I actually had to laugh at my buddy's situation. His girlfriend has been living with him for five years now, yet her official address is still listed at her parents' place—apparently, they’re waiting until they actually get married to deal with all the paperwork, change of address, and everything else...
So, if she heads out to the grocery store, she can't exactly head "home"—she has to go back to her folks, and if she wants to get home, she needs an e-Passport. It's quite a show 🤣
Made the drive out to Washington, D.C. today—ran into one patrol, they checked my pass without even asking for an ID, and I ended up spending about 186 miles in total.
Traffic is lighter, though still moving along—plenty of pedestrians out in Sesvete and Washington, D.C., but you barely see a soul once you hit the small towns. (Well, I guess that’s just how it usually goes 🤣)
In the city where my company is based, everything seems to be running... metalwork, plastic window manufacturing, flooring production, confectionery, and so on. Only the local pubs are locked up; everything else is pretty much business as usual...

Look at Hong Kong. They had everything totally under control, case numbers were dropping. Then they loosened up the isolation rules, and boom—in just one week, the number of new cases doubled. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/23/a...hnk/index.html
Hong Kong appeared to have the coronavirus under control, then it let its guard down CNN Digital expansion 2017. James Griffiths Analysis by James Griffiths, CNN
Updated 0837 GMT (1637 Hong Kong Time) March 23, 2020 .......... Now, however, Hong Kong is providing a very different object lesson -- what happens when you let your guard down too soon. The number of confirmed cases has almost doubled in the past week, with many imported from overseas, as Hong Kong residents who had left -- either to work or study abroad, or to seek safety when the city seemed destined for a major outbreak earlier this year -- return, bringing the virus back with them.
Isn't it just more clumsy to let this damn virus take whatever it wants and be done with it?
I don't see how anything survives if we keep going like this for more than 6 months, or years... 🤷
Look, I guess most moderators have actual jobs in the real world—they’re probably out there hustling on the side just to cover their bills or pick up some snacks... so sometimes nobody's around, and honestly, a forum that "runs so smoothly" doesn't exactly scream "aggressive moderation"... —I'll keep an eye on things, old school style!
People poked fun at everyone—from the local celebrities and Princess Diana to Chuck Norris, Shrek, and various politicians—even the straight crowd got teased, so I don't really see why the gay community should be any different

Because of that, "lesbian marriage" isn't actually a legal thing, so you can't really claim someone is being offensive by joking about something that doesn't exist in the eyes of the law. It’s honestly just like getting all worked up because someone made a silly joke about SpongeBob SquarePants.
Well, if we're being honest, SpongeBob SquarePants doesn't exist either. 🤷
Steven Clark2 said:Actually, I think what you're getting at is basically covered by the rule about users needing a certain post count—maybe 80 or 150, roughly—before they can start new threads. I just didn't want to clutter things up by starting three separate topics—though I suppose one could combine them, kind of like how people do over at Nestlé.
Not to sound like I don't know what I'm talking about—I'm really no expert on whether that's even technically possible—but I just wanted to weigh in.
These are pretty interesting questions, though, so hopefully we'll get some answers eventually.
I think your suggestion would be a lot more effective if applied to how we handle starting new threads.
The way it works now, people end up getting harassed through private messages, while the rest of us—the whole community here—just gets stuck dealing with spam or mindless, low-quality topics being posted everywhere...
Reputation isn't necessarily a bad thing—it just works better on those smaller, niche forums. This place is way too big for that; I guess most of us—the random users who make up maybe 80% of the crowd—would just end up swapping points and boosting each other's scores without any real reason behind it.

Given that most of the community already addresses me that way anyway, I’m hoping it won't be too much trouble to honor this request.🙂
Sure thing. Just reach out to hollowtrucker77 about it.
True—I guess I also just remember you as hollowfox19😁
