck here wondering whether she actually caught those strikes or not, even though the whole point of the appeal is that they used double standards! Hmm, what exactly is wrong with that logic, Charles Fox10?

Quote : @Antilles
Just a quick heads-up for anyone wondering—we aren't about to spill the tea on who else got slapped with warnings or bans in this thread, nor are we giving you the play-by-play on how many posts were nuked or what other mod stuff went down. We're keeping that behind the curtain!
Like I said. Every single one of her posts that’s technically wrong, insulting, rude, or just plain disrespectful is getting reported until she either learns how to act right or gets sanctioned just like any other user on this forum for acting out.

Talk soon.

Look, I’m not even asking to have my penalties wiped. Technically speaking, all three cards I got were valid, and I already admitted that.

What I am looking for is consistent standards when it comes to @Antilles.

1. If I’m getting flagged for technicalities—like when I didn't include a direct link for a claim, even if I was just replying to someone else's post that had the link right there or I was posting directly under it without explicitly quoting the URL—then I want those exact same rules applied to @Antilles.

2. And if I got hit because I supposedly took things personally, even though I was staying on topic here (which I pointed out when I was cited in this thread), then I'm asking for that same standard to be used for @Antilles, just like I quoted.

You guys saw the three reports I filed today against @Antilles' posts. Each one was worth about 30 to 35 points, the same as mine. Whether it's technical errors or just straight-up disrespecting other users, let's keep it fair.

First, looking back at my post where I dropped the link:

@Antilles hits me back with a flat-out denial without providing a single link:
@Antilles
What Knesset? What law?
It’s not even a Likud resolution about the "West Bank." It's about Zone C within the West Bank.

Seriously, stop spreading Twitter misinformation!

Which is
1. Technically garbage because she didn't attach a link to back up her claim. Plus, she basically confirmed what I said about the annexation—she just tried to nitpick it by saying, "it's not the West Bank, it's Zone C in the West Bank." What is that, like saying "it's not a head, it's a neck"?

2. Once again, getting condescending and insulting by throwing around the phrase "spreading misinformation."

After I reacted:
Jack Cook7
Oh, so it's not the West Bank, it's "Zone C in the West Bank."

By the way, how much did they secure in funding back in 2018 for tearing down settlements and displacing Palestinians to build more Jewish colonies in occupied territories?

It's not a head, it's a neck. Classic @Antilles.

Then comes her response:
@Antilles
@JackCook7

1. The Knesset passed a law to annex the West Bank.
Lie.

2. The Republican party in the US passed a resolution to annex the West Bank.
Lie.

Whether you're lying on purpose or just being ignorant, only you know that.

That's all from me.

1. So @Antilles is AGAIN making claims without any links—so yeah, technically a useless post.

2. Again, the insults and the condescension ("whether you're lying on purpose or just being ignorant...").

And once again, zero consequences.

How long are you guys going to let @Antilles act like this on the forum? What kind of person behaves this way? Would you tolerate someone like this in real life?
Politics / World, The Provence mod, systematic trolling in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Maria Reyes35 said:Where exactly is the trolling?

Well, maybe in the fact that you're publicly airing your opinions and analyzing other users on this board...

Yeah, specifically in what you wrote yourself in that blue warning before handing me a strike just because I commented on how things are being moderated in the thread. Technically, I wasn't breaking any rules, but it’s the only way to actually get people to notice since basically nobody ever looks at the formal complaints.

stop jumping down @Antilles' throat!

Maybe she should stop "jumping" at me! Every single time, @Antilles dismisses someone or calls them a troll just because they don't fit her agenda. Generally, I stay away from that kind of back-and-forth (in real life too) and usually just drop links that prove—or disprove—my point, but enough is enough.

Right, so apparently the NCRI is some holy grail of information just because Fox News picked it up, but if I share tweets from people who have proven themselves reliable over the years (even if they're biased), suddenly I'm the one being discredited. Has she ever even gotten a warning for acting like that? Not once.
I'm pretty easygoing, but I won't allow discussions to turn personal on the boards I moderate...

Don't like what @Antilles is writing?

Just hit the report button, ignore her, or shut her down with better arguments...

But I won't tolerate anyone making personal jabs about her like she's some bratty teenager.

Look, I don't allow anyone to take things personally either, and @Antilles can go vent her frustrations somewhere else instead of taking them out on me. And when things *do* get personal, I expect everyone to be held to the same standard. Whether I report it or not shouldn't matter.

The fact that she's been acting like a total brat in these threads for years is common knowledge. You can find tons of posts where she does the exact same thing—discrediting anyone who dares to disagree with her. That's not how you treat people; in the real world, you'd be cut off after the first warning. If that's how her social circle works, then count me out, because I avoid toxic people like that whenever I can.

So, yeah, I just threw away 65 points on top of my initial 35 just to get this settled once and for all.

This guy Par is basically a professional troll. He just goes around insulting anyone who doesn't jump through his hoops on the Politics/World boards. It’s always the same deal when the topics touch on defending "Western values"—he just parrots whatever the mainstream media spits out. You know the drill: they drop some "breaking news" based on "high-ranking anonymous sources close to the administration," and he treats it like gospel. Honestly, it's getting old. Even @Antilles can't escape his nonsense.

That whole thing was pushed hard during Trump's campaign and throughout his presidency—everyone knows it as that "Russia collusion" nonsense. But now that it’s become crystal clear that most of it was just rogue elements within the FBI, NSA, and CIA acting out, the term "Russia collusion" has basically turned into a catch-all label. It's become shorthand for spreading fake news and half-truths just to manipulate the public and stir up a massive witch hunt against anyone the establishment doesn't like.

So, basically, rowdytiger13 just dropped this news from Fox News:
Quote : @Antilles
rowdytiger13 said:Word on the street is that some leaked notes just surfaced from a high-level meeting between the Iranian leadership, top political brass, and security chiefs. They're talking about how things are shifting and people are basically begging for some kind of backup. It’s heavy stuff, honestly. Just one of those stories that makes you stop scrolling and actually think about where everything is heading. Total madness.

I flagged it as Fake News because of where it came from and that blatant, proven bias over at Fox News. It’s just too obvious.
Quote : @Antilles
Jack Cook7 said:I bet those high-level Fox News leaks were handed over by Russia, all thanks to that whole "Russian collusion" mess. Honestly, it’s wild. On top of that, Russian hackers probably cracked everyone's phones and laptops right while they were busy sending those... uh, "revealing" photos to teenagers. Maybe the Russians are even laundering cash for the Iranian Ayatollahs and using mules to keep them under their thumb? Just goes to show how messy things get.

Total CIA plant. Or let's just call it what it actually is: straight-up agitprop and pure black propaganda.

Why do people even bother treating the mainstream media like they’re some kind of ultimate truth? Seriously. On one hand, you've got the usual suspects, and on the other, you've got Press TV or Fars News from Iran acting just as convincing. It's all a mess!

Look, if I even say something like, "Hey, a supposed source from the top brass in Iran sent me this info," and then post it here, I’d get slapped with a ban for trolling faster than you can blink. Like, seriously. Is Fox News any better? Please.

And that's exactly where @Antilles is going with this, trying to pitch the NCRI—you know, that "opposition group in exile" from Iran—as some kind of legit, trustworthy source of info. Give me a break!

Quote : @Antilles
Quote : @Antilles said:So, I just heard through the grapevine that... I can't even begin to process this one. Just... wow. Total nonsense..
Look, I don't trust them as far as I can throw them—honestly, their stories speak for themselves—but you have to admit, it’s pretty damn logical that a repressive regime isn't going to play nice when they're trying to crush protests. Especially when those protesters actually have legitimate demands. It just makes sense.

My take on this:
Quote : @Antilles
Jack Cook7 said:I mean, obviously there’s going to be talk about "Russian collusion" floating around. That’s what CNN and the New York Times are out there screaming about. And people actually believe them because they think, "Hey, it's the US, they wouldn't lie about stuff like this." They assume since we aren't some repressive regime, everything must be legit. Like, in a free and democratic society, you don't have anything to worry about if you're an honest person, right? Please. They’ve got eyes on everyone, 24/7. It's wild.

So, @Antilles is out here acting all "surprised" about where this whole Russian collusion thing came from—as if we can't all see the mainstream media pulling the strings right in front of our faces. It’s such a joke! And then, of course, they try to flip the script entirely, pivoting away from the actual issue just to claim I'm the one trolling. Typical move, honestly.

Kaiser - appealing someone else's ban in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Nick "Kaiser" got banned and silenced on the news forums, even though if you ask me, he wasn't even doing anything wrong.

I honestly have no clue why they slapped him with a ban. Can someone please give me an explanation?
Bradley Sanders4 said:I pulled it down because it was just pure speculation without any actual facts, and frankly, it didn't meet the standards for this subforum. You should probably try posting over on the Alternative board instead.

Look, the thread was fully backed up with direct quotes from the organizers' own website, so it totally met the criteria.

I specifically pointed to those quotes and made it clear I think they’re just more moves by that "globalist NWO" crowd hanging out around George Soros and his buddies. Hey, I'm allowed to have an opinion! You guys can keep the "conspiracy theory and lizard" board for someone else. Why? Because:

1. The second-to-last time I called out the NWO crew for being behind mass riots, it was during Ukraine 2014. Back then, I got hammered by the mods for my views—mostly because I used a bit of irony. Well, guess what? Turns out I was right.

2. The second-to-last time I said George Soros and the NWO gang were pulling the strings behind the massive "immigration" wave of so-called "scientist refugees" from Syria, claiming the whole thing was a setup... I provided links and proof from actual websites. Got trashed by the mods. Insulted. And in the end? I was right again. Not even a "sorry" from them. Do I seriously need to provide a mountain of evidence every single time?

3. Then there was that thread about Donald Trump. That drama is still going on. Same NWO crew. Same story.

4. You've got the Politics/World/Next Color Revolution thread. It's all documented. It's still active. It might not be the hottest topic, but the proof is staring you in the face.

5. The Syria thread. Fully documented. We actually managed to predict the moves of every side in that chaotic mess a year or two before they happened. Once again, it was the same NWO players on the other side.

6. And now here we are with this "march for science" thing—same crowd. I’m quoting their own site directly in the thread, and it’s blatant: same playbook, same methods, same actors, and the same way they hide who’s actually calling the shots—exactly like they did with the "refugees." And now you’re telling me this belongs in the "conspiracy theory and lizard" section because it’s too speculative? Isn't the whole point of a forum to let people share what they find and how they found it? What, am I supposed to write a PhD dissertation with forensic evidence just to start a discussion?

========

After all these years of seeing the exact same patterns, motives, and players pop up in Politics, do you guys honestly think you sound credible with this kind of moderation?

Or do you realize you sound like—and I mean this as a caricature of your condescending tone—someone obsessed with a conspiracy theory that "some mysterious person hiding in the shadows wants you and everyone else to be well—even though all signs show society is falling apart"?

See how easily those kinds of insults can be flipped back on you?

How many more times do we have to state the obvious after all this time?

===================

Just for the record, I've never actually supported almost any "alternative" theories—not the vaccine stuff, not aliens, not lizards, not even Alex Jones, except when I'm being sarcastic. But if you want to talk about big pharma companies dictating vaccination policies just to pad their bottom lines? Yeah, I'm definitely worried about that, and I've said it, shown it, and meant it.
My thread in Politics, "Politics/march for science - just another Soros scam?" was nuked.

Seriously, can someone tell me why it got deleted?

Chinese Discovered Fake Gold Bars of Tungsten in 2009
Sunday, September 30, 2012 16:22

old Finger – A New Take On Operation Grand Slam With A Tungsten Twist

I’ve already talked about those weird physical gold settlements happening over in London back in the first week of October, 2009. Basically, these deals involved at least one Federal Reserve [The Bank of England] stepping in to fix things up for J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank—who straight-up DID NOT actually have the gold bullion they’d sold short and promised to deliver. At the same time, I flagged two other super sketchy situations:

1] - Weird glitches in the gold ETF – GLD’s bar list between Sept. 25 and Oct. 14. One minute the list is 1,381 pages long, then suddenly it drops to under 200, and then jumps right back up to around 800 pages. Total chaos.

2] - Reports popping up about 400 oz. “good delivery” gold bricks being found hollowed out and stuffed with tungsten inside LBMA-approved vaults in Hong Kong.

Why Tungsten?

Think about it: if you were planning to make "fake" gold bars, tungsten is the perfect go-to. It’s only about $10 a pound, and since its density is almost identical to gold, you couldn't tell a fake bar salted with tungsten from a real solid gold bar just by putting it on a scale. Smart, but dirty.

But wait, it gets even uglier.

When the word first got out about those tungsten-filled gold bars in Hong Kong, everyone I know immediately jumped to the conclusion that they were made in China—mostly because everyone sees China as the "knock-off capital of the world."

But here is the real story as I see it now:

We're talking about somewhere between 5,600 and 5,700 of these "salted" 400 oz. good delivery bars—that's roughly 60 metric tons!

This wasn't some amateur job; it looks like a massive, highly organized criminal operation with deep pockets.

And get this—Within Mera Hours of this scam being identified – Chinese officials Had many of The perpetrators in custody.

Some "democratic" capitalists just walked off with 60 tons of gold. The article even mentions Deutsche Bank.

Look, I’ve dealt with all sorts of moderator calls over the years—some fair, some totally off-base.

But honestly, I need to clear the air regarding how northernsailor8 runs things. It feels like some mods are questioning my actual credibility as a user just because I picked up a few "infractions."

The latest nonsense went down right here:

I don't even want to bother replying to you since I've already said everything there is to say.

Technically, replying to the thread should be fine, but they won't let me.
Check out the proof:
Jack Cook7, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

As I recall from back in the day, the rule was that you couldn't jump into an appeal thread unless you were the one actually being sanctioned.

But if you ban the person who was actually hit with the penalty from responding in their own appeal thread, then what's the point of having an appeal process at all? It's bizarre. If the penalized person can't speak, and a "representative" can't speak either, then who exactly is allowed to file an appeal? Who?!

Bottom line: given how much certain people love to play power games on this site, I think we need a dedicated subforum for a "complaint book." We need a place where users can actually comment on how moderators are doing their jobs to keep things up to standard.

Basically, if the mods get to have their private little club to talk about users, then users deserve a subforum to talk about the mods. The mods can see it, sure, but they shouldn't have the power to hand out sanctions just for posting there.

I don't even know who they are or where they went, but man, my heart goes out to them.

Hogare, look, I'm a tech guy, so I can wrap my head around your poetic little observations to an extent, though that whole "suicide" bit feels like a cheap excuse for people who are just obsessed with those crazy floating interest rates back in the day.

And honestly, I still think every single thread on Politics is basically just a duplicate anyway.

Maybe this explains where the whole mess started:

http://www.reddit.com/showpost.php?p=59090687&postcount=2
The user you’re talking about actually has 338 posts on Reddit. You can't find them because the internal search tool is broken (we're dealing with some issues there), and since his handle is "Anonymous," you probably just typed the wrong thing. Plus, we did end up deleting some of his stuff.

Look, it's not like I typed the wrong thing into the site's search bar—I don't even bother using the built-in search because, let's be real, it's been useless for years. Long story short, someone is pulling the owner's leg, but hey, that's not my circus, not my monkeys.

I used Google, which—believe it or not—indexes basically everything you type onto your search/cache engine within seconds. Usually, spider-bots crawl websites once every 24 hours, so why on earth would Reddit be so special that it needs to be scanned every single minute? Don't ask me.

And then, suddenly, Google shows that "Anonymous" doesn't exist on Reddit, his posts are gone, and the argument I had with him is nowhere to be found. Then, out of nowhere, I get slapped with a couple of warnings for an argument with Anonymous that I can't even prove happened anymore. Then the mods tell me they were "cleaning up" some of Anonymous's posts, which supposedly explains why I couldn't even log in for a few hours (it's all documented in the official complaint logs). So yeah, just a few hours of being locked out and unable to log in normally.

Google is smart enough to show results for both "anonymous" and "anon ymer." But I can't prove it because, honestly, I didn't think taking a screenshot at that exact moment was necessary. And even if I had, it wouldn't really count as proof anyway.
