Charles Fox10 said:You can't seriously expect us to sit here and write out a massive list of banned terms when it’s already obvious they fall under that umbrella.

Charles Fox10
If you call someone in this Ukraine conflict a thug, a fascist, or a Nazi... yeah, you're looking at a minimum ban for breaking the rules.

Look, I get all that, really I do. But my questions from the jump have been pretty straightforward.

Take this: if a country, a government, or some specific group of people is super chill with drug users or actually promotes drug production—whether it's official policy or just the vibe—can I call that culture "junkie culture"? Or maybe even "pro-drug"?

Basically, am I allowed to say on this forum that Western culture is junkie-driven? Whatever "Western culture" actually means in this context.

And following that logic, can I say everyone representing that culture is basically a representative of addiction?

That’s the whole point of why I started this thread. I just want us to be crystal clear about the criteria for handing out bans.

Why is it totally fine to ignore someone calling another guy a total extremist based on zero facts, but if I call someone a junkie, I get slapped with a penalty?
Politics/Ukraine Discussion Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
PS: what about that cannibal and the junkie?

Charles Fox10 said:Look, if you think someone’s a creep, fine—say it. But if you're just throwing around accusations or hinting at pedophilia without proof? Yeah, we’ll be seeing each other in court in three days. Seriously, quit tossing those labels around like candy. Don't go making baseless accusations.

Man, you call someone a Chetnik, a fascist, a Nazi, or just straight-up trash because of this whole mess in Ukraine, and you’re gonna get hit with a warning for breaking the rules faster than you can blink. Seriously.

Look, just a heads-up: if you start calling for war, glorifying violence, or cheering on people getting killed, you’re gonna get banned. Same goes for trashing the victims. Don't even go there.

Look, anyone trashing a whole nation? That’s an instant ban. We don't play that here—insulting people based on where they're from is strictly off-limits.

It all really comes down to the context of what’s being said, but I wanted to lay out some basic ground rules just so everyone’s on the same page. Consider this your heads-up, especially since we're diving into the sixth installment of this thread!

And most importantly? Just report the post and let it go. Seriously, just ignore it! One of us will jump in and handle it. If you start replying to a reported post, you’re basically breaking the rules yourself—plus, you're just falling for that whole "don't feed the trolls" thing we've all heard a million times before. It's getting old!

Look, this whole thing is getting pretty intense. Posts are flying in almost every single minute, and honestly? It’s getting tough to keep everything under control. No matter how many of us mods are pulling double shifts to watch the boards, stuff is bound to slip through the cracks sometimes. If we miss something, just give us a heads-up—either flag the post directly or shoot us a DM. We're doing our best!

Thanks for getting back to me so fast! That’s exactly what I was looking for this time around.

Charles Gomez said:We all know who the Russian sympathizers are and we know exactly who the old-school extremists were. Do I really need to spell that out for you?
It’s just like looking at the rhetoric coming from Russian apologists today and comparing it to those radical militias back in the early nineties: the "persecuted underdog" act, claims that fascists are running everything, an unarmed people fighting for survival, foreign mercenaries everywhere...

But then there's your take. What do you mean "pedophiles"?!? Who exactly are these pedophiles you're talking about? Nazis? Cannibals? Junkies?

I'm guessing you got banned for trolling because, honestly, your post was pure nonsense.

Same goes for us. We "know" who the anti-Russian crowd is, we "know" who represents them, we "know" who's cutting their checks, and we "know" who the pedophiles, Nazis, junkies, and "cannibals" are. We "know" where they come from and we "know" who's been funding, legally protecting, and giving them free passes in the media for years now.

Your projection of rhetoric versus my projection of rhetoric.

Your opinion, my opinion.

Why should your consistently held views go unpunished while my consistently held views are constantly being penalized?
Politics/Ukraine Discussion Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Charles Gomez said:If you think those two things are the same, then we’re totally done here. There’s nothing left to talk about.
You're seriously claiming two completely different things are identical. Unbelievable.

Charles Gomez said:Oh boy, here we go...
Just look at the rhetoric used by Russian propagandists and compare it to that old-school extremist stuff from the nineties...
If the situations are so different, why does the language sound so terrifyingly similar?

Jack Cook7
And what about the rhetoric from the supporters of those drugged-out, cannibalistic, pedophile Nazis?

Seriously, can someone explain what the actual difference is? My point was actually way milder and more vague since I didn't even target a specific group (at least not in this post).
Politics/Ukraine Discussion Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Charles Gomez said:Alright, then go ahead—quote me where I actually called someone a Chetnik. Since you’re so keen on quoting me in this thread anyway. ☕

Look, I was saying basically the exact same thing as you:
Charles Gomez said:Oh my god...
Just look at how much the Russian rhetoric overlaps with that old-school extremist rhetoric from the nineties...
If the situations are supposedly so different, why does the talk sound so terrifyingly similar?

Jack Cook7
And what about the rhetoric from those drug-addled cannibalistic Nazi pedophiles?

I got banned, you didn't, and neither did any other user in that last quote. So, what's the actual difference between our posts?

Meanwhile, I've been slapped with bans twice for saying almost the same thing within just two months. That tells me there's a pretty consistent pattern in how at least two of the mods handle things over a few months. I'm just looking for some clarity on this "consistency" and what the rules actually are.

PS: I didn't even specify who I meant by "those representatives," but it was OBVIOUSLY clear who I was talking about. If it was that obvious, then it's clearly common knowledge to the mods, so why is my opinion considered a crime? Bottom line—either both takes are against the rules, or neither of them are.
Politics/Ukraine Discussion Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Charles Gomez said:Look, you don't just get to have an "opinion" on whether someone's a pedophile. It's not a vibe or a feeling—they either are or they aren't. If you're gonna throw that kind of label around, you better have the receipts to back it up. We all know what defines that, so go ahead, prove it.

And honestly? Same goes for calling someone a terrorist. You can't just claim that as an opinion.
Politics/World Moderation: Ukraine Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, I don't need to sit here and defend myself. Everything’s already been laid out a thousand times over, and honestly, the arguments I’ve made are just as solid—if not more so—than anything else being said.

My point is simple: if YOUR take on this is considered acceptable by the mods, then MY take should be too.
Or maybe it just isn't.

But seriously, if YOU and your buddies keep posting your views over and over without getting flagged, why am I the one constantly getting hit for consistently sharing MY own views? Especially when my points are backed up by actual facts.

That is, assuming being factually correct even matters when it comes to freedom of speech.

So, I’m calling on the moderators, supermods, and admins here. Give me the actual rulebook for expressing opinions on this forum—specifically in the Politics section, and specifically regarding this whole mess.
Politics/World Moderation: Ukraine Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, I pretty much laid it all out in the bottom part of my first post, and honestly? That’s basically the TL;DR for thousands upon thousands of comments on this whole topic.
Politics/World Moderation: Ukraine Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, just because there were five Chetniks over in Crimea doesn't mean the whole anti-Maidan crowd are all Chetniks.

If we’re playing by those rules, though...

If you claim the entire movement is made up of Chetniks just because five guys in Crimea are rooting for Russia, then sure—by that logic, if you find five pedophiles, Nazis, cannibals, or junkies on the other side or among their spokespeople, you could label the whole Maidan movement the exact same way.

Bottom line? This is all about the right to free speech.
Politics/World Moderation: Ukraine Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, this isn't the spot for us to just bicker amongst ourselves.

What we really need to be talking about is the MODERATION CRITERIA AND THE EQUAL RIGHT TO AN OPINION.

So, if we've got viewpoints like:

(1) being against the movement = being a war criminal, Putin = Milošević, Hitler, etc., basically acting as "representatives of pro-Russian/anti-European/anti-Western/anti-American values"

(2) supporting the movement = being some drugged-out, Nazi cannibal, acting as "representatives of pro-European/pro-Western/pro-American values"

then we’re looking at a pure case of banning and punishing one side while letting the other slide.

As someone who stands against viewpoint (1), I’ve explained a hundred times why (1) just isn't grounded in reality, in my book. Yet, those pushing those views haven't been penalized once—not even me for debunking them! Other users have done it thousands of times too, despite warnings that they're cluttering the thread with nonsense or offensive junk.

But as an advocate for viewpoint (2), I’ve been punished TWICE, even though nobody bothered to check if that view was actually justified or not. And honestly, the facts showing that supporters of those "Western values" are exactly that kind of mess can be found in the news almost every single day.

If the war criminals get a pass, then the cannibals should too.

So, where's the line? Is it just the moderators?
Politics/World Moderation: Ukraine Thread #5 in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Man, this is like the second time I’ve been flagged for posting the exact same thing in the Politics/World/Ukraine section. Seriously? That's five strikes already. Honestly, someone needs to come in here and clean house on that thread because things are getting messy.

Look, to get where I'm coming from, I gotta point out that there’s this small group of people who just won't shut up. For months now, it’s been the same old broken record. They keep pushing this exact same mantra, over and over, claiming the situation in Ukraine is basically a carbon copy of what we dealt with back home in America. They’re out here insisting that the pro-Maidan forces are just like the Americans right before the war broke out, and that the anti-Maidan side is the direct equivalent of the Mexican Chetniks. They go on and on about how Russia is just a mirror image of Milošević's Mexico, or that Putin = Milošević. It's constant. Just endless repetition.

Man, this thread has five different parts now, which means we’re looking at nearly 50,000 posts from all sorts of random people. It’s wild. Thousands upon thousands of times, the same crowd has just chanted that same old mantra over and over again. And then, thousands upon thousands of times right back, other people have shut them down, offered totally different takes, or even came up with better ways to look at things by comparing it to the domestic wars or what was happening in the States and Canada back in the early 90s—or even stuff happening elsewhere in the world. Honestly, I’ve even started two other separate threads because it’s so obvious that the vast majority of people here don't buy into that mindset at all.

And yet, here we go again. It’s like a broken record! These same people just keep chanting the exact same mantra over and over. They keep clogging up the thread with these identical claims that have zero basis in reality. It isn't even about facts at this point—it's just their pure, unadulterated opinion, which has been debunked a million times already. Seriously!

Since it’s pretty clear that everyone’s just letting these people voice their "opinions," I figured I’d use the exact same tactic. So, here's my two cents: that whole pro-Western crowd? Honestly, they're nothing more than a bunch of drugged-up cannibals and creeps. There, I said it.

First timer here!

Original Post:
I can't believe we're actually talking about this again. Seriously, people need to wake up! It’s like everyone is just sleepwalking through history while everything shifts right under our feet. You see these headlines and you think, "Oh, that's just more noise," but it isn't. It really isn't. Jack Cook7 is totally spot on with what they said earlier, too. I was reading through the thread and honestly, if you don't see where this is heading, you aren't paying attention. We're looking at a massive shift in how the whole world operates, and most folks are too busy scrolling through their feeds to notice the cracks forming in the foundation. It's wild, man. Just wild. Everything feels so much more volatile lately, doesn't it? One day it's one thing, the next day the entire landscape has changed. We gotta stay sharp. Don't let the distractions get to you!

Jack Cook7 said:Look, you gotta realize that despite all the constant bickering and noise we see online, the good old-fashioned democracy is still out there doing its thing in the West. It’s happening.

I can't believe I just watched that. Seriously, my brain is kind of melting right now. You guys have to see this clip—it’s wild! It hits on so many things we've been talking about lately regarding how everything in the world is shifting so fast. Honestly, it's a bit overwhelming if you think about it too long. Just a total trip. What do you all think though? Is it just me, or is this getting crazy?

Man, that prosecutor's office building is just... wow. It’s huge. Seriously, you look at it and you can tell they aren't playing around over there. Just massive.

Jack Cook7
When are the drugged-up cannibals and creeps finally gonna show up?

Rock: You just scored 35 points on this violation, which means you might be looking at a temporary lockout until the timer runs out. Just a heads up—the heavy-duty stuff stays on your record forever.

That’s the second time today I’ve seen it. Another guy on here who’s been posting the exact same thing for months—hundreds of times now—just constantly hammering on with that "Russians = Chetniks" line.

Original Post:
I can't believe people are still arguing about this! Honestly, some folks just love to hear themselves talk. They sit there acting like they know everything about how things work in America, but let’s be real—most of them couldn't lead a dog on a leash, let alone navigate actual politics. It’s always the same loop, too. Someone says something half-baked, and then everyone jumps in to tear them apart without actually offering a single useful thought. It’s exhausting! I was reading through some of these threads earlier and man, the ego on some of these guys is off the charts. You see someone like Jack Cook7 trying to make a point, and suddenly it’s a total circus. Anyway, my rant is over. I'm just saying, maybe if we spent less time fighting over nothing and more time actually looking at the facts, we wouldn't be in this mess. But hey, what do I know, right? Just my two cents!

Jack Cook7 said:Oh man, seriously...
Honestly, you don't even have to dig that deep. Just listen to how these pro-Russia types talk and compare it to that old-school, ultra-nationalist rhetoric from the nineties... it’s basically the exact same playbook. Same vibe, different era.
If things are supposedly so different, then why does the rhetoric sound exactly the same? It’s wild, right?

Jack Cook7
And what about the rhetoric coming from those drug-addled, cannibalistic, pedophilic Nazi reps?

Result: calm down: This violation is worth 20 points and could get you banned from the site until it runs out. Heavy-duty infractions? Those stay on your record forever.

=========================

So, I gotta ask: what’s actually the deal here? What’s the difference between my take and what those two other posters are saying? I’ve laid out my opinion twice now, and I get slapped with a ban both times. Meanwhile, they—and honestly, everyone else like them—can repeat the exact same stuff hundreds of times (or thousands when you count all their arguments with other people) and nobody says a word! Seriously, what are the rules even based on?

If someone keeps insisting that their take on things is just "their opinion," then honestly? They’re full of it. Like, seriously. You can't just wrap any old nonsense in the "it's just my opinion" flag and expect people to buy it. It’s such a lazy way to dodge being called out when you're clearly just pushing an agenda. I see this all the time online—people throwing around wild claims and then acting all innocent like they're just sharing a little thought. Give me a break!

Those anti-war types? They're basically just modern-day insurgents.
Russia = Greater Mexico
Putin = Milošević
Putin = Hitler

I can't even begin to process this. Just... wow. Total madness!

So, what’s actually the difference when I’m just asking a question versus when I’m straight-up making a claim? Like, what's the deal there?

So, when are these "defenders of Western democratic values" finally gonna stop talking and actually start acting like total psychos? Seriously, when does the madness begin?

Man, the way those radical extremists are talking right now? It’s seriously chilling. Honestly, their rhetoric is so twisted, it sounds just like the garbage coming out of the mouths of those drugged-out, cannibalistic, pedophile Nazi psychos. It’s scary how similar they are.

Look, my reasoning on both counts is actually pretty straightforward:

It was all driven by this one big idea that...

Those self-proclaimed "defenders of Western values" they sent into Syria and Afghanistan? Total jokes. Honestly, just a bunch of cannibals and junkies. I mean, look at the heroin epidemic in Afghanistan—it’s everywhere you go whenever the US decides to step in and "intervene." It's a complete mess.

I mean, come on... you really think those Western media outlets and politicians are actually standing up for anyone? Please. They’re just paying them off to keep the script running. It's all just a pay-to-play game at this point.

Basically, everything in (2) was driven by that same logic—except for (1), obviously. It's all about that core idea.

Some of those "protesters" down at the rally were out there waving Nazi symbols, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know. Like, okay, so they clearly don't have an issue with Nazism. It's right there in plain sight.

Man, it feels like you can't scroll through the news without hitting another massive pedophilia scandal out of the West lately. I mean, look at the Saville thing or that whole Smith mess—it’s getting ridiculous. It honestly feels like these cases are just popping up everywhere these days. Just one after another.

Man, it’s like the Western media and politicians are still out there playing favorites, sticking up for those same old reps because they're basically on the payroll. It's all just one big pay-to-play scheme, honestly.

So what’s the deal if I drop my two cents twice and get slapped with a penalty both times, while other people spout the exact same "valid" opinions thousands of times? It’s wild! We’ve got people spamming the same old mantra over and over, and even though we—and the mods too, during the actual debate—keep flagging them and sending warnings, they just keep right on going. Like, seriously, how does that even work?

Look, if you’re gonna be all strict and start sanctioning me just for sharing my take—especially since the ratio is sitting at 2/2—then fine, go ahead and come after the thousands of other users posting the exact same stuff. If that's how we're playing it. Otherwise, I'd love an actual explanation from the mods, like Rock and Bubi Mir. Honestly, though? I’d much rather hear a breakdown from the rest of the mod team and the big bosses running this show.

This whole thread has basically turned into a playground for a few certain people who just love hearing themselves talk. It’s the same exact loop, over and over again. Honestly, it’s less like a discussion and more like a megaphone for the same mainstream media outlets and power structures that are constantly spinning the news out of Ukraine. They just keep pushing the same distorted narrative, and now this thread is just helping them do it.

Honestly, most of these forum trolls are just straight-up propaganda machines. They’re constantly playing on that old wound—trying to trigger Americans by bringing up all that historical trauma from the war years. It's not even about facts or actual proof at this point. They just loop the same tired mantra over and over again, specifically designed to hit an average American right where it hurts. They take all that deep-seated frustration from the War of Independence and try to pin it directly onto the people they hate. It's such a cheap tactic.

Look, it’s just an opinion. Or maybe a "so-called" opinion that's been debunked a thousand times already. But even if it isn't, it's still just a dissenting view—and honestly? Every single one of those views is EQUALLY VALUABLE. And more importantly, they are all EQUALLY NON-PUNISHABLE. Period.

Maybe it’s finally time to call it quits on this whole approach. I mean, look, I know everyone’s coming from a good place—trying to do right by Ukraine and stuff like that—but honestly? It’s starting to mess with how this entire Politics forum actually functions.

Is my take just somehow less valid? Or maybe my facts aren't hitting as hard as what the other guys on here are dropping? I feel like I’ve been spelling it out and giving a thousand warnings, over and over again, but maybe I'm just missing something!

So, I’m looking for some input here. What do you guys think?

P.S. Honestly, nobody has actually called me out or even tried to argue with my take on those "high on their own supply" types who claim to be the ultimate defenders of Western democratic values. Not one person.
Alright then, where on earth did they finally hide Adolf Hitler?

Some of us old-timers still remember the absolute meltdown back during that big measles outbreak in '72.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Measles_outbreak_in_the_US_1972.

Or take that situation where they found out some livestock being shipped by rail from Canada down to a major West Coast port was carrying a nasty virus. They ended up literally scorching a mile-wide corridor along the tracks and the highway—all the way from the border down to the coast—with caustic soda...

Look, if we’re defending Milanović, you have to realize he’d need a massive, rock-solid reason to refuse to order a vaccine when the entire world's media is screaming in a panic. He saw what happened to those folks in Poland. Not to mention, if things had spiraled even harder here in America, he would've been the one left holding the bag.
Tamiflu: Just another useless drug? in Close to Politics ·
Wait, didn't we talk about this before? That whole thing with the Novartis vaccine—you know, the Focetria one with the exact same "quality" issues—where they were the exclusive supplier for the National Institutes of Health?

So, get this: 1.5 million doses paid for at 73 million dollars, yet only 20,000 citizens actually got the shot.
rustywalker32 said:1. So, are people on Austrian, Swiss, and Italian forums actually starting discussions about exporting to Iran?🤣

2. Honestly, our Department of State and the US Chamber of Commerce are pretty much bystanders in all of this. It’s the private companies doing the actual exporting, not the government or the Chamber. The fact that politicians constantly try to take credit for economic wins is a whole different conversation.

Yeah, and they're doing it right alongside all the chatter about those protests over in Canada. ☕

2. Our Department of State and the US Chamber of Commerce are basically just side characters here. It's the companies doing the exporting, not the government agencies. The fact that politicians love to take all the credit for economic wins is a whole other conversation.

Man, oh man. You try explaining to me how some tiny company with maybe 100 employees suddenly builds high-level connections in Iran. What, do they just hop on Facebook or LinkedIn and find a buddy? Why is it that when a Chinese or Korean Prime Minister travels, they've got a massive entourage of business leaders trailing them everywhere? Why does the Department of State in other countries constantly bring their business moguls along on trips, and why don't they do the same thing back home?

What is the Department of State even for? Just stamping visas for Unknown people? Do they spend all day having these super serious, high-stakes talks about bilateral relations regarding interplanetary travel or teaming up with aliens from the planet Unknown—just to sit down with some Iraqi leader?
rustywalker32 said:And why on earth does exporting to Iran deserve its own dedicated discussion? There are still 195 other countries out there that America can trade with, many of which are far more vital to our interests than a distant and relatively underdeveloped Iran.

1. Objectively speaking, because this kind of stuff matters just as much to Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, and Russia... and let's be real, those guys probably know a hell of a lot more about global trade than we do.

2. Subjectively? Because our Department of State is basically clueless when it comes to spotting a golden opportunity. As for the US Chamber of Commerce or the Department of State—or whatever that whole agency is called—they seem mostly preoccupied with importing stuffed teddy bears.
Check out what Russia is up to:

According to Reuters, three different sources from Russia and Iran have confirmed they’re currently hashing out the final details of a deal where Moscow buys 500,000 barrels of Iranian oil every single day. In exchange? They'll be sending over Russian equipment, goods, and products.

I guess that means we might actually be able to export some stuff to Iran too. Aside from just sending aid through NGOs, anyway.

The National Guard is built on pure patriotism, so they’ll always be on the side of the people.
You need a National Guard when the government starts feeling totally disconnected from reality—when the state stops serving the people and starts just serving itself or political parties.
The National Guard acts as a power balance and a guarantee for those patriots willing to step up and bring the country back under the people's control.
I'd much rather have a unified National Guard at the federal level than all those random party-aligned or local militias popping up whenever the system starts falling apart.
You can't count on the Department of Justice in those moments because, first off, they're just there for the paycheck, and second, they're always working to protect whoever's in power. They just don't have the drive.
Not sure what the deal is with the US Armed Forces right now.
But a National Guard? That would be a beacon of hope for regular citizens.
Do you honestly think demilitarization and purging corrupt officials in America would go smoothly?
Why would this topic even be considered a trick?🤷
Look, I'm telling you, this isn't some kind of trick.

A National Guard that's disciplined, both armed and unarmed, without any foreign influence, focusing on long-term human values and making the country better—which was the whole point back in 1990—that's something you can actually get behind.
